1Anderson limited warranty
The one-year warranty period begins on the date that the new equipment is sold to
the customer. If your equipment is used for commercial or rental purposes, this
warranty will only be valid for a period of 1 year or a maximum of 5000 bales for
trailers, individual bale wrappers, and inline wrappers.
If during the year following the purchase of a new machine, your Anderson
equipment fails to function properly due to defective design, materials,
manufacturing, or assembly, our company will repair your equipment free of charge.
Keep your original invoice or a photocopy. Please refer to your invoice whenever you
order parts, have questions about the operating procedures of your machine, or for
any questions you may have concerning your warranty.
Replacement or repair of equipment parts must be performed by an authorized
Anderson dealer. This includes parts and labour only. All work must be
preauthorized by the Anderson customer service department.
The customer will be responsible for transporting the equipment to / from the
authorized dealer.
The dealer will describe the terms of this warranty to the customer before the retail
sale and will record the date of purchase, the serial number, and the equipment
description.
To have equipment repaired under the warranty; the customer must advise his dealer
as soon as possible of the problem and request that the repairs be made according to
the terms of the applicable warranty.
Understanding that it is our desire to always improve on our products, our company
reserves the right to modify its machines, their characteristics, and their parts at any
time without advance notice or obligation.
In no event will Anderson be liable for any incidental or consequential damages or
injuries, including but not limited to loss of profits, rental of substitute equipment, or
other commercial or personal loss or damages arising as a result of a fundamental
breach or breach of a fundamental term.

Warranty Policies, Procedures, & Provisions Summary
Purpose of Warranty:
The fundamental responsibility of warranty is to correct defects in material and workmanship of
the products sold by Group Anderson Inc. (hereafter called ‘’Anderson’’). This outline is
intended to assist you in awareness of Anderson’s Warranty Policies and to assure that you
obtain the best service possible for your Anderson machine.
Warranty is limited to 1-year (12months). This specified period begins on the date
the new equipment is sold to the customer.
Warranty is non-transferable in the event of resale unless the resale is through an
authorized Anderson dealer.
Warranty Exemptions:
Your warranty may be voided if Anderson determines that the equipment has been
subjected to bad treatment or negligence, has been used inappropriately, has not
received necessary maintenance, not been appropriately protected during storage,
damaged by vandalism, bad weather, natural elements, collision, or an accident.
The warranty is void if your equipment has been modified in any way without
Anderson express authorization.
The warranty does not cover towing expenses or service calls.
No warranty is extended to regular service items such as fluids, paint, tires.
Certain parts, such as the Honda engine and battery are covered under warranties
from their respective manufacturers. Details on these warranties can be obtained
from your dealer.
Warranty does not cover damage caused by harsh weather conditions or unstable
ground conditions. Such as frozen parts on the equipment or performance issues on
inadequate terrain.
No warranty is issued for performance issues. Including downtime and capacity
issues.
No Dealer Warranty:
Except for conditions or warranties which may not be excluded by law, the selling
dealer makes no warranty of its own on any item warranted by Anderson Group
unless it delivers to the purchaser a separate written warranty document specifically
warranting the item. The selling dealer has no authority to make any representation
or promise on behalf of Anderson or to modify the terms or limitations of this
warranty in any way.

Anderson’s Responsibilities:
In the event that parts must be shipped from Anderson, freight will be paid by
Anderson and will be shipped by the most economical means to arrive in the shortest
possible time. Air, Next Day Air, Priority and other special shipment methods
requested by the Dealer will be at the Customer’s expense.

2Safety
Your ANDERSON self-loading trailer was designed to reduce to a minimum the risks to the
operator. However, it must be used only for the work it was designed for. Additionally, since it
includes a powerful hydraulic system and moving metal parts and all these elements can cause
serious injury to humans or animals, it is strongly recommended to read and to closely adhere
to the following guidelines.
Safe Operators
Be familiar with operating procedures before using your TRB trailer. Also insist that these
directions be followed by all who use your self-loading trailer. Make sure that your operators
know the emergency telephone numbers and the location of your first aid kit. Only allow the
bale wrapper to be used by responsible people who have been fully trained in its safe
operation.
Danger Zone
Do not allow yourself to be disturbed during the operation of the machine. As an operator, you
must be the only person to move about the machine within a security zone of 10 meters (33
feet) diameter. During unloading, make sure that you are on stable, level ground. Do not
unload when the trailer is not level, as this could cause the trailer to overturn. Keep all other
people, especially children, away from the site, as well as domestic animals.
Secure Attachment to the Tractor
The machine must be properly attached to the fixed drawbar of the tractor so that the trailer
bed is completely horizontal. It is important to make sure that the hydraulic lift system is not in
the way of the hitch of the self-loading trailer.
Dangerous Situations
Pay attention to the stickers and the warning labels that appear on your machine. Know how to
make an emergency stop. Before starting the tractor, make sure that all controls are in neutral
position. It is always dangerous to stand on the machine. Keep fingers, hands, and feet away
from moving parts: chains, gears, etc. Remember that all parts are potentially dangerous.
Prevention
The clothes that you wear as an operator must be safe. If you work in the evening or at night,
make sure that you have sufficient lighting to work safely. Have a working fire extinguisher
within arm’s reach. Keep the protective shields and other security devices in place and never
use your trailer if they have been removed or damaged.
Safe Maintenance and Repair
Stop the tractor and remove the switch key from the tractor before performing maintenance,
adjustments, or repairs. Release the oil pressure before moving beneath certain hydraulically
lifted parts. Install the safety stands on the lift cylinders of the platform before working
underneath the platform.
Replace all defective or worn out parts. We recommend you use original or approved parts in
order to protect your warranty and to obtain optimal performance from your machine.

Hydraulic Oil
Any leak of pressurized oil can cause serious injuries. Do not use your hands to locate a leak,
but rather an object such as a piece of cardboard. Stop the tractor and release the pressure
before disconnecting or reconnecting the lines.
WARNING
Any hydraulic fluid that makes contact on or underneath the skin must be
removed within hours by a doctor familiar with this type of injury.
Without intervention, serious problems, including gangrene, may result.
Risk of Electrocution
Never unload the trailer near or underneath an electrical transmission line. Remember that the
platform in unloading position is high enough to touch electrical wires.
Traveling Safely on Public Roads
If you travel on public roads, you are responsible for respecting the identification and lighting
regulations of your region. We recommend that you always attach two security chains to the
hitch point between the machine and your tractor and that you lock the coupling link with a
pin.
The standard tires of the trailer generally do not meet regulatory standards for long-distance
travel on public roads. Optional road tires can be installed on the TRB trailer.
It is important to put the pin (1) on the the loading arm (2) in raised position to prevent it from
moving during transportation (see Figure 2.1). Place the pins in the holes.

Whenever you move your machine, do not forget to raise the mechanical jack in order to
prevent breakage.

Standard Components
Your TRB trailer was designed to be used with a medium to high-power tractor. It works with
the tractor’s hydraulic system. Note that the recommended oil flow is 10 GPM (45 L/min). The
TRB trailer can load round hay bales up to 1.8 m (6 ft) in diameter. The trailer is mounted on 4
tandem axles which allow for 0.4 m (15 in.) of ground clearance and uniform, minimal ground
pressure. The loading capacity is 14,000 kg (30,000 lbs).

4Adjustment Procedures
Installing the trailer on the tractor
When you first use the TRB trailer with a tractor, it is important to make sure that the trailer is
completely level. The height of the ring hitch is adjustable so that the trailer can adapt to
different types of tractors. To adjust the height of the hitch, you must remove the ten bolts that
hold the flange in place. Replace the bolts when the hitch is at the right height.
The recommended oil flow for effective operation of the TBR trailer is 45 L/min (10 GPM).
Adjusting the loading arm
Figure 4.1 shows the optimal placement of the forks on the loading arm according to the
diameter of the bales to be transported.

The loading arm can be adjusted according to the length of the bales to be transported. To pick
up bales 1.2 m (4 ft) in length, you need to install the square tube between the forks (see
Figure 4.2). This tube is not needed to transport bales 1.5 m (5 ft) in length. In this case, the
tube is stored on the frame.

The loading arm is equipped with a security device that blocks the use of the pusher and the
lifting of the unloading platform when it is in raised position. To perform the actions of bale
pushing and unloading, the arm must be around the middle of its range. This device is located
at the pivot point of the loading arm and serves to avoid collisions between the arm and the
other parts of the TRB trailer.
Adjusting the Bale Guides
The bale guides hold the bales in place during transportation and loading. They must be
adjusted according to the diameter of the bales being transported. The following illustration
shows the optimal adjustment of the bale guides.

Pusher Adjustment
The pusher of the TRB trailer is equipped with a limit stop that makes it possible to transport
bales 1.2 m (4 ft) or 1.5 m (5 ft) in length (see Figure 4.4). Image #1 shows the position of the
limit stop when transporting bales 1.2 m (4 ft) in length and image #2 shows the position of
the limit stop when transporting bales 1.5 m (5 ft) in length. To dismantle the limit stop, you
must remove the pin located beneath the limit stop.

Do not forget that the pusher will not work when the loading arm is in raised position.

Start-Up
Here are the steps to start using your TRB trailer.
1. Attach the trailer to the tractor.
2. Lift up the jack
3. Connect the 6 hydraulic hoses to the tractor (or the 4 hydraulic hoses and the
selection valve to the tractor’s 12 V current).
Note that the utmost cleanliness is recommended whenever you connect these
parts to avoid oil contamination problems.
4. Check that the hoses are properly placed between the tractor and the trailer so that
they won’t twist, get stuck, or wear out prematurely during operation.
5. Check the adjustments of the trailer based on the dimensions of the bales to be
transported.
6. Remove the U-shaped retainer from the cylinder of the loading arm (see 8Figure 2.1).
7. Pull the hydraulic controls one by one to make sure that each hose is connected to
the right place.
8. Raise the loading arm.
The trailer is ready to load and transport bales.
Loading Bales
The TRB trailer can rotate the bales in order to load them. You can use the inner or outer fork
to turn the bale before threading it onto the two forks. This action is performed without
needing to immobilize the tractor. Figure 5.1 illustrates the position of a bale in the forks of the
loading arm.
Using the outer fork to position the bales allows the operator to move bales farther with the
tractor. With the inner fork, the operator better sees the movement of the fork.

When the loading arm is resting on the aligned bale, raise the loading arm. The first bale will
be automatically placed on the side of the trailer platform opposite the loading arm.

When you load the second bale, it will be placed on the platform on the same side as the
loading arm.
To load the bale on the second row, extend the loading arm when it is raised to the middle of
his stroke. Then complete the loading of the bale on top of the first row.
To operate the pusher, lower the loading arm to around the middle of its trajectory. The pusher
moves the bale toward the back of the trailer. Once the pusher has reached the end of its
trajectory, bring it back to its initial position.
Load other bales before operating the pusher again and then repeat the procedure to complete
de load.
For safe transportation between the field and storage site, loading must be done as there are
only two bales in the back of the trailer. (Figure 5.3)

When the first bales loaded reach the far end of the trailer, the full load indicator warns that
there remains space for only 2 more bales to be loaded onto the trailer. Do not operate the
pusher when the white indicator is visible. Figure 5.4 shows the full load indicator.

Unloading the Trailer
To unload the TRB trailer, it is very important to choose level ground and to make sure that
there are no obstacles, such as an electrical transmission line.
Bring the trailer to a stop at the place where you want to unload the bales. Pull the control to
raise the platform. Remember that the loading arm must be around the middle of its range for
you to be able to raise the unloading platform. When the platform has been raised to its
maximum position, move forward slowly so that the bales will unload themselves onto the
ground
When all the bales have been unloaded, bring the platform back to horizontal position. The
trailer is ready to load more bales in the fields.
