NOTE: DO NOT hit the inner
cylinder rod with the hammer.
Hit the outer rim of the cylinder.

Base and Caster/Glide Replacement
(Series 1 shown)

1. First, extend the cylinder to the highest
position using the seat height lever. Move seat to
rearward position while holding the seat slide
button. Next, lay chair upside down on its front
face. Hold base arm and pull caster/glide (tap base
arm if needed).
Hint: If pintle is stuck in base, remove with pliers.
2. Tap bottom of the cylinder with a hammer
(2a) while pulling forward on the chair base (2b).
3. Remove chair base.
4. Place new base onto cylinder and press
casters into new base. Turn chair over
and sit in it to complete chair base
installation.
