Procedure
W ARNING
Hydraulic uid escaping under pressure can
penetrate skin and cause injury . Fluid injected
into the skin must be surgically removed
within a few hours by a doctor familiar with
this form of injury; otherwise, gangrene may
result.
• Ensure that all hydraulic-uid hoses
and lines are in good condition and all
hydraulic connections and ttings are tight
before applying pressure to the hydraulic
system.
• Keep your body and hands away from
pinhole leaks or nozzles that eject
high-pressure hydraulic uid.
• Use cardboard or paper to nd hydraulic
leaks; never use your hands.
1. Ensure the stop pin is in the transport and
maintenance position holding the tool up.
2. Move the valve control levers forward and
reverse to release internal pressure in the
hydraulic hoses and tubes.
5

6. Install the control manifold and bracket to the
machine as shown in Figure 9 .

3. Hydraulic hose (65 cm or
25-1/2 inches)
6. Hydraulic tube (no port)

8. Install the hydraulic hose (90° elbow tting) to
the straight tting on the manifold, route it back
to the hydraulic uid cooler , and attach the 90°
elbow tting to the hydraulic uid cooler; refer to
Figure 10 ,Figure 1 1 , and Figure 12 .
Note: Ensure the hose is routed away from hot
surfaces, not rubbing on other parts, and not
being pinched.
