Switching the unit ON
1 Touch and hold the On/O󰀨 button for 2 seconds. (On Team 3 Front Panel).
2 Check the printer: Is there su󰀩cient paper for the monitoring session?
3 Connect transducers. Display shows transducer connection

Monitoring FHR
1 Determine fetal lie and position.
2 Apply Gel to the green transducer face.
Position on abdomen so as to get optimal heart sound. Secure with belt.
3 Make sure the FHR is clear, and di󰀨erent from the maternal pulse taken at the mother’s wrist.
FHR signal quality is shown by the ashing heart symbol.
4 Adjust the volume for the audio channel.
Monitoring Uterine Activity
1 Position the pink transducer on the midline over the fundus of the uterus. Secure with belt.
2 Zero the Toco. Make sure the uterus is relaxed, and then touch and hold the screen in the pink TOCO
Clinical Region.
Entering Patient Details
1 Touch and hold the box in the top left corner of the screen and a Patient Details dialogue appears.
2 Enter Patient Name using the popup keyboard.
3 Touch the Patient ID eld and type data as required.
4 Touch the Gestational Age eld to bring up another dialogue. Use the up and down arrows to set the
correct gestational age.
5 Touch to set Gestational Age.
6 Touch to set Patient Data.
7 Ensure patient data is entered before you print. It cannot be changed afterwards.

Monitoring FHR for twins
1 Connect both green transducers to Team 3. Display shows transducer connection.
2 Apply Gel to the transducer faces, and position them so as to get optimal heart sounds.
3 Ensure you are not getting two signals from the same twin. If you are, Team 3 will warn that similar
FHRs have been detected.
4 Secure the transducers with belts.
5 To change the Audio channel, touch and hold the screen in the FHR Display Region of relevant trace.
Printing the trace
1 To start or stop printing, touch Printer On/O󰀨 .
2 To advance the paper, touch Paper Feed .

1 Touch and hold the On/O󰀨 button, (On Team 3 Front Panel) , until ‘Power’ screen is displayed.
Touch ‘Power O󰀨’
Store Trace (PDF) to USB Drive (8GB max)
1 Select View Menu .
2 Review Trace .
3 Enter PIN code to enable access to stored traces (PIN code : 98765).
4 Select trace from list by using the arrow to scroll through the traces .
5 Insert USB into USB drive in the rear panel of the fetal monitor.
6 Select View Menu and then select Discharge Patient .
7 Remove USB from the fetal monitor to enable trace to be shared on a PC.
