to use your AKASO V50 Elite. However, please spend time reading this manual before
using it. You need to get to know all the features now so as to get the most out of it.
CAUTIONS!
1. This is a high-precision product. Do not drop.
2. Do not expose the item to strong magnetic fields, such as electric motors,
magnets and machinery rife with strong radio waves.
3. Never leave the item in high-temperature areas. Electronics and optics can be
damaged under prolonged exposure to heat.
4. While this model is waterproof and doesn't require an additional housing, it's
important to ensure that all seals are intact and doors are properly closed
before submerging the camera in water.
5. Avoid extended periods of battery charging. Keep it away from children and
pets while charging to avoid accidents.

Getting Started
Welcome to your AKASO V50 Elite. To capture video and photos, you need a memory
card (sold separately).
Memory Cards
Use brand name memory cards that meet these requirements:
• microSD, microSDHC, or microSDXC
• U3
• Capacity up to 64GB (FAT32)
Note:
1. Please format the memory card first in this camera before using. To keep your
memory card in good condition, reformat it on a regular basis. Reformatting
erases all of your content, so be sure to offload your photos and videos first.
2. FAT32 format memory card stops recording when the file size reaches to 4GB,
and starts to record again on a new file.
Powering on/off
To Power on:
While the camera is off, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn it
on. You'll hear a beep and see the status light come on. Once information appears
on the display screen, you'll know that your camera is powered on.
To Power off:
While the camera is on, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn it
off. You will hear a beep and see the status light turn off.
Switching Modes
To Switch Mode:
On the preview screen, press the Power button to switch modes.
Note: You can switch between Video and Photo Mode only. To choose any of the
other mode options, tap the current mode icon to enter the mode menu.

To Exit Mode:
Press the Mode button to exit mode.
Turning on/off Wifi
To turn on Wifi:
On the preview screen, press and hold the Wifi button to turn on Wifi. You can
also tap the Wifi icon in the mode menu to turn on Wifi. The Wifi indicator will be
flashing when Wifi is activated and stay on when Wifi connection is established.
To turn off Wifi:
Press and hold the Wifi button to turn off Wifi.

There are 6 modes of this camera: Video, Time Lapse Video, Slow Motion, Photo,
Time Lapse Photo, and Wifi.
To access these modes, first turn on the camera. Then, tap the mode at the
bottom of the camera screen to enter the mode menu and select the mode you
want. The camera will automatically switch to the selected mode.

Video Mode is the default mode when
the camera is turned on.
When the camera is in Video mode,
press the Shutter button to start or
stop recording videos. The indicator

Slow Motion Mode
The camera is capable of recording
videos at specific resolutions and
zoom levels. For instance, if you select
the option 2.7K 2X to shoot a video
that lasts for a minute, the camera will
generate a 2-minute slow-motion
video at 2.7K resolution. This mode is
ideal for capturing fast-moving scenes
with greater clarity.

Video Settings
1. Video Resolution
4K 60fps, 4K 30fps, 2.7K 60fps, 2.7K 30fps, 1080P 120fps, 1080P 60fps, 1080P 30fps,
720P 240fps, 720P 120fps, 720P 60fps (Default setting is 4K 60fps)
This camera is capable of recording video up to 4K60fps, with higher resolution
offering greater clarity and detail due to the increased number of pixels. However,
higher resolution video also results in larger file sizes.
Note: Capturing high-resolution or high-fps videos in low-temperature scenes can
consume more power.
2. Image Stabilization
On/Off (Default setting is Off)
Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS2.0) can efficiently smooth out the lens shakes,
resulting in smooth and clear videos. This feature is ideal for use in capturing
scenes involving activities like riding, skating, and handheld use.
Note: Image Stabilization will be disabled when you set "Resolution " to
1080P120fps, 720P240fps, and 720P120fps. For more details, please consult
related information on page 17of this manual.
3. Loop Recording
Unlimited/2 Min/3 Min/5 Min (Default setting is Unlimited)
This option allows you to set the length of videos captured in Loop Recording mode.
For instance, if you set Loop Recording to "3Min", the camera will save videos every 3
minutes. When the memory is full, new video files will overwrite the old ones to
ensure continuous recording.
Note: Loop Recording will be disabled when Slow Motion Movie and Fast Motion
Movie, and Timelapse Video Mode are enabled.

4. Time Lapse Interval
Off/1S /3S /5S /10S /30S /1 Min (Default setting is Off)
This option enables you to specify the frequency at which the video frames are
captured and compiled. The camera will capture series of videos at the set
interval, making it ideal for taking photos in dynamic or changing scenes, such as
clouds, stars, sunsets, and more.
Note: Time lapse video is recorded without audio. Time Lapse Interval works in
Timelapse Video mode only.
5. Time Lapse Duration
Unlimited/5 Min/10 Min/15 Min/20 Min/30 Min/60 Min (Default setting is Unlimited)
This option enables you to specify the frequency at which the video frames are
captured and compiled. The camera will automatically stop recording after the set
duration.
Note: Time Lapse Duration is available only in Timelapse Video mode.
6. Slow Motion Movie
On/Off (Default setting is Off)
You can choose the resolution and zoom level before you create slow motion
movies. When Slow Motion is enabled, the camera can record video at a higher
frame rate and then plays it back at a lower speed, typically 30 frames per second.
Note: Slow Motion Movie will be disabled when the camera is in Timelapse Video
mode, or when Image Stabilization, and Loop Recording are enabled, or when you
capture 4K30fps, 2.7K30fps, and 1080P30fps videos.
7. Fast Motion Movie
Off/2x/4x/6x/10x/15x (Default setting is Off)
You can choose the resolution and zoom level before recording fast motion videos.
In Fast Motion mode, the camera will take a series of photos or video frames at the
set interval and then compile them into a single video clip.
Note: Fast Motion Movie will be disabled when the camera is in Timelapse Video
mode, or when Image Stabilization, Drive Mode, and Loop Recording are enabled.
8. Wind Noise Reduction
On/Off (Default setting is Off)

When Wind Noise Reduction is enabled, the noise will be lowered to an acceptable
level, allowing for better video quality.
9. Microphone
Internal/External (Default setting is Internal)
You have the option to select either a built-in microphone or an external one. To
use an external microphone for better sound quality, select the “External” option
first. Then, connect a compatible external microphone to the camera’s USB port.
10. Angle
Wide/Medium/Narrow (Default setting is Wide)
The angle refers to how much of the scene can be captured through the camera
lens. Wide angle captures the largest amount of the scene, while Narrow angle
captures the least.
11. Sound Record
On/Off (Default setting is On)
Turn on Sound Record, the camera will record audio during video recording.
12. Auto Low Light
On/Off (Default setting is Off)
Auto Low Light mode will automatically adjust settings according to lighting
conditions to achieve the best low light performance. Even if you move back and
forth between bright and dark environments, you do not need to manually adjust
the camera settings.
Note: Auto Low Light will be disabled when you enable Image Stabilization.
13. Drive Mode
On/Off (Default setting is Off)
In this mode, the camera will automatically record video and save the video file
when you connect it to the cigarette lighter, and start your car engine.
Note: Drive Mode will be disabled when the camera is in Timelapse Video mode,
or when Fast Motion Movie is enabled.

Photo Settings
1. Photo Resolution
20MP/16MP/12MP/10MP/8MP/5MP (Default setting is 20MP)
This camera is capable of capturing 20MP photos, with higher resolution offering
greater clarity and detail due to the increased number of pixels. However, higher
resolution photo also results in larger file sizes.
2. Angle
Wide/Medium/Narrow (Default setting is Wide)
The angle refers to how much of the scene can be captured through the camera
lens. Wide angle captures the largest amount of the scene, while Narrow angle
captures the least.
3. ISO
Auto/100/200/400/800/1600/3200 (Default setting is Auto)
ISO determines the camera’s sensitivity to light and creates a trade-off between
brightness and resulting image noise. Image noise refers to the degree of
graininess in the image. In low light, higher ISO values result in brighter images,
but with greater image noise. Lower values result in lower image noise, but darker
images.
4. Time Lapse Interval
Unlimited/3S/5S/10S/30S/1 Min (Default setting is Unlimited)
This option allows you to specify the frequency at which photos are captured and
compiled in Time Lapse Photo mode. The camera will then take a series of photos
at the set interval.
Note: Time Lapse Interval works in Timelapse Photo mode only.
5. Time Lapse Duration
This option lets you specify the frequency at which the photo frames are captured
and compiled. The camera will automatically stop capturing after the set duration.
Note: Time Lapse Duration is available only in Timelapse Photo mode.

Night Lapse is made to capture time lapse videos in dark and low-light
environments. It automatically adjusts the shutter speed to let in more light and
picks the interval that will give you the best result.
Note: Night Lapse is available only in Time Lapse Photo mode.
7. Burst Photo
Off/3 shots/7 shots/15 shots/30 shots (Default setting is Off)
This option sets the number of photos to be taken in Burst Photo mode. It's
perfect for capturing fast-moving activities. You can choose to set it to Off.
Note: Burst Photo will be disabled when Long Exposure is turned on.
8. Delay Timer
Off/Delay 3s/Delay 5s/Delay 10s/Delay 20s (Default setting is Off)
This option lets you specify the duration of the countdown before the camera
takes a photo. The camera will initiate the timer upon pressing the shutter release
button and capture a photo automatically once the countdown concludes.
Note: Delay Timer will be disabled when Long Exposure or when Lapse Photo
Mode are enabled.
9. Long Exposure
Off/1S/ 2S/ 5S/ 8S/ 30S/ 1 Min (Default setting is Off)
Long exposures are easiest to accomplish in low-light conditions, but can be done
in brighter light using neutral density filters or specially designed cameras.
Note: Long Exposure will be disabled when Burst Photo and Delay Timer are
enabled. It will also be disabled when the camera is in Time Lapse Photo mode.
10. DNG
On/Off (Default setting is Off)
DNG meansDigital Negative. A DNG file stores uncompressed image data on your
camera. A DNG file created with this camera does not need to be edited in
PhotoShop.
Note: DNG will be disabled when Date Stamp is enabled.

Camera Settings
1. Sounds
Shutter: On/Off (Default setting is on)
Boot-up: On/Off (Default setting is on)
Beep: On/Off (Default setting is on)
Volume: 0/1/2/3 (Default setting is 2)
You can turn on the shutter, boot-up, beep sounds on or off.
2. Distortion Calibration
On/Off (Default setting is Off)
Distortion Calibration corrects the fisheye effect that can occur in wide-angle
captures, providing images without distortion.
Note: Distortion Calibration is disabled when Image Stabilization is turned on.
3. Special Effect
None/Black&White/Sepia/Vivid/Natural/Negative/Warm/Cold/Red/Green/Blue
(Default setting is None)
Note: You can't configure the settings of Special Effect when Diving Mode is
enabled or White Balance was not set to "Auto".
4. Diving Mode
On/Off (Default setting is Off)
When Diving Mode is enabled, the camera can compensate for the absence of red
light in underwater scenes. This mode is ideal for use in tropical and blue waters.
Note: Diving Mode will be disabled when you configure the settings of Special
Effect and White Balance.
5. Date Stamp
Off/Date/Date&Time (Default setting is Off)
The camera will add a watermark to your videos or photos per your setting.
Note: Date Stamp is disabled when Image Stabilization and DNG are turned on.

You can set your camera’s date and time manually or sync it with your
phonethrough the AKASO GO app.
7. Screen Saver
Off/ 30S/ 1 Min/ 2 Min (Default setting is 1 Min)
You can determine when the camera’s display should go dormant to conserve
battery. If you need the screen back on, just tap it or press any button.
8. Auto Power Off
Off/1 Min./2 Min. (Default setting is 2 Min)
You can set the duration of inactivity after which the camera automatically powers
off. If not operated within the chosen duration, the camera will shut down.
9. Power-on Auto Record
On/Off (Default setting is Off)
When Power-on Auto Record is enabled, the camera will record videos
automatically after you turn on the V50 Elite action camera.
10. Power Frequency
50Hz/60Hz (Default setting is 50Hz)
11. White Balance
Auto/Daylight/Cloudy/Tungsten Light/White Fluorescent (Default setting is Auto)
White Balance fine-tunes the color temperature of your videos and photos,
ensuring optimal color accuracy in both warm and cool lighting conditions.
Note: You can't configure the settings of White Balance when Diving Mode is
enabled or when Special Effect was not set to "None".
12. Language
English, 日本語 , Deutsch, Italiano, Español, Français, 简体中文 , 繁體中文 (Default
setting is English)
You can choose the system language for your V50 Elite action camera.

videos first. To reformat your card, please enter the system settings screen, then
scoll down to find the "Format Card" option, and then tap on it to complete the
formatting process.

Card Info: Capacity/Free Space
In the System option, you can check the model, version and updated time of your
V50 Elite. The card Info option allows you to check the capacity and free space of
your memory card.
Warm Tip: Some functions cannot be used at the same time. Please refer to the
information below.

This camera allows you to capture photos and videos with a single voice command
in any of the 8 supported languages. To control the camera with your voice, you
need to enable the voice control feature on the remote. To take advantage of the
voice control feature, make sure to keep the remote's microphone within 10
centimeters of your mouth and speak clearly in a quiet environment. This will help
ensure optimal results. Please follow the instructions below to use the voice
control feature.
1. Make sure the camera is connected to the remote first. To do this, turn on the
camera, and activate the remote by pressing any of its buttons. The camera will
be automatically connected to the remote.
2. Press the voice control button on the remote to turn on the voice control
feature. The blue indicator light will remain lit when the remote is in Voice
Control mode.
3. Issue voice commands (see list below) to the remote's microphone. The blue
indicator light will flash after the voice command was issued.
4. To turn off the voice control feature, simply press the Voice Control button. The
blue indicator light will black out.
Tips:
1. Voice Control performance might vary with distance, environmental noise, and
wind. Ensure the camera is kept clean and clear of debris.
2. Stop video recording before giving a new command.
3. The remote will remain active while in Voice Control mode. You can still press
any of the remote's buttons.
4. The voice control feature will be disabled when the camera powers off.
5. If the voice control feature is disabled, the remote will automatically deactivate
after 3 minutes of inactivity with no voice commands issued.
