1ANDERSON Limited Warranty
One-Year Limited Warranty
In the year following the purchase of a new machine, if your ANDERSON equipment fails to
operate properly due to defective materials, manufacturing, or assembly, our company will
furnish replacement parts and repair your machine free of charge.
Documents
Keep your original invoice or a photocopy. Please refer to your invoice or to the information on
the preceding page whenever you order parts, for any questions about the operating
procedures of your machine or for any questions you might have concerning your warranty.
Problem Resolution
Your satisfaction is a priority for your dealer and for us. Normally, all problems concerning our
products are taken care of by the dealer’s service department. Please follow the following steps
if you are not satisfied after consulting your dealer:
-First, let it be understood that our warranty is void if your equipment has been modified
without our express authorization. Let it also be understood that we alone will determine the
cause of the problem or how the machine was broken. Please note that all repairs must be
authorized before any work is performed to ensure that your machine remains covered by
the warranty.
-If your problem has already been dealt with by your dealer’s service department but you are
not completely satisfied, please contact one of the managers of the dealership that sold you
the Anderson machine. In most cases, your problem can be solved at this level.
-If your problem still has not been resolved to your satisfaction after this step, please contact
us directly.
When you contact us, always provide us with the following information:
-Your name, address, and telephone number;
-Product model and serial number;
-Purchase date and invoice number;
-Dealer name, address, and telephone number and salesperson name;
-Precise and detailed description of your problem.
-After reviewing all aspects of the problem, we will rapidly communicate our decision to you
and, if applicable, the steps taken to resolve the situation. It is nonetheless likely that your
problem will be solved by your dealer using his team and specialized equipment. We
therefore strongly suggest that if you need any kind of help, your first contact should be
made directly with your dealer.
Modifications
Given that our desire is to always improve our products, our company reserves the right to
modify its machines, their characteristics, and their parts at any time without advance notice or
obligation.

ANDERSON GROUP
LIMITED WARRANTY
The one-year warranty period will begin on the date the new equipment is sold to
the customer. However, if your equipment is used for commercial or rental
purposes, this warranty will only be valid for a period of 90 days beginning on the
date of purchase.
1. During the year following the purchase of a new machine, if your ANDERSON equipment
fails to function properly due to defective design, materials, manufacturing, or assembly,
our company will repair your equipment free of charge.
2. Replacement or repair of equipment parts will be performed by the dealer or by our
technician. This includes parts and labor only if preauthorized by our customer
service department.
3. However, the customer will be responsible for transporting the equipment to/from the
authorized dealer’s head office.
4. The dealer will describe the terms of this warranty to the customer before the retail sale
and will record the date of purchase, the serial number, and the equipment description.
The dealer will fax the duly completed warranty form in the 15 days following the
transaction to the following number: 1-819-382-2218 to validate the warranty.
5. To have equipment repaired under the warranty, the customer must advise his dealer as
soon as possible of the problem and request that the repairs be made according to the
terms of the applicable warranty.
6. For all repair requests made to an Anderson dealer, you must furnish the date of
sale, the serial number, the type of equipment and options, and the owner’s
contact information.
7. Anderson Group reserves the rights to modify the warranty policy at any time
without advance notice.
8. Notwithstanding the foregoing.

Warranty Exemptions
1. Certain parts, such as the tires, the battery, and the Honda engine, are covered under
warranties from their respective manufacturers. Please contact the appropriate
manufacturer.
2. If the equipment has been subjected to bad treatment or negligence, has been used
inappropriately, has not received necessary maintenance, has not been appropriately
protected during storage, has been damaged by vandalism, bad weather, natural
elements, collision, or accident.
3. Let it be understood that our warranty is void if your equipment has been modified
without our express authorization.
4. This warranty does not cover normal maintenance services (such as adjustments, oil
changes, normal wear and tear, etc.)
5. The customer will be responsible for service calls and/or transporting the equipment
to/from the authorized dealer’s head office. The warranty does not cover towing
expenses.
6. If parts or accessories other than those manufactured or sold by Anderson Group
have been used with the authorization of the customer service department, and if we
decide that their use negatively impacts the performance, stability, or reliability of the
equipment.
Exclusive Remedy
To the extent permitted by law, the purchaser’s exclusive remedy in connection with the breach
or performance of any warranty on the equipment is those set forth in this warranty.
In no event will Anderson Group be liable for any incidental or consequential
damages or injuries, including but not limited to loss of profits, rental of substitute
equipment, or other commercial or personal loss or damages arising as a result of a
fundamental breach or breach of a fundamental term.
No Dealer Warranty
Except for conditions or warranties which may not be excluded by law, the selling dealer makes
no warranty of its own on any item warranted by Anderson Group unless it delivers to the
purchaser a separate written warranty document specifically warranting the item. The selling
dealer has no authority to make any representation or promise on behalf of
Anderson Group or to modify the terms or limitations of this warranty in any way.
Right of Modification
Given that our desire is to always improve our products, our company reserves the right to

2Safety
Your ANDERSON loader was designed to reduce to a minimum the risks to the operator.
However, it must be used only for the work it was designed for. Additionally, since it includes a
powerful hydraulic system, moving metal parts, and an optional gasoline engine and all these
elements can cause serious injury to humans or animals, it is strongly recommended to read
and to closely adhere to the following guidelines.
Safe Operators
Be familiar with operating procedures. Before starting the engine of your unit or your tractor,
ensure that all the controls are in neutral position. Know how to perform an emergency stop
and quickly disengage the controls. Wear a safety helmet and safety glasses, as well as
adequate hearing protection to reduce the danger of hearing loss due to continued exposure to
the noise of the log loader. If you work in the evening or at night, make sure that you have
sufficient lighting to work safely.
Danger Zone
Keeping in mind the range of the boom and the length of the logs, visualize a danger zone 33
feet (10 meters) in diameter around the loader. Keep all other people outside of this area and
do not allow yourself to be disturbed during the operation of the machine. Never forget that as
the operator, you must be the only person near the machine, and that you are inside the
danger zone. Always pay attention because the boom can rotate 360°, which means that the
load could accidentally strike you.
Security Indicators
Pay attention to the stickers and the warning labels that appear on your machine. Keep
fingers, hands, and feet away from moving parts. Keep the protective shields and other security
devices in place and replace them if they have been removed or damaged. Only allow your
machine to be used by responsible people who have received all the necessary training on how
to operate it safely. Find out about the regulations in effect in your region regarding the use of
forestry and agricultural equipment by minors. Make sure that all your operators know the
emergency telephone numbers and the location of your first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
Dangerous Situations
Before starting the tractor, make sure that all controls are in neutral position. It is always
dangerous to stand on the machine. Keep fingers, hands, and feet away from moving parts:
chains, gears, etc. Remember that all parts are potentially dangerous because certain parts can
come loose suddenly.
Fuel
Gasoline is a very flammable substance which must be handled with care in an approved
container when you fill the engine tank of your hydraulic unit, ATV or tractor. Put back in place
and firmly tighten the tank cap and wipe away any spilled fuel. Never add gasoline when the
engine is hot or operating. Have a working fire extinguisher within arm’s reach near the place
of operation.
Safe Maintenance and Repair
Stop the tractor and remove the switch key from the tractor before performing maintenance,
adjustments, or repairs. Release the oil pressure before moving beneath certain hydraulically
lifted parts. Replace all defective or worn out parts. We recommend you use original or

approved parts in order to protect your warranty and to obtain optimal performance from your
machine.
Hydraulic Oil
If you use a tractor and if the hoses pass through the cab or near the operator, you must install
a protective barrier on them in case of breakage. Any leak of pressurized oil can cause serious
injuries. Do not use your hands to locate a leak, but rather an object such as a piece of
cardboard. Stop the engine (or the tractor) and release the pressure before disconnecting or
reconnecting the hoses. Firmly tighten all connections before restarting the engine or
reapplying hydraulic pressure.
WARNING
Any hydraulic fluid that makes contact on or underneath the skin must be
removed within hours by a doctor familiar with this type of injury. Without
intervention, serious problems, including gangrene, may result.
Risk of Electrocution
If you need to move the boom of your loader in the vicinity of an electric line, be extra careful.
Traveling Safely on Public Roads
Whenever you move the machine, raise the stabilizer legs and secure the grapple around the
pillar. If the trailer is loaded, secure the grapple to the load as close as possible to the load’s
center of gravity. Don’t forget to release the trailer stand and place it on the safety barrier; if
you fail to do this, the stand could break when the machine is moved. Attach a security chain
between the machine and your tractor. Find out about the road regulations in your region. The
tires of the M-90 loader generally do not meet regulatory standards for long-distance travel on
public roads. Whenever you move the machine, do not forget to raise the mechanical jack in
order to avoid breakage.
End of Operation
At the end of each day’s work and especially if you will not use the bale wrapper again for a
long period of time, do not forget to close the engine fuel valve (1), located beneath the choke
on the left side of the engine (Figure 2.1).

Cold Weather Operation
It is important to run the unit (or the tractor) for several minutes before moving the levers to
allow the oil to warm up in the system. Next, make the oil circulate freely in all the circuits for
several minutes to balance its temperature before applying operating pressure with a load. At
all times, avoid turning the boom at full speed to its maximum extension. This could cause
serious damage.

Boom Lifting Capacity
Our loader was tested to lift and move a load of 1350 lbs for the M-140 and 1100 lbs for the M-
160 at the end of the boom in full extension (will a hydraulic pressure of 2450 PSI).
Standard Components
This loader was specially designed to be attached also to be attached to a low- or medium-
power tractor and operated with the tractor’s hydraulic system. Note that the recommended oil
flow in this case must be between 6 and 12 GPM (22.7 and 45.4 L/min) and that the utmost
cleanliness is recommended whenever the loader is joined to a tractor in order to avoid
problems. Also check that the hoses are well placed so that they won’t twist, get stuck, or wear
out during operation. The loader can also operate with an optional hydraulic unit located at the
front.
Our loader mainly consists of a pillar, a lifting boom, and a grapple, all installed on an Anderson
R-Flex-512 or R-Flex 612 trailer. Four posts retain the load on each side and a solid metal
safety barrier protects the pillar, the hydraulic unit, and the machine operator.

4Operation
Start-Up
Here are the start-up steps for your M-140 loader:
1. Connect the hydraulic hoses to the tractor (if necessary).
Note that the utmost cleanliness is recommended whenever the loader is connected to
the tractor to avoid oil contamination problems.
2. Start the hydraulic unit or switch on the power on the loader.
3. Lower the left and right stabilizer legs.
The loader is ready to load wood logs.
Controls
When facing the controls, the operator will see a basic set of 5 levers (see Figure 4.1): 2
joystick levers in front (#4-5) and 3 simple levers in back (#1-3). In this group of 3 levers, the
lever (1) and the lever (3) lower and raise the left and right stabilizers. The lever (2) opens and
closes the grapple.
The right joystick lever (5) moves the lifting boom (up and down movement) and rotates the
grapple (left and right movement). The left joystick lever (4) moves the stick (up and down
movement) and rotates the pillar (left-right movement).

Stabilizers
Choose ground that is firm enough to support your load with the least possible incline. As soon
as you have started your unit (or your tractor), regardless of whether the loader is attached to
a tractor, use levers 1 and 3 (see Figure 4.1) to lower the 2 stabilizer legs to the ground to
stabilize the machine in the most horizontal position possible before moving the boom.
Loading
Begin by loading the logs near the loader. As the load becomes a counterweight, you will be
able to fully extend your boom. If you sense that the trailer is beginning to fall over, drop the
load immediately. Move your trailer closer and begin again.
Don’t forget to raise the stabilizer legs and the jack every time you move the machine.
Unloading
Once the stabilizer legs have been lowered, begin unloading without any sudden movements.
Toward the end of unloading, reduce the number of logs in the grapple so as not to destabilize
the trailer, whose counterweight is decreasing, especially if your boom is fully extended.
