1. Remove the five (5) casters from the chair base.
2. Grasp the chair base with one hand. Hold base
firmly and strike the bottom of the cylinder with a
hammer to separate.
3. Use a pipe wrench to unscrew the cylinder from
the aluminum column support. Slide the plastic cover
off the cylinder, exposing the rubber O-ring. Remove
the o-ring by hand.

1. Remove the two steel screws from
each of the two (2) seat brackets on the
underside of the seat.
2. Remove the shoulder screws which
attach seat (at each side) to the chair
control.
3. Lift the seat free of back upright
swivel. Remove the pivot screws from
inside the seat. Recycle the steel
screws and seat.

1. Remove the two (2) star point screws at each side
of chair back. Remove back, cover plates and screws
from back upright. Use a large screwdriver to remove
the nylon seat brackets.
2. Loosen and remove the shoulder screws to
remove the nylon brackets. Use a large, wide blade
screwdriver to remove the steel inserts.
3. Rotate arms to vertical position. Use a star point
driver to loosen the steel shoulder screws and pull out
screw assembly. Slide each arm out of the back
upright.

Steel ScrapAcetalNylon
1. Insert flat-bladed screwdriver in the gap between
arm and arm cap to pry the two pieces apart. The
arm cap is scrap.
2. To remove the arm spring and detent, loosen
the small set screw in rear area of the arm.
3. Loosen shoulder screw from the long,
threaded stud.
4. Remove bearings then lift back upright from
chair control.

Steel Aluminum Acetal ScrapNylon
1. Remove four screws holding the cast aluminum column
support to the chair control and slide cover plate up and
over the height adjust handle. Remove the column support
from the chair control assembly.
2. Remove the two (2) exposed rubber bumpers from the
chair control and next, the height adjustment handle.
3. Remove the two (2) shoulder screws at bottom sides of
undercarriage. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, pry the two
sides of the undercarriage apart. The stop bushings on
each side of the rubber pack are now exposed and can be
removed by hand.
4. Use a mallet to remove the rubber pack from the pivot
link. Dispose of components as shown below.
