HOW TO PLUG IN YOUR PHONE
- Ensure your phone cable is plugged into the
Internet labelled port at the back of the phone
- Plug the cable into LAN port modem/switch
- Your phone screen will appear as configured
with your name or extension and any other
colleagues’ numbers
- If more than 5 colleagues’ numbers have been
configured for your phone a page indicator 2, 3
will appear at the bottom right of the screen
HOW TO PLACE A CALL
- Enter a number
- Press the Send soft key
HOW TO ANSWER A CALL
- Press the Answer soft key, or
- Lift the handset
HOW TO END A CALL
- Press the End Call soft key, or
-Hang up the handset

*3# – Forwarding Off

- Press the Hold soft key, or

HOW TO BLIND TRANSFER A CALL
Blind Transfer enables you to transfer a call to
another party without announce the call prior to
transferring it
- While on a call press the Transfer soft key
- Enter the transfer destination number
- Tap the Btransfer soft key to complete
the transfer transfer or Transfer if you dial
destination number via Speed Dial keys
HOW TO ACCESS MESSAGES
- Press the Messages button on the handset
- Follow the prompts to access the Voice
Portal to:
-- retrieve Voice Mail messages and
-- record greetings

HOW TO FORWARD A CALL
Setting Forwarding on your desk phone allows
calls to be sent to an alternative number
To enable Forwarding
- Press the Menu softkey
- Use the Navigation arrows to select Features,
press Enter
- Select 1. Call Forward
- Use the Navigation arrows to select: Always,
No Answer or Busy, press Enter on the required
option
- Press the right navigation arrow to select Enable
- Press the down navigation arrow to enter the
number to forward to
- Press the Save soft key to enable
To disable Forwarding
- Press the Menu softkey
- Use the Navigation arrows to select 2. Features
- Select 1. Call Forward
- Use the Navigation arrows to select: Always,
No Answer or Busy, press Enter on the required
option
- Press the right navigation arrow to select Disable
- Select Save
HOW TO CONSULT TRANSFER A CALL
Consult Transfer enables you to transfer a call to
another party and announce the call prior to
transferring it
- While on a call press the Transfer soft key
- Enter the transfer destination number
- When the party answers, announce the call
- Press the Transfer soft key again to complete the
transfer
If the party refuses the call (prior to pressing
Transfer a second time)
- Press the End Call soft key to terminate call with
the 3rd party
- Press the Resume soft key to be returned to the
original caller
HOW TO TRANSFER A CALL TO A
DIRECTORY CONTACT
To transfer a call to an internal Directory contact
- While on a call press the Transfer soft key
- Tap the Directory soft key
- Select 1. Local directory > All Contacts or
2. Remote phone book > Corporate directory
- Select the user you want to transfer to
- Tap the Btransfer soft key to do a Blind transfer,
or
- Select the user, press Send, when the user
answers, announce the call
- Tap the Transfer soft key to complete the
transfer
HOW TO START A CONFERENCE CALL
To create an ad hoc conference call with up to 6
parties (you and up to 5 other parties) can talk on
a call
While on a call
- Press the Conference soft key
- Enter the required number or extension of the
next party
When the call connects
- Press the Conference soft key to connect all
parties
- Repeat the instructions above to add other
parties to your conference call
- Press the End Call soft key to end the conference
(this ends the call for all parties)

HOW TO SET A SPEED DIAL
Numbers that you dial frequently can be added
to a spare line button as a speed dial.
Commonly used codes, such as Call Pick up *5*,
can also be added to a spare line button as a
speed dial
- Hold down an available line button for 2 seconds
- Tap the right navigation arrow to select type as
Speed Dial
- Press the down navigation arrow to get to Label
and enter the Name
- Press the down navigation arrow to get to Value
and enter the number
- Select Save
Press the speed dial button to dial the number
you want, or access the code you have configured
Your Jabra 65 or 75 Evolve headset can be used with the Yealink BT40 bluetooth dongle or the
Jabra Bluetooth dongle. The charging stand for the headsets can be purchased separately.
- Take the headset and Bluetooth dongle out of the box
- Slot the Bluetooth dongle into the USB slot at the back of your Yealink T41/T42/T46/T48S or Cisco
8857 IP phone
- On your phone, Bluetooth is set to ON by default
(to confirm Bluetooth is on, press the following soft keys Menu > Basic > Bluetooth)
- Press the headset button on the front of your phone
When the headset is enabled it will illuminate in green
- When a call arrives on your phone, to answer the call, either press the Answer soft key, or tap the
right ear side of your headset
Note: The Yealink BT40 bluetooth dongle is bought separately and functionality will change should
you use the Jabra Bluetooth dongle
