TEST PROCEDURES / OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT :

2. Suggested operation range 32°F(0°C) to 122°F(50°C) in ambient
temperature.

1. Working in the vicinity of a lead acid battery is dangerous. Batteries
generate explosive gases during normal battery operation. For this
reason, it is of utmost importance, if you have any doubt, that each
time before using your tester, you read these instructions very
carefully.
2.
To reduce risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions and those
published by the battery manufacturer and manufacturer of any
equipment you intend to use in the vicinity of the battery. Observe
cautionary markings on these items.
3.
Do not expose the tester to rain or snow.
PERSONAL SAFETY PRECAUTUONS :
1. Someone should be within range of your voice or close enough to
come to your aid when you work near a lead acid battery.
2.
Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid
contacts skin, clothing or eyes.

3. Wear safety glasses and protective clothing.
1.
If battery acid contacts skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap
and water. If acid enters eye, immediately flood eye with running cold
water for at least ten minutes and get medical attention immediately.
2.
NEVER smoke or allow a spark or flame in vicinity of battery or
engine.
3.
Be extra cautious to reduce risk of dropping a metal tool onto the
battery. It could spark or short-circuit the battery or other electrical
parts and could cause an explosion.
4.
Remove personal metal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces and
watches when working with a lead acid battery. It can produce a short
circuit current high enough to weld a ring or the like to metal causing a
severe burn.
PREPARING TO TEST :
1. Be sure area around battery is well ventilated while battery is being
tested.
2.
Clean battery terminals. Be careful to keep corrosion from coming in
contact with eyes.
3.
Inspect the battery for cracked or broken case or cover. If the battery is
damaged, do not use tester.
4.
If the battery is not sealed maintenance free, add distilled water in each
cell until battery acid reaches level specified by the manufacturer. This
helps purge excessive gas from cells. Do not overfill.
5.
If necessary to remove battery from vehicle to test, always remove
ground terminal from battery first. Make sure all accessories in the
vehicle are off to ensure you do not cause any arcing.
OPERATION & USE :
BATTERY TEST- NBT100/NBT200 (test for 12V batteries)
1. Before you test a battery in a vehicle, turn off the ignition, all
accessories and loads. Close all the vehicle doors and the trunk lid.

2. Make sure the battery terminals are clean. Wire brush them if
necessary. Clamp the black load lead to the vehicle negative battery
terminal. Clamp the red load lead to the vehicle positive battery
terminal.

LED display will light on and show the voltage of the battery on the
screen. Press "ENTER" to the next step.
NOTE : If you see HI / Lo / ---- / Blank appeared on the screen or
screen flickers, please refer to TROUBLESHOOTING.
4.
Please press ▲\▼ key to select the battery type of SLI or SEAL :
SLI : Standard SLI flooded batteries.
SEAL : VRLA/GEL/AGM etc sealed /MF batteries.
5.
Press "ENTER" to the next step.
6. Please press ▲\▼key to select the battery rating of SAE, din,
IEC, En, CA (MCA).
7. Press "ENTER" to the next step.
8. Please press ▲\▼key to input the battery capacity of CCA or CA(MCA)Κ
SAE : 200~1200 CCA DIN : 110~670 CCA
IEC : 130~790 CCA EN : 185~1125 CCA
CA(MCA) : 240~1440 CA(MCA)
Press "ENTER" to begin the test.
9. Test the battery within 1 second.
10. If the display shows CHA- (Is tested battery charged?). Please
press "ENTER" & select ▲\▼ key to choose yes or no, then
Press "ENTER" to the next step. (NBT100/NBT200 tester will judge
the tested battery status & decide to show out Step11 or not.)
11. When the test is complete, the LED display shows the actual CCA.
One of following five results will be displayed on LED lamps:

The battery is good but needs to be charged.

Battery is discharged. The battery condition cannot be
determined until it is fully charged. Recharge & retest the
battery. If reading is the same, the bat

replaced immediately.

The battery cannot hold a charge. It should be replaced
immediately. Or
–
The battery has at least one cell short circuit .It should
be replaced immediately.

Err on the screen & Second Red light

The clamps are not connected properly. Please check if
the clamps are connected properly. Or
–
The tested battery is bigger than maximum testing
CCA capacity.
12. Press <<ENTER>> return to step 3 or remove the test clamps from
the battery posts after completion of testing.
13. All selected data will be memorized after test, including battery type,
battery CCA standard, capacity of CCA, etc.

OPERATION & USE Κ
SYSTEM TEST - NBT200 (test for 12V systems)
FOR STARTER SYSTEM TEST
1. LED display will light on and show the voltage of the battery XX.XX on the
screen. Press “ENTER” to the next step.
NOTE : If you see H / Lo / ---- / Blank appeared on the screen or
screen flickers, please refer to TROUBLESHOOTING.
2-A. Please press ▲\▼key to select the system test: SySt. Press
“ENTER” to the next step.
2-B. Please press ▲\▼key to select the battery test (NBT100): bAtt.
Press “ENTER” to the next step.
3. Turn off all vehicle accessory loads such as light, air conditioning,
radio, etc. before starting the engine.
4. The screen shows CrAn. Press “ENTER” bottom to read the
minimum voltage of the battery.
5. Start the engine. Read the voltage after cranking the starter.
A.
Green LED lights. = Starting system ok.
B. YellowLED lights. = Starting system weak. Check connections,
wiring, and starter.
C. Red LED lights, the screen shows blank or the screen shows the
voltage of the battery XX.XX
= Starting system problem. Check connections, wiring, and starter
immediately.
FOR CHARGING SYSTEM TEST
1. After starter test, press “ENTER” bottom to go to charging system test,
the screen shows CHAr. press “ENTER” bottom to read live voltage.
2. Run up the engine to 1200 ~ 1500 rpm. Read the voltage while the car
is running.
A. Green LED lights. = Charging system ok.
B. Red LED lights = Charging voltage high. Check regulator.
C. Yellow LED lights = Charging voltage low. Check connections,
wiring and alternator.

3. Following the charging system at idle, continue the charging system
test with accessory loads. Turn on the blower to high (heat), high
beam headlights, and rear defogger. Do not use cyclical loads such as
air conditioning or windshield wipers.
A. Green LED lights. = Charging system ok.
B. Red LED lights. = Charging voltage high. Check regulator.
C.Yellow LED lights. = Charging voltage low. Check connections,
wiring and alternator
.
4. Turn engine off and remove the test clamps from the battery posts
after completion of testing to end test.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- If the screen shows HI :
Voltage of the tested battery is over 15.00V & too high for 12V battery.
NBT100/NBT200 won't work under this situation. Please re-check if the
tested battery is 12Volts.
- If the screen shows Lo :
Voltage of the tested battery is under 7 Volts. NBT100/NBT200 won't
work under this situation. Please recharge the battery & retest. If reading
is the same, the battery should be replaced immediately.
- If the screen shows blank :
The voltage of the tested battery is too low to serve the
NBT100/NBT200. Please recharge the battery retest. If reading is the
same, the battery should be replaced immediately. Or the clamps are
connected reversely. Please check & re-connect it.
- The screen flickers or shows --- :
The voltage is unstable. Please recharge the battery retest. If reading is the
same, the battery should be replaced immediately.

MESURES DE SÉCURITÉ
IMPORTANT :
1. Pour tester des batteries 12volts:

2. Intervalle de fonctionnement conseillé : température ambiante de
32°F(0°C) à 122°F(50°C).
AVERTISSEMENT :
1. Il est dangereux de travailler près d'une batterie au plomb-acide.
Lors du fonctionnement normal d'une batterie, des gaz explosifs sont
émis. Pour cette raison il est primordial de lire et de suivre les
instructions, chaque fois que vous utilisez votre testeur.
2. Afin de réduire les risques d'explosion de la batterie, vous devez
suivre ces instructions ainsi que celles du fabricant de la batterie ou
du fabricant de tout équipement utilisé près de la batterie. Lisez les
avertissements apposés sur ces produits.
3. Ne pas exposer le testeur à la pluie ou a la neige.
4. N'utilisez pas le testeur si les câbles sont endommagés, remplacez-
les immédiatement.
5. N'utilisez pas le testeur s'il est endommagé de quelque façon que ce
soit, faites-le réparer par un technicien spécialisé.

PRÉCAUTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ :
1. Assurez-vous qu'il y a quelqu'un à porter de vois ou suffisamment près pour venir
à votre aide lorsque vous travaillez près d'une batterie au plomb-acide.
2.
Assurez-vous d'avoir une bonne quantité d'eau fraîche et du savon à
proximité, au cas ou votre peau, vos yeux ou vos vêtements entreraient
en contact avec l'acide de la batterie.
3. Portez des verres de sécurité et des vêtements appropriés. Évitez de
toucher à vos yeux lorsque vous travaillez près d'une batterie.
4.
Si l'acide de la batterie entre en contact avec votre peau ou vos
vêtements, lavez-les immédiatement avec de l'eau et du savon. Si
l'acide pénètre dans vos yeux, aspergez-les d'eau courante froide pour
au moins 10 minutes et consultez un médecin immédiatement.
5.
Ne jamais fumer ou permettre des étincelles ou des flammes près de la
batterie ou du moteur.
6.
Soyez très vigilent afin de réduire les risques d'échapper un outil en
métal sur la batterie. Une étincelle, un court-circuit à la batterie ou à
une autre composante électrique peuvent causer une explosion.
7.
Enlevez bagues, chaînes, bracelets, montres ou tout autre objet
métallique lorsque vous travaillez avec une batterie au plomb-acide.
Une batterie au plomb-acide peut causer une court-circuit assez
puissant pour faire fondre une bague ou autre, et acuser des brûlures
sévères.
AVANT D'EFFECTUER UN TEST :
1. Assurez-vous que l'endroit est bien ventilé avant d'effectuer un test.
2.
Nettoyez les bornes de la batterie. Faites attention pour que la corrosion n'entre pas
en contact avec vos yeux.
3.

Inspecter la batterie, vérifiez s'il y a des fissures, si le boîtier ou le couvercle est
brisé. S'il y a des dommages, n'utilisez pas le testeur.
5.
Ajoutez de l'eau distillée dans chaque cellule jusqu'à ce que l'acide atteigne le
niveau spécifié par le fabriquant de batterie Ceci aide à purger l'excés de gaz dans
les cellules. Ne pas trop remplir.
6.
S'il est nécessaire d'enlever la batterie du véhicule pour effectuer le test, enlevez
toujours la borre de terre en premier. Assurez-vous que tous les accessoires sur le
véhicule ne sont pas en fonction afin d'éviter un jaillissement de l'acide.

UTILISATION :
TEST DE BATTERIE- NBT100/NBT200
1. Avant de tester la batterie dans un véhicule, coupez le contact et tous
les accessoires. Fermez toutes les portes et le coffre.
2. Assurez-vous que les bornes de la batterie sont propres. Brossez-les
avec une brosse métallique si nécessaire, Pincez le câble noir du
testeur à la borne négative de la batterie du véhicule. Pincez le câble
rouge du testeur à la borne positive de la batterie du véhicule.
3. Quand le moniteur LED est allumé, le voltage de XX.XX batterie
est montré sur l'écran. Appuyez sur la touche "ENTER" pour le pas
suivant.
Note: Si vous voyez HI / Lo / ---- / Blank apparaître sur l'écran ou
l'écran cligne, vous pourriez voir les instructions pour les problèmes.
4. Appuyez sur la touché ▲ \ ▼ pour choisir le type de batterie pour
SLI ou SEAL :
SLI: les batteries sont bien suffisantes. SLI est en standard.
SEAL: VRLA/ GEL/AGM sont scellés/ MF batteries.
5.
Appuyez sur la touche "ENTER" pour le pas suivant.
6. Appuyez sur la touche ▲\▼pour choisir l'évaluation de batterie
pour
SAE, din, IEC, En, CA (MCA) .
7.
Appuyez sur la touche "ENTER" pour le pas suivant.
8. Appuyez sur la touche ▲\▼pour donner la capacité de batterie pour CCA
ou CA(MCA):
SAE : 200~1200 CCA DIN : 110~670 CCA
IEC : 130~790 CCA EN : 185~1125 CCA
CA(MCA) : 240~1440 CA(MCA)
Appuyez sur la touche "ENTER" pour commencer le test.
9. Essayez la batterie en 1 seconde.
10. Si le moniteur montre CHA- (Est-ce que la batterie testée est
changée?), appuyez sur la touche "ENTER" et choisissez la touche
11. ▲\▼ pour choisir yes ou no, puis, Appuyez sur la touche
"ENTER" pour le pas suivant. (NBT100/NBT200 test va juger la
condition de batterie testée et il va decider si le pas 11 est marché ou
pas.)

Lorsque le test est terminé, l'affichage indique la tension et
l'ADF réels. II y a cinq résultats possibles.

la batterie, puis retestez
-la. Si l'affichage reste pareil, la
batterie doit être immédiatement remplacée.

La batterie ne peut pas être rechargée. Elle doit être
rechargée immédiatement. Ou

Au moins un des éléments de la batterie présente un
court-circuit. Il doit être remplacé immédiatement.

Err sur l'écran et le lumiére esten rouge

La batterie testée est supérieure à 1200 CCA (SAE), ou
les pinces ne sont pas connectées correctement. Vous
pourriez examiner et les re-lier. Si l'affichage reste
pareil, la batterie doit être immédiatement remplacée.
13. Appuyez sur <<ENTER>> et recommencez à l'étape 3, ou enlevez les
pinces des bornes de la batterie après le test.
14. Tout data sélectionné est mémorisé après le test, il est compris le type
de batterie et batterie CCA standard et la capacité de CCA etc..
