Warning: Do not open luminaire while mains supply is switched on.
Apart from cleaning the outside of the luminaire, no special maintenance is necessary.
Damaged mains supply cable: Contact your authorised WE-EF agent for replacement.

Installation
The product must be installed and maintained by a
suitably qualified person in compliance with the latest
applicable regulations and relevant legislation.
Ensure the luminaire frame and lens are clear of dirt
and debris.
Do not open the luminaire in humid conditions or during
rain – condensation may form inside the luminaire.
Claims based on defects attributable to improper
installation, application, operation and/or any modifi-
cation carried out by the purchaser or third parties,
and the consequences thereof, are excluded.
Minimum Distance
ETC330-GB: No minimum distance.
ETC340-GB: Ensure the minimum distance for objects
to be illuminated is correct (see illustration ------m
inside luminaire).
Installation Methods
For proper installation, use the supplied installation
blockout.
Ensure that proper drainage is provided for the shown
installation methods:
In landscape areas, soil with gravel base (Fig. I).
In paved areas, concrete with gravel base (Fig. II).

Phase One
Blockout Installation Procedure
(during earth or masonry work)
1) Ensure a suitable recess is provided to accommo-
date installation blockout/mounting ring assembly
B/M.
2) Select appropriate installation blockout holes S
(at the corners of installation blockout B). Peel-off
the sticker(s) and feed mains supply cable(s) O
through installation blockout holes S.
3) Set installation blockout/mounting ring assembly B/
Min position and make sure that:
a) Arrow Ron mounting ring Mis pointed towards
the object to be illuminated (wall, tree, column).
b) Mounting ring Mis flu sh with surface F. If the fl
oor will be tiled or paved afterwards, leave an ap-
propriate gap.
c) Mains supply cable(s) Ois of suffic ient length to
connect sealable junction box Jwith terminal cable
Efrom luminaire housing A. (250mm out of
blockout)
4) During ongoing earth and/or masonry works, do not
remove screws Xfrom mounting ring M. Ensure
that installation blockout/mounting ring assembly
B/Mis not damaged and has maintained its original
shape. If necessary use a cover plate.
Phase Two
Luminaire Installation, Electrical Connection, and
Aiming Procedure
5) Switch off mains electrical supply.
6) Check that rating shown on luminaire label con-
forms with mains electrical supply.
7) Remove screws Xfrom mounting ring M.
8) Terminate cable E(from luminaire housing A) and
mains supply cable Oin sealable junction box J
(or: two mains supply cables O, if through wiring is
required). For termination details, refer to separate
instruction sheet as provided with junction box.
9) Remove cover Pand lens/gasket assembly Qby
loosening screws C.
10) Set cables and sealable junction box Jinside
installation blockout B.
11) Place luminaire housing Ainto installation block-
out/mounting ring assembly B/M. Secure luminaire
with mounting ring Mby tightening screws X.
Warning: When luminaire housing Ais placed in-
side installation blockout B, ensure there is no
stress on sealable junction box Jor electric cables
(Fig. III).
Aiming of gimbal
12) Read attached page regarding Desiccant Sachet
13)Insert screw driver into a slot on locking wheel W.
Rotate locking wheel Win the 'OPEN' direction
until gimbal can be moved (Fig. IV).
To horizontally aim the gimbal
(Rotation 360°)
Hold fins I to rotate the gimbal.
To vertically aim the gimbal
(Tilt 0-20°)
a) Insert screw driver into hole T.
b) Adjust gimbal to desired angle (Refer to protrac-
tor scale U).
Note: Angle can be adjusted in 2° increments.

13)Insert screw driver into a slot on locking wheel W.
Rotate locking wheel Win the 'LOCK' direction
until the gimbal is firmly secured (Fig. IV).
Warning: Do not tighten more than necessary to
secure gimbal.
14)Ensure that all surfaces are clean and dry.
Reposition lens/gasket assembly Q, cover Pand
screws C on luminaire housing A.
15)Switch on mains electrical supply and operate light
source for approximately 30 minutes to dry any
moisture.
16)Secure cover Pas follow:
a) Partially secure screws Cin criss-cross
sequence (Fig. V) starting from position 1.
b) Tighten screws Cin same sequence.
c) Fully tighten screws Cin same sequence again,
using torque 5 Nm.

Inserting Desiccant sachet into ETC gimbal
NOTE: LED luminaires are static sensitive devices; please ensure that appropriate ESD measures are taken before opening luminaire. If in
doubt, please contact WE-EF.
The desiccant sachet MUST not be left in the open environment. please seal luminaire down within 15 minutes of
opening sachet.
1) Remove cover and lens/gasket assembly by loosening screws (Pic 1)
2) Insert screw driver into a slot on locking wheel in the open direction and remove heatsink assembly (Pic 2)
3) Remove Desiccant Sachet from the foil pack (Pic 3)
4) Place Desiccant sachet into housing and replace heatsink assembly (Pic 4)
5) Aim gimbal and tighten (Pic 5)
6) Place lens back onto housing noting alignment of indexing stud (Pic 6)
7) Secure cover
a) Partially secure screws in criss-cross sequence starting from position 1
b) Tighten screws in same sequence again. using torque 5 Nm (Pic 7)
