4. Functions and description
The basic tracrod anchor point is an original
piece of equipment which, for the purposes of
this manual, must be used as a personal fall ar-

fall arrest anchoring rod, exclusively supplied by
Tractel.
This Tractel®fall arrest anchoring system
consists of
• Two anchoring rings (g. 1, ref. 1).
• An installation surface (g. 1, ref. 2).
• A body (g. 1, rep. 3).
• Two xing holes (g. 1, rep. 4).

Manual.
• As an option, Tractel®can supply a 50 mm thick

Recommendations for use :
• The Tractel®fall arrest anchorage system
should only be used according to the instal-
lation specications of the recommended fall
arrest system connector (Figure 5)
• once connected to the anchor point of the user's
harness, the fall arrest connector must be locat-
ed at a maximum horizontal distance of 0.9m
from the vertical materialized by the anchor.
• The maximum working load of the Tractel®fall
arrest anchorage system is 150 kg per opera-
tor. It can be used by two operators (§ Tech-
nical specications). It is imperative to ensure,
before use, that all components of the fall ar-
rest system are compatible with this load by re-
ferring to their respective instructions. If this is
not the case, the weakest element in the chain
always determines the maximum working load
for the entire system.
• This Tractel®fall arrest anchorage device must
only be used to protect operators from falling
from a height or to receive a tracrod fall arrest
anchorage rod supplied by Tractel®.
“ BE CAREFUL ." Under no circumstanc-
es may the Tractel®tracrod base fall arrest

as a fall arrest anchorage point and as a
support for the Tractel®anchorage rod.
