1. Box or personal drawer removal
Pull drawer out until it stops. Press in on lock catch spring
and at the same time pull out drawer. As drawer approaches
the end of case channel, tip head of drawer down and lift out.

3. Removal of case channels from pedestal
Remove the retaining case channels to the left side of each
pedestal. Free and remove case channels by pulling out in
direction of arrows.

2. File drawer removal
When removing file drawers from pedestal, the cradle
assembly must be removed with the drawer at the
same time. Store drawer on the front face to prevent
grease damage on carpet. To re-install, file drawer
must be seated into cradle assembly then re-installed
into pedestal. This is done to insure proper
drawer alignment and ease operation. Installer
should wipe any excess grease from exterior
of cradle prior to re-assembly.

4. Installation of lock bar into pedestal
Assemble inner lock bar tabs into slot located at the top and
bottom of pedestal. Bend locking tab out in direction of arrows thus
securing the lock bar in place. NOTE: A lock bar assembly
is shown being installed into a left hand pedestal and is typical
for a right hand all pedestals.
5. The lock tabs on lock bar must be at the same height as the
lock catch located on side of drawers. Lock tabs may be pulled
from one location and snapped into the proper location on lock
bar for your drawer arrangement.

6. Assemble lock, cam, onto lock cylinder with sims screw.
Insert curved ends of lock actuator rods into lock cam.
With the small indentation on lock cylinder facing upward,
extend actuator lock rod out above pedestal side behind
the desk top’s front brace and secure with (2) #10 x 3/4”
flat head screws.

7. Assemble inner lock bar tabs into slot located at the top and
bottom of pedestal. Bend locking tab out in direction of arrows thus
securing the lock bar in place. Insert hooked end of lock rod into
hole on top end of lock bar. Insert other end of lock rod into
lock rod retainer. Squeeze spring clip together and place onto
actuator lock rod. Insert lock rod end up into spring clip. Insert
the two tabs on lock rod retainer down thru slots on pedestal top
front cross piece and bend. NOTE: For swing door cabinets
refer to circled view and insert lock rod into lock rod bracket.
Insert the other end of lock rod up into spring clip. Secure lock
bracket onto front cross piece.

7a.The lock tabs on lock bar must be at the same height as the

8. Remove right hand hex bolt holding pedestal to desk top. Position security bracket to pedestal and secure in place
with the same hex bolt. Insert key into lock and turn from an unlocked position. Reach up inside of pedestal with
your hand and pinch spring together in direction of arrows. Slide spring to the right as far as it will go. Turn key
back to the unlocked position. The lock must move freely.
IMPORTANT: THE LOCK MUST ALWAYS BE IN A LOCKED
POSITION WHEN MAKING ANY LOCK LINKAGE ADJUSTMENTS.

9. (For 60” wide wing-units only)
When (2) pedestals are placed next to each other with the side
of one pedestal directly below lock tumbler place angle lock
guard on pedestal and secure with (2) #8 screws.

9a. Place lock rod cover support onto vertical surface of front top
cross brace. NOTE: Dimension “X” is taken from the side of
pedestal as shown in the chart. Refer to the chart and note
what dimension “X” is on your size unit. Use (2) 1/8” dia.
holes into front top cross brace. Secure lock rod cover
support to top front cross brace with (2) #8 screws.

flange on pedestal with #8 screws.

11. Slip bottom and rear flanges on lock rod cover support
under return tabs on left end of lock rod cover.

12. Determine the proper hole pattern at the right end of lock rod
cover for your model desk. Secure right hand end of lock rod
cover to angle lock rod cover.

13. Reinstalling case channels and files drawers into pedestals
Reverse Step 3 on page of these directions and replace case channels back into pedestals. Place file drawer
runner onto cradle suspension. Slide drawer in until it stops. Raise up slightly on drawer head to allow drawer
stops to pass the cradle stops. As drawer is closed the remaining distance, a slight up and down motion of the
drawer head will help the drawer seat into place.

14. Reinstall box or personal drawers
Place roller (box drawer) or glide (personal drawer) on rear of drawer runner over roller or glide on case channel.
Now push inward. The lock catch will snap into place and the drawer will level out on the case channels.
NOTE: Turn lock back and forth making sure all drawers lock and unlock with ease. If binding occurs, remove
drawers and check linkage.
