NOTE : To ensure proper operation, and to prevent damage, the kit must be installed and operated only as
specified.

1. Detach the front cowling from the front of the pump by removing three M8x20mm flange bolts
using a 6mm T handled hex key.
2. Detach the fan cable from the front cowling and remove the cowling from the pump.
3. Disassemble the rear cowling by remove the six self-tapping screws and two washers that hold the
rear cowling to the chassis and front cowling using a Philips head screwdriver.

4. Remove the Rear Cowling from the pump assembly.
5. Loosen the three M6x20mm that secure the top part of the base to the Pump Head.
6. Loosen and remove the two M6x16 mm bolts on the bottom of the base to the pump module
using a 5mm hex key. Move the base assembly up enough to facilitate removal of the Rubber
Thermal Protector.

7. Remove the thermal rubber protector from the inlet assembly and discard.
8. Loosen the four M4x10mm screws holding the inlet flange on to the frame. Remove the inlet
flange from the top of the frame assembly. Remove the VPI spring and diaphragm/piston from
the frame assembly. Discard the piston assembly.
9. Remove the O-ring from the assembly and discard. Remove the 10-32 threaded orifice and
discard.

10. Install a new 10-32 threaded orifice. Apply LVP grease to a new O-ring and install it into the O-
ring groove.
11. Install a new O-ring from the kit into the diaphragm/piston assembly. Install the new
diaphragm/piston assembly from the kit into the frame. Install the spring onto the
diaphragm/piston assembly.
12. Install the Inlet Flange into the frame assembly and secure with four M4x10 mm screws. Torque
to 1.6 N.m if a torque wrench is available.

13. Install a new Thermal Rubber Protector onto the inlet assembly.
14. Reseat the base assembly. Verify that all connections are in place and that there are no pinched
wires. Tighten the five screws that hold the base assembly in place.
15. Reinstall the rear cowling on to the pump assembly.

16. Install the six self-tapping screws and two washers that hold the rear cowling to the chassis and
front cowling.
17. Attach the fan cable from the front cowling to the motor.
18. Attach the front cowling to the pump using three M8x20mm flange bolts. Tighten with 6mm Hex
Key. Torque screws to 11.3 Nm if a torque wrench is available.

19. Power the pump up to insure it is functioning correctly.

2) Afterevaluating theinformation, Agilent Technologies willprovide you with a Return Authorization (RA) number via email orfax, as
requested.
Note: Depending onthe type ofreturn, a Purchase Order maybe requiredatthe time the Request for Return issubmitted. We willquote
anynecessaryservices(evaluation,repair,specialcleaning,eg).
3) Importantsteps for the shipment ofreturning product:
x Remove all accessories from the core product (e.g. inlet screens, vent valves).
x Prior to shipment, drain any oils or other liquids, purge or flush all gasses, and wipe off any excess residue.
x Ifordering anAdvance Exchange product,please use the packaging from the Advance Exchange to return thedefective
product.
x Seal the product in a plastic bag, and package product carefully to avoid damage in transit. You are responsible for loss damage
in transit.
x Agilent Technologies is not responsible for returning customer provided packaging or containers.
x Clearlylabel package withRA number.Using the shipping label provided will ensure the proper address andRA number
areonthepackage. PackagesshippedtoAgilentwithoutaRAclearlywrittenontheoutsidecannotbeacceptedandwill bereturned.
4) Return onlyproducts for which the RAwasissued.
5) ProductbeingreturnedunderaRA mustbereceived within15businessdays.
6) Ship to the location specified on the printablelabel,which will be sent,along with theRA number,as soon as we have
received allofthe required information. Customer isresponsible for freightchargesonreturningproduct.
7) ReturnshipmentsmustcomplywithallapplicableShippingRegulations(IATA,DOT,etc.)andcarrierrequirements.
