Phase One
Blockout Installation Procedure
(during earth or masonry work)
1) Ensure a suitable recess is provided to accommo-
date installation blockout/mounting ring assembly
B/M.
2) Set installation blockout/mounting ring assembly
B/Min position and ensure that:
a) Arrow Ron mounting ring Mis pointed towards
the object to be illuminated (wall, tree, column).
b) Mounting ring Mis ƃush with surface F. If the
ƃoor will be tiled or paved afterwards, leave an
appropriate gap.
c) Mains supply cable(s) Ois of sufƂcient length to
connect sealable junction box Jwith cable Efrom
luminaire.
3) Select appropriate installation blockout holes K
from the four corners of installation blockout B.
Peel-off sticker(s) and feed mains supply cable(s) O
through installation blockout holes K.
4) During ongoing earth and/or masonry works, do
not remove stickers on Ƃxing thread holes D.
Ensure that installation blockout/mounting ring
assembly B/Mis not damaged and has maintained
its original shape. If necessary use a cover plate.
Phase Two
Luminaire Installation and Electrical Connection
5) Switch off mains electrical supply.
6) Check that rating shown on luminaire label con-
forms with mains electrical supply.
7) Terminate cable Efrom luminaire housing Aand
mains supply cable O(for individual wiring) or
branch cable (for through wiring) in sealable junc-
tion box J– to connect cable(s). Follow the seal-
able junction box termination instruction included
in the packaging.
8) Peel-off stickers on Ƃxing thread holes D. Set cables
and sealable junction box Jinside installation
blockout/mounting ring assembly B/M.
9) Remove hood assembly Hby loosening screws N.
10)Loosen countersunk screws C(do not turn out).
Insert mounting lever Lbetween the head of coun-
tersunk screws Cand cover lens. Place luminaire
housing Ainto installation blockout/mounting ring
assembly B/M(Fig. III) while aligning holes Don
mounting ring M.
Warning: When luminaire is placed inside installa-
tion blockout B, ensure there is no stress on seal-
able junction box Jor electric cables (Fig. IV).
11)Tighten countersunk screws C 'hand-tight'.
12)Reposition hood assembly Hand tighten screws N.
