Notes concerning alarm systems
Breakdowns, malfunctions or faulty settings may cause substantial damage and financial losses when regulat-
ing and controlling the climate in a livestock house. It is therefore essential to install a separate, independent
alarm system that monitors the house climate concurrently with the climate and production controller. According
to EU-directive No. 98/58/EU, an alarm system must be installed in all mechanically ventilated houses.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the product liability clause of general terms and conditions
of sale and delivery specifies that an alarm system must be installed.

1 Product description
DA 1700 dual actuator wall fan is a flange-mounted corrosion-free fan with cone and motor-controlled shutter.
The fan is supplied in one version focused on low energy consumption and one version focused on maximizing
air output.
DA 1700 dual actuator is characterized by having a particularly tightly closed shutter, which prevents unwanted
air movement when the fan is not in operation, and a direct-driven motor to reduce motor maintenance.
DA 1700 dual actuator is specially designed for harsh livestock house environments. This applies to both cli-
matic and electrical influences.

2 Product survey
2.1 DA 1700 wall fan
For every 100 pcs. DA 1700 wall fans, 1 pcs. DA 1700 lifting kit and mounting parts are supplied. For
every 101-200 pcs., 2 pcs. DA 1700 lifting kit and mounting parts, etc. are supplied.
The lifting kit and mounting parts consist of:
DA 1700 lifting kit
safety straps
extra DA 1700 mounting parts.
3 pcs. technical user guides for the DA 1700 wall fan in English.

Fan control method - stepless.
The dual actuator is only recommended for areas with particularly strong
wind conditions, to ensure an optimal climate for the animals.
Note that the dual actuator solution has a higher current consumption com-
pared to the standard shutter motor.
Safety net outside must be mounted to comply with CE marking, in coun-
tries where this is required.
LPC motor controller
PM motor 1,5 kW.
0,7 m motor cable.
Supplied with mounting parts for assembly of DA 1700.
ErP 2015 approved.
435346 should not be used for negative pressure higher than 100 Pa.
2.2 Accessories
435327 DA 1700 safety net outside
DA 1700 outside safety net used if extra safety is required.
1 per wall fan.
Supplied with mounting parts.
Storm protection for mounting on outside net is included DA 1700.
If a DA 1700 outside safety net is deselected:
• A safety guard must be established.
• The 435337 DA 1700 storm protection wire for cone must be bought
separately.
• The requirements of the International Standard for Safety of machinery
ISO 13857 must be complied with.
435337 DA 1700 storm protection wire for cone
The DA 1700 storm protection wire for cone is used, if the DA 1700 outside
safety net is deselected.

435375 DA 1700 outside suspension
Used if required if DA 1700 is sagging and has not maintained its round-
ness.
Delivered without screws for fastening.

DA 1700 screw kit can be used for mounting DA 1700 in wall.

435317 DA 1700 insulation plate
The plate is used to minimize draughts and heat loss during cold periods,
when DA 1700 is not in use.
The plate should always be used if the dimensioned outside temperature is
less than 0°C.
Supplied with mounting parts.

435328 DA 1700 bracket for insulation plates
DA 1700 bracket for insulation plates is used for storage of insulation plates
when they are not in use, i.e. typically during the summer.
1 per 5 DA 1700 insulation plates.

435325 DA 1700 light trap black out
The light trap is mounted and removed manually.
Supplied as an unassembled unit incl. brackets.
Used for DA 1700 wall fan if a large amount of dimming is required in the
livestock house.
Light reduction factor 11.000.000:1.
The light trap reduces the air output of the fan by approx. 28%.
For mounting light trap see Mounting guide for DA 1700 light trap black out.
435326 DA 1700 light trap brown out
The light trap is mounted and removed manually.
Supplied as an unassembled unit incl. brackets.
Used for DA 1700 wall fan if dimming is required in the livestock house.
Light reduction factor 17.000:1.
The light trap reduces the air output of the fan by approx. 15 %.

Check that the parts ordered are present and undamaged before starting work. Please read through the entire
guide before starting assembly and fitting.
If the wall fan is installed in areas with risk of ice/snow slide, precautions must be made
to avoid damage to the wall fan.
