Product Information / Surge Protection
As an option, this luminaire can also be fitted with a surge protector of
Type 2-3 (at the time of order). The technical data can be found directly on the
installed device. If the surge protector has been triggered by an adverse event ,
the luminaire is automatically disconnected from the mains. In that case, the
LED on the surge protector no longer lights up.
For comprehensive protection of the luminaire against lightning and electrical
surges, primary (Type 1) and secondary (Type 2) surge arrestors must be
installed into the power supply. We recommend a combination arrestor
(Type 1+2+3), which is installed in the control cabinet.
The technical planner/installer is responsible for the proper selection, sizing
and installation of the surge protection modules that must be provided on site.
Please note the various protection levels for Class I and II, as well as the
applicable statutory provisions regarding surge protection. Installation and
maintenance may only be performed by a qualified electrician.
Produkthinweis / Überspannungsschutz
Optional kann diese Leuchte (bei der Bestellung) mit einem Überspannungs-
schutz Typ 2-3 ausgestattet werden. Die technischen Daten finden Sie in die-
sem Fall direkt auf dem eingebauten Gerät. Wurde der Überspannungsschutz
im Schadensfall ausgelöst, wird die Leuchte automatisch vom Netz getrennt.
Bei eingeschalteter Stromversorgung leuchtet dann die Leuchtdiode am Über-
spannungsschutz nicht mehr.
Zu einem umfassenden Schutz der Leuchte gegen Blitzeinwirkungen und Über-
spannungen ist es notwendig, zusätzlich einen Grob- (Typ 1) und Mittelschutz-
ableiter (Typ 2) in die Stromversorgung einzubauen. Wir empfehlen einen
Kombiableiter (Typ 1+2+3) für die Montage im Schaltschrank.
Der Fachplaner/Installateur ist für die fachgerechte Auswahl, Dimensionierung
und die Montage der bauseits einzusetzenden Überspannungsschutzbausteine
verantwortlich. Bitte beachten Sie die unterschiedlichen Schutzpegel für die
Schutzklassen I und II sowie die geltenden gesetzlichen Vorschriften zum Über-
spannungsschutz. Die Installation und Wartung ist nur von einem entspre-
chend qualifiziertem Elektro-Fachbetrieb durchzuführen.

Zubehör
Um einen festen Stand der Leuchte zu gewährleisten, sind
die WE-EF Erdstücke ESV4 300-0464 bzw. ESV4 300-0586
zu verwenden.
Installation Accessories
It is recommended to incorporate the optional WE-EF
planted roots ESV4 300-0464 or ESV4 300-0586 to facilitate
a rigid installation.

Installation
The luminaire must be installed and maintained by a suit-
ably qualified person in compliance with latest construc-
tion and electrical regulations and relevant legislation.
Warning: Switch off mains electrical supply prior to
installing and connecting the luminaire. Do not open lumi-
naire while mains supply is switched on.
Notice: If the luminaire is modified by anybody other than
the original manufacturer, then the warranty will no longer
be valid and shall become the full responsibility of the
modifying person/organisation. Claims based on defects
attributable to improper installation and/or application, and
the consequences thereof, are excluded.
In case of component failure due to abnormal circum-
stances or at end of life, replacement must be carried out
by a suitably qualified and trained professional.

Installation Procedure
1) Switch off the mains electrical supply.
2) A suitable recess to be provided for the planted root A.
Ensure that a solid foundation as well as sufficient
mains cable length are provided. Adjust the planted
root Aand fix it on the ground (the post can get adjust-
ed in 90° steps).
3) Replenish soil or fix the earth piece with site concrete
according to requirements.
4) Loosen screws Cand remove cover Bby sliding
upwards. Twist the locking screw Gand open the
door Hof the post and take it off.
Montage
Montage und Wartung darf nur von geschultem Fachper-
sonal mit entsprechender beruflicher Qualifikation in Über-
einstimmung mit den neuesten elektrischen Installations-
und Sicherheitsvorschriften durchgeführt werden.
Achtung! Vor dem Montieren und Anschließen der
Leuchte die Spannungsversorgung abschalten. Leuchte
niemals bei eingeschalteter Spannungsversorgung öffnen.
Hinweis: Modifikationen an der Leuchte, die nicht durch
den Originalhersteller erfolgen, führen zum Erlöschen der
Garantie und Gewährleistung des Originalherstellers und
zum vollständigen Übergang der Verpflichtungen daraus
auf die modifizierende Person/Organisation. Ansprüche auf-
grund von Mängeln, die direkt oder indirekt auf unsachge-
mäße Montage und/oder Anwendung zurückzuführen sind,
sind ausgeschlossen.
Bei Ausfall von Komponenten aufgrund ungewöhnlicher
Umstände oder am Ende der Lebensdauer darf der
Austausch nur von geschultem Fachpersonal mit entspre-
chender beruflicher Qualifikation ausgeführt werden.

Vorgehensweise
1) Spannungsfreiheit der Anschlussleitung herstellen.
2) Das Erdstück Aausrichten und im Boden verankern (das
Standrohr kann in 90° Schritten ausgerichtet werden).
3) Füllen Sie Erdreich an oder befestigen Sie das Erdstück
mit Ortbeton je nach Erfordernis.
4) Die Kaschierung Bdurch Lösen der Schrauben Cnach
oben schieben. Durch Drehen der Verriegelungs-
schraube Gdie Tür Him Standrohr öffnen und aus-
hängen.
Benötigtes Werkzeug
– Schraubendreher mit 3 x 1,0 mm Klinge
– Innensechskantschlüssel 4 mm / 6 mm
Tools required
– Screwdriver with 3 x 1.0 mm blade
– Allan keys 4 mm / 6 mm

5) Die Anschlussleitung durch das Standrohr Dund die
Türöffnung ziehen, Standrohr mit dem Gussfuß Eaus-
richten und mit den Schrauben Fauf dem Erdstück
befestigen. Kaschierung Baufsetzen und festziehen.
6) Die Schraube Lvom Erdkabelübergangskasten lösen
und den Deckel Mabnehmen.
7) Die Anschlussleitung auf die gewünschte Länge kür-
zen. Die Zugentlastung durch Lösen der Schrauben I
abnehmen, die Anschlussleitung durch die Einsätze J
führen und gemäß Anschlussplan an die Anschluss-
klemme Kanschließen.
8) Die Zugentlastung mit den Schrauben Iwieder fest an-
ziehen, Deckel Maufsetzen und die Schraube Lfest
anziehen.
9) Die Tür Hwieder einhängen und durch Drehen der
Verriegelungsschraube Gbefestigen.
Wartung
Außer der Reinigung aller äußeren Oberflächen ist keine
spezielle Wartung notwendig. Bitte keine Dampfstrahler zur
Reinigung benutzen.
5) Insert the connecting cable through the post Dand the
door opening. Adjust post with the cast base Eand fix
it with the screws Fon the planted root. Reposition
cover Band firmly tighten the screws.
6) Loosen screws Lfrom the earth cable connecting box
and take off cover M.
7) Cut connecting cable to the required length. Loosen
screws Iand take off the strain relief. Insert the con-
necting cable through the inserts Jand connect it to
the terminal Kaccording the wiring diagram.
8) Reposition the strain relief and firmly tighten with the
screws I, reposition cover Mand firmly tighten the
screws L.
9) Reposition door Hand tighten the locking screw G.
Maintenance
Apart from cleaning the product's exterior surfaces, no
special maintenance work is required. Do not use high-
pressure cleaners.
