Informationen zum Vorbild
Die legendäre Schnellzug-Lokomotive der Baureihe 10
wurde im Jahr 1957 in Dienst gestellt. Mit 3.000 PS war sie
die stärkste deutsche Schnellzug-Dampflokomotive. Die
Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 140 km/h erreichte sie sogar mit
einem 600 Tonnen schweren Zug.
Im Ablieferungszustand im Jahr 1958 hatte die 10 002 eine
Ölhauptfeuerung, wogegen ihre zuvor gelieferte Schwester-
maschine 10 001 eine Kohlefeuerung mit Ölzusatzfeuerung
hatte. Zur Verringerung des Luftwiderstandes erhielten die
Loks eine Teilverkleidung. Im betrieblichen Alltag bewährten
sich diese Maschinen außerordentlich gut, sogar bei täg-
lichen Laufleistungen von über 1.000 km.
Der damals einsetzende allgemeine Strukturwandel in der
Zugförderung bewirkte allerdings, dass von dieser Baureihe
nur zwei Maschinen gebaut wurden.
Information about the prototype
The legendary class 10 express locomotive was placed into
service in 1957. At 3,000 hp it was the most powerful German
express steam locomotive. It reached its maximum speed of
140 km/h (87.5 mph) even with a train of 600 metric tons.
As delivered in 1958, road number 10 002 had oil firing for
its principal firing in contrast to its sibling unit road number
10 001, which was coal fired with auxiliary oil firing. The
locomotives were equipped with partial streamlining to
reduce air resistance. In everyday service these units were
outstanding, even with daily runs of over 1,000 kilometers
(625 miles).
The general changes taking place in motive power on the
railroad at that time resulted in only two of this class being
built.

Informations concernant le modèle réel
La légendaire locomotive pour trains rapides de la série
10 fut mise en service en 1957. Avec ses 3 000 CV, c’était la
plus puissante locomotive à vapeur allemande pour trains
rapides. Elle était même capable d’atteindre la haute vitesse
de 140 km/h en tête d’un lourd train de 600 tonnes.
Lors de sa livraison, en 1958, la 10 002 était équipée d’une
chauffe principale au fuel, alors que sa grande sœur, la
10 001 était munie d’un système de chauffe au charbon
avec chauffe d’appoint au fuel. Afin de réduire la résistance
de l’air, les locomotives furent partiellement carénées. En
exploitation normale, ces machines se comportaient extra-
ordinairement bien et même lors de parcours quotidiens de
plus de 1 000 km.
Les modifications de structure générales en matière
d’accélération des trains décidées à cette époque firent en
sorte que seulement deux machines de cette série furent
construites.

in 1957 in dienst genomen. Met 3.000 pk was die de sterkste
Duitse sneltreinstoomlocomotief. De maximum snelheid van
140 km/h bereikte ze zelfs met een 600 ton zware trein.
In 1958 werd de 10 002 afgeleverd met een oliegestookt
hoofdvuur. Daarentegen had de daarvoor afgeleverde
zustermachine, de 10 001, een kolengestookt hoofdvuur
en werd met olie bij gestookt. Om de luchtweerstand te
verminderen werden de locs deels van een bekleding
voorzien. In het bedrijf van alledag bewezen deze machines
zich buitengewoon goed, zelfs bij dagelijkse afstanden van
meer dan 1.000 km.
De zich toen inzettende algemene conjunctuurverandering
in het vervoer per trein resulteerde er echter in dat van deze
serie slechts twee machines gebouwd werden.

Multiprotokollbetrieb
Analogbetrieb
Der Decoder kann auch auf analogen Anlagen oder Gleis-
abschnitten betrieben werden. Der Decoder erkennt die
analoge Gleichspannung (DC) automatisch und passt sich
der analogen Gleisspannung an. Es sind alle Funktionen,
die unter mfx oder DCC für den Analogbetrieb eingestellt
wurden aktiv (siehe Digitalbetrieb).
Digitalbetrieb
Der Decoder ist ein Multiprotokolldecoder. Der Decoder
kannunterfolgendenDigital-Protokolleneingesetztwerden:
mfx oder DCC.
Das Digital-Protokoll mit den meisten Möglichkeiten ist das
höchstwertige Digital-Protokoll. Die Reihenfolge der Digital-
ProtokolleistinderWertungfallend:
 Priorität1:mfx
 Priorität2:DCC
 Priorität3:DC
Hinweis: Werden zwei oder mehrere Digital-Protokolle am
Gleis erkannt, übernimmt der Decoder automatisch das
höchstwertige Digital-Protokoll; z.B. wird mfx & DCC erkannt

wird das mfx-Digital-Protokoll vom Decoder übernommen.
Einzelne Protokolle können über den Parameter CV 50
deaktiviert werden.
Hinweis: Beachten Sie, dass nicht alle Funktionen in allen
Digital-Protokollen möglich sind. Unter mfx und DCC können
einige Einstellungen von Funktionen, welche im Analog-
Betrieb wirksam sein sollen, vorgenommen werden.

Multi-Protocol Operation
Analog Operation
This decoder can also be operated on analog layouts or ar-
eas of track that are analog. The decoder recognizes alter-
nating current (DC) and automatically adapts to the analog
track voltage. All functions that were set under mfx or DCC
for analog operation are active (see Digital Operation).
Digital Operation
The decoders are multi-protocol decoders. These decoders
canbeusedunderthefollowingdigitalprotocols:mfxorDCC.
The digital protocol with the most possibilities is the highest
order digital protocol. The sequence of digital protocols in
descendingorderis:
 Priority1:mfx
 Priority2:DCC
 Priority3:DC
Note: If two or more digital protocols are recognized in the
track, the decoder automatically takes on the highest value
digital protocol.For example, if mfx & DCC are recognized,
the mfx digital protocol is taken on by the decoder. Individual
protocols can be deactivated with Parameter CV 50.

supposed to be active in analog operation, can be done

Mode multiprotocole
Mode analogique
On peut aussi faire fonctionner le décodeur sur des instal-
lations ou des sections de voie analogiques. Le décodeur
identifie automatiquement la tension de voie analogique
(DC). Toutes les fonctions qui ont été paramétrée pour le
mode analogique sous mfx ou sous DCC sont actives (voir
mode numérique).
Mode numérique
Les décodeur sont des décodeur multiprotocole. Le
décodeur peut être utilisé avec les protocoles numériques
suivants:mfx,DCC
Le protocole numérique offrant les possibilités les plus
nombreuses est le protocole numérique à bit de poids
fort. La hiérarchisation des protocoles numériques est
descendante:
 Priorité1:mfx
 Priorité2:DCC
 Priorité3:DC

Indication : Si deux ou plus de deux protocoles numériques
sont reconnus sur la voie, le décodeur choisit automatique-
ment le protocole numérique le plus significatif. Entre les
protocoles mfx & DCC par exemple, le décodeur choisira
le protocole numérique mfx. Vous pouvez désactiver les
différents protocoles via le paramètre CV 50.
Indication : remarquez que toutes les fonctions ne peuvent
pas être actionnées dans tous les protocoles numériques.
Sous mfx et sous DCC, il est possible de procéder à
quelques paramétrages de fonctions devant être actives
dans le cadre de l’exploitation analogique.
Remarques relatives au fonctionnement en mode digital
