1. Introduction

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that
disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm the
environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as
unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a
specialized company for recycling. This device should be
returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect

3. General Guidelines

This system can provide valuable protection for your home and
property if used properly. However, it cannot guarantee complete
protection against burglary or robbery. Therefore, Velleman nv will
not be responsible for any losses or damages which occur during
the use of this product.
Keep this device away from dust and extreme temperatures.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when
operating the device.
Do not aim the camera at the sun or other extremely bright
objects.

Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually
using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered
by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in
an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual
is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept
responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device except for
the batteries. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or
spare parts.
Do not use this product to violate privacy laws or perform illegal
activities. Respect the legislation in your region when installing an
alarm system. If necessary, refer to local authorities.

5. Battery
WARNING
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in
fire as they may explode. Do not attempt
to recharge non-rechargeable batteries
(alkaline). Dispose of batteries in
accordance with local regulations. Keep
batteries away from children.
WARNING
Remove the batteries if you are no longer
using the device or if the device is left
unused for an extended period of time.
Remove used batteries promptly.

Sensor
1. Open the battery compartment and insert three AAA batteries
according to the correct polarity.
2. Close the battery compartment.
Receiver
1. Open the battery compartment and insert three C batteries
according to the correct polarity.
2. Close the battery compartment.
Note
The receiver can also be powered using a 5 VDC, 200 mA power
supply.
6. Installation
1. Choose the installation spot considering the following:
oMake sure that there is no hidden wiring which could be
sectioned when drilling holes.
oThe PIR sensor detects heat. Avoid aiming the sensor towards
the sun, spotlights and heat-producing devices such as
radiators and heaters.
oMount the sensor at a minimum height of 1 m above the
ground. If installed under garage eaves, make sure that the
sensor is not blacked by gutters and the like.
oIf installed at a height of 2 m or more, the sensor should be
aimed downward and pointed toward the area to be monitored.
oMake sure the installation spot is flat, dust-free, protected from
rain and other weather elements, and not prone to vibrations.
2. Use the installation holes on the devices to determine the
distance of the mounting holes. Drill the holes and install the
sensor and receiver using the included mounting accessories.
Remember to install the receiver within 120 m of the sensor.
7. Operation
1. Switch on the receiver. Allow about 30 seconds for warm-up.
The receiver will emit two short beeps, indicating the unit is
working.
2. Test the sensor by walking into the covered area. Relocate or re-
install the sensor or receiver if no alarm is heard.
3. Finally, select the desired volume and melody.

8. Cleaning and Maintenance
Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not
use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.

1. Inleiding

Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat,
als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel
schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en
eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke
afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf
terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of
naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke
milieuwetgeving.

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften

Dit systeem kan een waardevolle bescherming zijn voor uw huis
en eigendom indien het juist gebruikt wordt. Toch kan dit systeem
geen volledige beveiliging bieden tegen inbraak of roof. Daarom
kan Velleman nv niet verantwoordelijk worden gesteld voor
eventuele verliezen en schade.
Bescherm het toestel tegen stof en extreme temperaturen.

Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de
bediening van het toestel.
Richt de camera nooit naar de zon of naar andere weerkaatsende
objecten.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat
gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen aan
het toestel. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft
aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie
vervalt automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.
De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde
richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de
verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier
rechtstreeks verband mee houden.
Er zijn geen door de gebruiker vervangbare onderdelen in dit
toestel, behalve de batterijen. Contacteer uw verdeler voor
eventuele reserveonderdelen.
Installeer en gebruik dit toestel NIET voor illegale praktijken en
respecteer ieders privacy. Respecteer de plaatselijke wetgeving bij
het installeren van een alarmsysteem. Neem eventueel contact op
met de plaatselijke autoriteiten.

5. Batterij
WAARSCHUWING
U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het
vuur gooien (explosiegevaar). Herlaad
geen alkalinebatterijen. Gooi batterijen
weg volgens de plaatselijke
milieuwetgeving. Houd batterijen buiten
het bereik van kinderen.

WAARSCHUWING
Verwijder de batterijen als het toestel niet
meer of gedurende een lange tijd niet
wordt gebruikt.
Verwijder gebruikte batterijen onmiddellijk
uit het toestel.
Sensor
1. Open het batterijvak en plaats drie AAA-batterijen. Respecteer
de polariteit.
2. Sluit het batterijvak.
Ontvanger
1. Open het batterijvak en plaats drie C-batterijen. Respecteer de
polariteit.
2. Sluit het batterijvak.
Opmerking
De ontvanger kan ook gevoed worden met een 5 VDC-
voedingsadapter (200 mA).
6. Montage
1. Kies de geschikte montageplaats. Houd rekening met de
volgende punten:
oControleer of er geen verborgen kabels aanwezig zijn voor het
boren.
oDe PIR-sensor detecteert warmte. Richt de sensor niet naar de
zon, schijnwerpers of andere toestellen die warmte produceren
(bv. radiators, verwarmingselementen).
oMonteer de sensor op een minimumhoogte van 1 m. Bij een
montage onder dakranden, zorg ervoor dat de sensor niet
geblokkeerd wordt door dakgoten, enz.
oBij een montagehoogte van 2 m of hoger, richt de sensor naar
beneden en gericht naar de zone die u wilt bewaken.
oZorg ervoor dat de montageplaats vlak, stofvrij, beschermd is
tegen regen of andere neerslag en niet gevoelig is voor
trillingen.
2. Gebruik de boorgaten van de toestellen om de afstand van de
montagegaten te bepalen. Boor de gaten en monteer de sensor
en ontvanger met de meegeleverde schroeven en pluggen.

Monteer de ontvanger binnen een bereik van 120 m van de
sensor.
7. Gebruik
1. Schakel de ontvanger in. Laat het toestel ongeveer 30 seconden
opwarmen. U hoort twee korte pieptonen om aan te geven dat
het toestel functioneert.
2. Loop in het detectiegebied om de sensor te testen. Monteer de
sensor/ontvanger opnieuw of op een andere plaats als het alarm
niet afgaat.
3. Stel het gewenste volume en melodie in.
8. Reiniging en onderhoud
Reinig het toestel af en toe met een vochtige doek. Gebruik geen
bijtende chemische producten, reinigingsmiddelen of sterke
detergenten.
