5. Installation

•Connect the stand-by battery.
•Screw the front plate onto the back plate and close the unit.
6. Connection
•Telephone line: Connect an existing telephone line to RJ45
connector. Remark: If there is no telephone line connected,
the central will display a message (“PATh TROUBLE”) and
emit a sound when the alarm is triggered. This message can
be deactivated by putting all telephone numbers on “0”
when programming the central unit.
•Power supply: Connect the included power adapter to the
12VDC/1A input. This power supply will also automatically
charge the internal stand-by battery, which will supply
power when the current is cut off. The central unit will emit
a sound when this internal battery is drained.
•Terminals 1 through :
oTerminals 1 and 2: 12VDC power supply output. This
output has a constant power of 12V and can be used to
power the external sensors. Attention: terminal 1 = +;
terminal 2 = - (GND).
oTerminals 3 and 4: Connection for the external siren
(12VDC, 00mA). Attention: terminal 3 = - (GND) (black
wire); terminal 4 = + (red wire).
oTerminals 5 through : Connections for 4 external wired
sensors. These sensors must be of the NC type (NC:
normally closed). Terminal 5 through are assigned to
ARM ZONE 1 through ARM ZONE 4. Connect the second
wire of the sensor to the ground (-) of the central unit (terminal 2 or 3). Wireless sensors will be
assigned to ARM ZONE 5 through ARM ZONE 12.
Important remark concerning terminals 5 through 8: Connect each unused terminal to the ground (-)
(=terminal 2 or terminal 3) so as to not send false signals to the central unit.
7. Alarm Unit

b. Co es
The system uses 2 security codes which can be modified by the user.
The First code is the system co e. This code will be used to enter the programming mode of the unit. It is
the most important code since without it the user will not be able to program and to modify other codes.
Keep this code in a secure place. The default value is “000000”.
The second code is the user co e. This code will be used to deactivate the alarm system (DISARM). The
default value is “1234”.
The unit will enter an alarm status when connecting to the power supply. The message “ARM st” or “DISARM
st” will be displayed. To enter the programming mode or the settings, activate the DISARM mode first.
c. Deactivating the alarm system (DISARM)
Deactivate the alarm system (DISARM) by entering the user code (default: 1234).
The “DISARM st” message will be displayed and you will hear the vocal message “System disarmed”. Note
that the system will not react to an intrusion trigger signal. It will only react to a SMOKE, GAS or PANIC
signal (24h-alarm).
For security reasons, an alarm engaged with the DELAY function can only be deactivated through the remote
control. When the alarm is activated, e.g. after the delay time has elapsed, it can be deactivated from the
central unit.

. Activating the alarm system
There are two ways to activate the alarm system.
1. AWAY activation:
The system reacts to all connected and programmed sensors. The message “ARM st” will be displayed
and you will hear the vocal message “System armed”. Activate the system by pressing the AWAY button.
2. HOME activation:
This mode will only secure programmed zones while other will not be covered by the system. This allows
the user to freely access some zones without triggering the alarm. The message “GUARD st” will be
displayed and the vocal message “System armed” will be heard. Activate the system by pressing the
HOME button.
REMARK: Sensors programmed for fire, gas or panic detection (24h-function) will remain activated, even
when the system is in DISARM mode.
e. Entering the programming mo e
To enter the programming mode, put the central unit in DISARM mode first and press the SET button. The
message “INPUT LEVEL” will be displayed. Enter the system code (6 characters), followed by a press of the
# button to confirm.

Press a number to enter the corresponding submenu. Example: Press “1” to enter the “Sys” menu.
“Sys” Menu
The “Sys” menu has following submenus:

Submenu 1 – Level
1. Sys level
2. User level
Sys level:
The message “Input sys level” will be displayed. The user can modify the system code to a personal
code (default “000000”). The code must consist of 6 characters and must be confirmed with the #
button. The user will be directed to the previous menu with a correct input.

code (default “1234”). The code must consist of 4 characters and must be confirmed with the #

Submenu 2 - Co e
This menu is not used.
Submenu 3 - Report

A report is sent to the central unit.

Submenu 4 - Delay
This menu will be used to program the time needed for the alarm system to activate from the time the
user engages the system (in AWAY mode only). This delay will give the user enough time to leave the
secured zones before the alarm is triggered.
Time setting from 0 ~ 99 seconds

Example:
In this example, the delay has been set to seconds in which the user will leave the secured zones
before triggering the alarm. The unit will emit a beep every second. Note that the delay time always
consists of 2 digits. Confirm with the # button.
 “Zone” Menu
In the “Zone” menu each alarm zone (zone 01-12) can be separately assigned to a specific alarm type or
deactivate an alarm zone. Enter the zone number. The message “Input arm zone” will be displayed. The
entered value must be between 01 and 12. Confirm with the # button.
Remark: The first 4 zones (arm zone 1 - arm zone 4) are assigned to the sensors connected to terminals
5 ~ . The wireless sensors (included) are assigned to zones 5 ~ 12.

Input arm zone
**
Next, choose between 4 different alarm types for each zone.
1. Instant 2. delay
3. 24Hr 4. bypass
Instant
The alarm will immediately be triggered and the central unit will display a message. This mode is
suited for window sensors. The message “SECURITY ALARM” will be displayed when the alarm is
triggered.
Delay
Same alarm mode as above but with a programmable delay. The central unit will wait until the delay
has expired before triggering the alarm. This mode allows the user to deactivate the alarm first when
entering a secured zone. The message “SECURITY ALARM” will be displayed.
Remark: The instant and delay modes can only be used in ARMED mode.
24Hr
This mode will not be used as an intrusion alarm but rather as a smoke, gas or panic alarm. The alarm
can also be triggered when the system is in DISARMED mode. This mode will display 3 message types.

1. Smoke: smoke alarm; 2. Gas: gas alarm; 3. Panic: panic alarm
Bypass
The alarm zone has been deactivated.
“Setup” Menu
This “Setup” menu has following submenus:
1. Alert 2. Home

Submenu 1 - Alert
Here, the user can program the alarm time. The connected siren will sound when the alarm is
triggered. The message “Set alarm time” will be displayed. The value must be between 0 and 999
seconds. Make sure to enter 3 digits: enter a time of 9 seconds as “009”.Confirm with the # button.

Submenu 2 - Home
This menu is used to program which zones will be deactivated in HOME mode. The user will be able to
move freely in each of the deactivated zones without triggering the alarm.

Return to the previous menu by pressing the * button after having entered all the desired zones.

This menu is used to program the telephone numbers to dial when the alarm is triggered. The
number must consist of minimum 3 and maximum 13 digits. The message “PATh TROUBLE” will be
displayed and a sound will be heard when the system has a faulty connection.

Tele1: Number of the central when there is a connection. Tele2 ~ 4: Numbers used for vocal
messages.

Enter the value “o” when the telephone number does not need to be dialled.
Dial
Menu used to program the number of calls. The default value is 3 times. Enter a number and
confirm with the # button.

Vibrant ring
Menu used to program the number of rings before the telephone (connected to the central unit) will
switch to the “Remotely Controlling the Central Unit” function (see below). The default (and max.)
value is rings. Enter a number from 01 to 99 and confirm with the # button.

Note: unfortunately there is no direct relationship between the entered number and the number of
rings. E.g. 10 = 6 rings, 60 = 5 rings, 99 = rings.
Submenu 4 – Del home
Press button 4 (del home) in the SETUP menu to erase all the zones assigned to the HOME mode (or
GUARD st). The previous menu will be displayed next.
“Stu y” Menu
This menu is used to program all the remote controls and wireless sensors into the system.

Select a remote by pressing a number (1 ~ 4) and confirm with the # button. The central unit will
display following message:

Next, press any button on the remote control. The central unit will emit a short beep and display the
previous menu. The remote control has been saved into the system. Repeat previous steps to save
more remotes.
Submenu 2 – Arm zone
This menu will be used to program up to wireless sensors and to assign each of them to a particular
zone.

Select your zone (armzone 05 up to armzone 12). Zones 1 through 4 are reserved for wired sensors
(terminal 5 ~ terminal onto the PCB). Confirm with the # button. Following message will be
displayed:

Next, activate the sensor. The central will emit a short beep and display the previous menu. The
sensor has been assigned to its zone. Repeat previous steps to assign more sensors.
Submenu 3 – Del
The Del menu is used to erase all saved remote controls and sensors.
h. Alarm Messages through the Telephone
The central unit will dial the programmed telephone numbers when the alarm is triggered. Short beeps will
be heard (the number depends on the number programmed in “dial times”). The user will hear the vocal
message upon answering the telephone. Press the # button on the telephone to make the central unit stop
calling.
i. Remotely Controlling the Central Unit
The central unit can be remotely switched on and off. To do so, dial the number of the telephone line
connected to the unit. The alarm unit will answer the call after the number of rings programmed in “vibrant
ring”. Press the user code first and confirm with #, followed by:
1 to enter the ARM mode
2 to enter the DISARM mode
3 to listen to built-in microphone of the central unit
4 to cancel the call.
8. Comman s on the Remote Control an the Help Alarm
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
•The 4-key remote control will be encoded automatically. The commands can be used as soon as the remote
control is saved into the system:
•[R1] DISARM: alarm system deactivation
•[R2] HOME ARM: entering the HOME or GUARD mode
•[R3] AWAY ARM: entering the AWAY mode
•[R4] HELP: panic function activation (push upwards to activate)
Remark: Follow these steps to assign a different code when 2 or more remote controls have been encoded
similarly:
Open the remote control by unscrewing the screw at the back. Remove the battery. Hold any key on the
remote control pressed and reinstall the battery. The LED on the remote control will blink. Release the
pressed key. The remote control has learned a new address. Close the remote control and reprogram into
the system.
•Press the panic button on the help remote [A1] three times to activate the panic alarm.
9. The PIR Sensor
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
•Open the motion sensor by unscrewing the 3 screws at the back.

•The PIR sensor can detect motion in 2 ways. By setting the jumper [P2] in the first mode (1x) the sensor
will trigger the alarm immediately after detecting motion. By setting the jumper in the second mode (2x) the
sensor will wait for a second motion detection after the first one. This mode can be used to reduce the
detection of motion caused by house pets.
•In the second mode, set the time interval by turning the sense time interval switch [P1] (max. ±150s.).
•Install a 9V battery (incl.). Wait for ± 60 seconds until the sensor has stabilised.
•Press the code switch [P3] to send an address code for the sensor to the alarm unit. The green LED [P4]
flashes quickly. Make sure the sensor does not detect movement during this initialization (e.g. cover the
sensor [P7]). When initialization is completed, the green LED [P4] starts flashing slowly.
•When motion is detected by the PIR sensor [P7], the red LED [P5] turns on.
•To switch off LED feedback, remove the LED jumper [P6].

Remarks:
oThe alarm station only remembers the last added wireless sensor added to a zone! This means that per
zone, only one wireless PIR sensor can be used.
oThe red LED will blink when the battery is almost drained (<7V).
oDo not install the sensor onto a metal support or plate.
oKeep the sensor away from direct sunlight and temperature variations (air conditioner, heating...).
10. Door or win ow Sensor
Install the 2 sensors as illustrated on page 2 of this manual.
•Make sure to align the triangles on both sensors and to keep the spacing between them less than 5mm.
•Open the battery compartment and install the included 12V battery. Assign the sensor with a unique address
with the DIP switches. Close the sensor and program it into the central unit. The red LED on the sensor will
light at each door opening.
Remark: The transmitter will emit a sound when opening the battery compartment
