INfORMAZIONI PER LA sICuREZZA
Attenzione! Riferirsi alle spiegazioni nel presente manuale.
Doppio isolamento
Questa pinza amperometrica è stata studiata per offrire sicurezza nel suo impiego, ma
l’operatore deve prestare attenzione utilizzandolo. Per un impiego sicuro, le regole se-
guenti vanno rispettate.
1 MAI applicare alla pinza amperometrica tensione o corrente che superi il massimo specicato.
2 ADOTTARE EsTREMA CAuTELA se si opera con tensioni superiori a 25Vac rms. Tali
tensioni sono considerate a rischio di scossa.
3 MAI utilizzare il multimetro se il suo coperchio posteriore e lo sportello batterie/fusibili non
sono saldamente chiusi.


1 Impostare il selettore funzione sulla gamma A AC.
2 Premere il pulsante per l’apertura della pinza e serrare intorno ad un singolo conduttore, avvol-
gendolo totalmente. Non lasciare un interstizio tra le due metà della pinza. Riferirsi allo schema
qui a destra riguardo al modo giusto per serrare un singolo conduttore.
3 Leggere sul display LCD il valore A AC.

1 Porre il selettore di Funzione sulla gamma
ADC.
2 Premere il tasto ZERO per annullare le vi-
sualizzazioni errate sul display della pinza
3 Premere il pulsante per l’apertura della
pinza.
4 Serrare tutt’intorno il conduttore da misu-
rare. Non lasciare un interstizio tra le due
metà delle gansce.
5 Leggere sul display LCD il valore ADC.

MIsuRAZIONI DI TENsIONE IN AC sENZA CONTATTO
1 Con la punta della sonda, toccare il conduttore sotto corrente; oppure inserire la punta nel lato
sotto corrente dell’uscita elettrica del conduttore (presa).
2 Se è presente tensione in AC, la luce della pinza amperometrica.
NOTA: I conduttori in cavi multipli sono sovente attorcigliati. Per i migliori risultati, passare la
punta della sonda lungo la lunghezza del cavo per assicurare di mettere la punta in stretta prossi-
mità del conduttore sotto tensione.
NOTA: La pinza amperometrica è progettata per un alta sensibilità. L’elettricità statica od altre
fonti di energia possono casualmente far scattare il sensore. Ciò è normale.
ATTENZIONE: Rischio di Elettrocuzione! Prima dell’uso, vericare sempre il buon funziona-
mento dell’apparecchio provandolo su un circuito sotto tensione noto

TORCIA
Per accendere la torcia, premere il tasto alla sommità. Togliendo il dito dal tasto, la torcia si spegne.
RITENuTA DATI
Per bloccare la lettura di corrente sul display LCD, premere il tasto “Hold Backlight”. La parola
HOLD apparirà sul display LCD mentre la pinza amperometrica è in modalità Data Hold (man-
tenimento dati). Per uscire dalla funzione Data Hold e rimettere il multimetro in funzionamento
normale, premere di nuovo il tasto “Hold Backlight”. La parola HOLD scompare.
RETROILLuMANZIONE DIsPLAy
Premere il tasto “Hold Backlight” per oltre 2 secondi per accendere la retroilluminazione. Ciò
attiverà anche la funzione Data Hold. Per uscire dalla funzione Data Hold e ripristinare il normale
funzionamento del multimetro, premere momentaneamente il tasto Data Hold. Per spegnere la
retroilluminazione, premere il tasto “Hold Backlight” per oltre 2 secondi.
sPEgNIMENTO AuTOMATICO
La funzione auto off spegne il multimetro automaticamente dopo 7 minuti.

sOsTITuZIONE DELLE BATTERIE
1 Quando sul display LCD appare il simbolo di batteria scarica, occorre sostituire le batterie.
2 Spegnere, poi togliere la vite dal vano batterie sul retro.
3 Alzare il coperchio del vano batterie e sostituire le due batterie da 1,5V tipo “AAA”.
4 Rimettere il coperchio e serrare la vite.

Double Insulation
This meter has been designed to be safe in use, but the operator must use caution in its
operation. The rules listed below should be carefully followed for safe operation.
1 NEVER apply voltage or current to the meter that exceeds the specied maximum:
2 USE EXTREME CAUTION when working with voltages greater than 25VAC rms. These
voltages are considerd a shock hazard.
3 NEVER operate the meter unless the back cover and the battery/fuse door are in place and
fastened securely

OPERATION
AC 
1 Set the Function switch to the ACA range.
2 Press the jaw trigger and clamp around, fully enclosing a single conductor. Do not allow a gap
between the two halves of the jaw. Refer to the diagram at right for the correct way to enclose
a single conductor.
3 Read the ACA value on the LCD.
DC 
1 Set the Function switch to the DCA range.
2 Press the ZERO key to null the meter
display.
3 Press the Trigger to open the current
sense Jaw.
4 Fully enclose the conductor to be measu-
red. Do not allow a gap between the two
halves of the jaw.
5 Read the DCA value on the LCD.

NON-CONTACT AC VOLTAgE MEAsuREMENTs
1 Touch the probe tip to the hot conductor or insert into the hot side of the electrical outlet.
2 If AC voltage is present, the detector light will illuminate.
NOTE:
The conductors in electrical cord sets are often twisted. For best results, rub the probe tip along a
length of the cord to assure placing the tip in close proximity to the live conductor.
NOTE:
The detector is designed with high sensitivity. Static electricity or other sources of energy may
randomly trip the sensor. This is normal operation
WARNING: Risk of Electrocution. Before use, always test the Voltage Detector on a known
live circuit to verify proper operation

Press and hold the top button to turn the ashlight on. Release the button to turn the ashlight off.
DATA hOLD
To freeze the current reading on the LCD, press the “Hold Backlight” key. The word HOLD will
appear on the LCD while the meter is in the Data Hold mode. To release the Data Hold function
and return the meter to normal operation, press the “Hold Backlight” key again. The word HOLD
will switch off.
BACkLIghT DIsPLAy
Press and hold the “Hold Backlight” key for more than 2 seconds to turn on the backlight. This
will also activate the Data Hold function. To release the Data Hold function and return the meter
to normal operation, press the Data Hold key momentarily. To turn off the backlight, press and
hold the “Hold Backlight” key for more than 2 seconds
AuTO POwER Off
The auto off feature will turn the meter off after 7 minutes.

BATTERy REPLACEMENT
1 When the low battery symbol appears on the LCD the batteries must be replaced.
2 Power down and remove the rear battery compartment screw.
3 Lift off the battery compartment cover and replace the two 1.5V AAA cells.
4 Replace compartment cover and secure the screw.

