Safety warnings are shown with these icons:
DANGER: This is an immediately dangerous situation which, if you ignore it,
will cause death or injury.
WARNING: An indication of a possible dangerous situation that can cause death or injury.
It includes situations where the safety guards are removed, thus increasing the risk of
death or injury.
CAUTION: An indication of a possible dangerous situation
that can cause a small injury, damage to the machine or adjacent area.
NOTE: An indication of more information related to the task.

1.2 Safety instructions
YOU are responsible for the SAFE operation and maintenance of your machine.
YOU must make sure that each person who operates or does work on the machine understands all the
SAFETY data in this manual.
YOU are the key to safety. Good safety procedures prevent accidents to you and each person near you.
Make these procedures a set part of your safety sequence.
Make sure that EVERYONE who operates, does maintenance or works near to the machine obeys the
safety precautions.
Follow the safety sequence to prevent the risk of injury or death:
• Owners must complete training with all operators before they operate the machine. This training must
be done a minimum of each year
• The operator must read, understand and obey all safety and operation instructions in the manual
• A person who did not read and understand all safety and operation instructions must not operate the
machine
• Do not change the equipment. Adjustments not approved by the manufacturer can change the function
of the machine and cause damage or personal injury
• Only use approved replacement parts and make sure that only approved technicians do the repair
procedures.
1.2.1 General safety
• Read and understand the manual and all safety decals, before you operate the machine
• Follow all safety regulations, in this manual and instructions or warnings shown on the machine
• Only use the machine for its correct operation
• Only approved persons that understand the operator manual, can operate, drive and do maintenance on
the machine
• Keep persons and objects away from parts that move
• Make sure that the installation of all the safety guards and protection devices is correct and they
operate correctly
• Always use a tractor with a cabin. Make sure that you close the cabin of the tractor during operation to
decrease the quantity of sound. High quantity of sound can cause reduction in hearing
• Always keep a minimum distance of 3 m between the machine and electrical power lines
• Know the height of the machine
• Put on the correct protective clothing and equipment (gloves, safety glasses and ear protectors)
• Look for hazards and signs of defects (leakage and noise)
• Keep the safety decals clean to make sure that you can see them at all times. Replace safety decals
that are missing or you cannot see
• Know the telephone number for emergency medical help in your area
• Speak to your approved local dealer, if you are not sure of one or more items
• Only connect the machine to the tractor using the procedures in this manual. Only connect the machine
to a tractor trailer hitch with your local regulations approval
• Make sure that the front axle weight of the tractor is sucient. Make sure that you do not have more
weight than the maximum permitted on the rear axle
• Do not connect the machine to the tractor when the tractor engine is in operation
• Release the pressure from the hydraulic system before you connect or disconnect the hydraulic hoses.
Refer to the manual of the tractor
• If the machine has a pneumatic or hydraulic brake, connect the brake hose(s) to the tractor
• Make sure that all safety guards and protection devices are in position
• Do not remove a blockage by hand or by foot. Always use an applicable tool.

1.2.2 Safe driving
Read and understand the general safety instructions. Make sure that:
• You always obey your local road trac regulations and the speed limits
• The machine is in the transport position
• All parts that move are locked
• The control panel and the hydraulic system of the tractor are o
• All the lamps on the machine operate correctly and are clean from dirt
• Examine the operation of the brakes before you start to drive. Do not drive with the machine if there is a
problem with the brakes
• Do not make sudden turns when on a slope
• Drive slower when on a down slope
• Do not disengage the clutch of the tractor or change gears on a slope.
1.2.3 Safe driving on hillsides
• Only persons with approval for wrapping on slopes can operate the machine. To stop the machine from
tipping or overturning make sure that you monitor carefully when you work on a slope (for example
mountain areas, hills, ditches).
• Always use an applicable tractor for working on hillsides.
1.2.4 Public road transport safety
Read and understand the general safety instructions before you drive on the road. When you drive on the
road:
• Obey the local road trac laws
• Keep a safe distance from other trac
• Make sure that the lamps operate correctly
• Use warning lamps or other safety signs, if necessary
• If necessary by local law install the rear marking plate for Slow Moving Vehicles (SMV) on to the
machine
• If necessary by local law install the licence plate on the machine
• If necessary by local law, install the safety chains. Connect them to a rigid part of the tractor
• Remove loose objects that can fall o the machine, for example, loose crops, mud or soil
• Make sure that only approved tyre types are in use on the machine. Tyres not approved by the
manufacturer can be dangerous. Examine the transport wheels nuts and tighten them if necessary after
the set working hours or driven distance. Make sure that the tyres have the correct pressure. Do not
inflate the tyres with more than the recommended quantity of air
• Do not operate hydraulic components
• Make sure that the maximum height of the machine is safe when you drive below electrical lines and
structures
• Always keep a minimum distance of 3 m between the machine and electrical power cables
1.2.5 Safe maintenance
Read and understand the general safety instructions then:
• Before you do maintenance or do work on the machine:
- Stop the tractor engine and remove the key
- Stop all the parts that can move
- Put the wheel chocks against one of the wheels
• Do not touch parts that can move
• Obey the maintenance schedule in the manual to prevent problems

• Do not change the machine
• If it is necessary to replace parts, only use parts with manufacturer approval
• Make sure that all covers and guards are in position and locked when you complete maintenance work.
1.2.6 Safe operation
Read and understand the general safety instructions then:
• Before you start to work with the machine do a visual inspection
• Make sure that no changes occurred to the machine and no components are missing
• Make sure that there are no unusual noises or leaks during operation
• Only use the manufacturers instructions when you operate the machine
• Do not get on or into the machine when it is operating
• Make sure that stop the tractor engine and remove the key before you remove crop material from the
machine
• Protective gloves must be in use when you do work on the knife of the film cutter
• Do not go near the loader arm or bale tipper area while the machine is in operation
• Control the machine from the operators seat only. Do not transport other persons on the machine
• When the machine is in operation do not climb on parts of the machine
• On a slope always put bales in a position in which they cannot move down the slope
• Make sure that there are no people or animals in the danger zone during operation . This is important in
or near areas that are open to bystanders
• Keep a minimum distance of 3 m from electrical high-voltage lines
• All persons must stay a minimum of 20 m away from the tractor and machine when it is operating. Use
more precaution when you do work adjacent to bystanders
• Make sure that there are no objects in the field that can cause damage to the machine
• Do not put more than the maximum load on the machine
• Do not operate the machine with defective, removed or opened protective devices.
After operation
• Park the machine on flat, level, and stable ground
• Before you disconnect the machine from the tractor, make sure that:
- The wheel chocks are against the wheels
- The machine is in the correct position on the support foot
- Release the pressure of the hydraulic system before you disconnect the hydraulic hoses. Refer to
the tractor manual.
1.2.7 Fire prevention
• Fire can easily occur with the harvested crop! To prevent fire:
- Remove all crops that stayed on the machine.
• Fire can occur when the parts of the machine get too hot! To prevent this:
- Follow the lubrication instructions
- Make sure that there are no oil leaks
- If a part of the machine gets too hot: find and remove the cause.
• Electricity can cause fire:
- Keep the electrical systems of the tractor and the machine in a good condition
- Do not use the wiring on the machine for devices other than those installed by, or approved by, the
manufacturer
- Too much load on the electrical cables will cause heat.
• Do not smoke near the machine
• Keep the exhaust system of the tractor in a good condition
• Keep a fire extinguisher near to the machine.

Key Decal Description
1Warning: Risk of injury and entanglement
Keep out of the range of all machine parts that turn
during operation.
2Warning: Risk of injury
Keep out of the bale release area. A safe distance is
more than 3 m.
3 Lift point.
Install the jack at this point to lift the machine from the
ground.
4Warning: Risk of impact
Keep out of the area of the wrapper table. A safe
distance is more than 3 m.
5Warning: Risk of electrical shock
Keep a sucient distance (more than 3 m) away from
electrical power lines.
6Caution: Risk of injury
Read the operator manual fully before you first use,
operate or do work on the machine.
7Caution: Risk of injury
Stop the tractor engine and remove the key before you
do work on the machine.
8Important: Damage to the machine
Maximum of 30 RPM for the wrapper table.
9Warning: Risk of fire
Do not smoke near the machine.

Release the pressure from the hydraulic and/or the
pneumatic system before you do maintenance.

14 Warning: Risk of injury
Do not step on the area!
15 Lift eyes
This symbol shows the location of the lift eyes. Do not
use other points to attach and lift the machine.
16 Hydraulic return flow.
17 Warning: Risk of injury
Keep out of the loader arm area. A safe distance is
more than 3 m.
18 Danger: Risk of injury
Make sure that you lock the bale tipper arm.
1.3.1 Examine and replace the safety decals and notices
Install the safety decals.
1. Make sure that the install surface is clean and dry.

2. Make sure that the temperature of the installation surface is not less than 5 °C.
3. Find the correct position for the decal before you remove the protective paper.
4. Remove a small part of the cover paper.
5. Put the decal in the correct position on the install surface and carefully push the small part of the shown
adhesive surface of the decal on to the install surface.
6. Slowly remove the protective paper and attach the decal to the install surface.
7. Make small air holes in the decal with a pin and use the cover paper to make sure that the decal is flat.
Maintenance of Safety Decals
Safety decals show important data and data that you can use that will help you to safely operate and do
maintenance on the machine.
Obey the instructions to make sure that all the decals stay in the correct position and condition:
• Keep the safety decals clean and in good condition at all times. Clean the safety decals with soap and
water. Do not use mineral spirits, abrasive cleaners or other agents that can cause damage to the safety
decals.
• Replace safety decals that are not on the machine or are in bad condition.
• Get replacement safety decals from your approved local dealer.

1.4 Safety devices
1.4.1 Emergency stop button
The emergency stop button is top right on the E-Link basic controller. The emergency stop button
stops hydraulic and electrical power to the machine.
1.4.2 Lock the transport wheel
WARNING: Risk of injury or death
This position must be install for road transport.
Make sure that the pin (2) is in its slot and the clip
(1) is installed to lock the transport wheel in
position. With the transport wheel in this position,
the width of the machine is smaller.

1.4.3 Safety chain (optional)
WARNING: Risk of injury or death
Attach the safety tow chain from the tractor to the machine, to prevent injury or death.
The safety tow chain prevents separation between
the tractor and the machine if the towing devices
break. Install the safety chain through the eye hole
on the draw bar and attach the chain hook to the
tractor. Decrease the length of the chain to keep
the draw bar o the ground, if the tow device
breaks.
The safety chain is a secondary connection for
pulled machines. It prevents separation of the
machine and the tractor if the machine
disconnects during operation. The use of a safety
chain could be necessary by law in your area. You

1.4.4 Film knife cover
A cover is on the machine to hold the knife in
position.

1.4.5 Cover for the chain drive
There is a cover installed on the chain drive that
stops access of personnel and objects to the
components when in operation.

1.4.6 Lock the loader arm in position
WARNING: Risk of death or injury.
For road transport you must lock the loader arm.
Make sure that the clip (1) is in the pin (2) to lock
the pin and the arm in position.

1.4.7 Wheel chocks
When the machine is not in use or not connected
to the tractor, the wheel chocks must be in
position to stop the machine from sudden
movement.

1.4.8 Transport lock for bale end tipper
The bale tipper has to be in its up position for
transport. When you transport the machine, install
the bracket with pins and clips in there slots. This
lock device stops the bale end tipper from sudden
movement and decreases the length of the
machine for transport on the road.

1.4.9 Bale end tipper
The bale end-tipper sets the bale on its end during
the bale unload. This makes sure that the bale
cannot move on a slope and decreases the
damage to the wrapped bale because the ends
have more film applied.
NOTE: Stop the tractor when you release the bale
on to the bale end tipper.
