LP-1000N PLU Programming and Initial Set-up
To get to Programming mode: 1 mode (THIS REPLACES THE TWO SWITCHES ON FRONT OF SCALE)
Date: 1 mode then ▲(arrow up) 2 times to SET then press PRT/*
A) press 1 then PRT/*
B) Enter new Date and then press PRT/* (DDMMYY) format
Time: 1 mode then ▲2 times to SET then press PRT/*
A) Press 2 PRT/*
B) Enter New Time then press PRT/*
Store Name: 1 mode then ▲3 times to SHOP then press PRT/*
A) Type in 1st line of store name using left hand keyboard then press enter.
B) Type in 2nd line of store name then press PRT/* to save.
PLU Programming: 1 mode then PRT/* (You must hit PRT/* before entering each item)
A) Enter PLU# then PRT/*
B) ICODE= Commodity Number in Barcode
C) Name= Enter Description of product with Alpha Keys
D) MSGno= This is used for Ingredients (Link Msg. # to PLU)
E) Price= Enter Unit Price
F) Tare= Enter Tare of package
G) GCODE= Used for Group Code
H) Save= Press PRT/* to save and print out PLU on label.

Ingredients Programming: 1 mode then ▲5 times to MSG then press PRT/*
A) Enter MSG # then press PRT/*
B) Type 1st line of text then press enter
C) Type 2nd line of text then press enter (up to 8 lines of text)
D) Press PRT/* to save
Label Type: Press 1 mode then ▲2 times to SET then press PRT/*
A) Press 4 then PRT/*
B) Press 5 to CLABEL and this should be a “0” for gapped labels (scale needs a reboot)
C) Press 1 for label length (see chart for length setting)
Label Format: Press 1 mode then ▲2 times to SET then press PRT/*
A) Press 4 PRT/* then 2
B) Enter format Number then press PRT/*
C) See page 59 to 63 in manual for format desired
Label Print Options: Press 1 mode then ▲2 times to SET then press PRT/*
A) Press 4 then PRT/* then 3 to label mask
B) Enter your Hexadecimal 4 digit number
C) Press PRT/* to save
Label Adjust: Press 1 mode then ▲2 times to SET then press PRT/*
A) Press 5 PRT/*
B) Enter adjust Number from chart below for label size
C) Press PRT/* then enter Feed Number from chart.

Temporary Price Change: Press 1 mode then press ▲2 times to SET then press PRT/*
A) Press 6 PRT/* and then 0 disables this function
B) Press 1 for temporary price change
C) Press 2 for permanent price change
Sensor Testing: Press 1 mode then ▲2 times to SET then press PRT/*
A) Press 12 PRT/* to Poff (Peel off Sensor) then press PRT/*
B) Unblocked (take reading) Blocked (take reading) add both then divide by 2
C) This number will be entered here IE: 8 + 200 = 208/2 = 104 # Entered
D) Press ▲2 times to “Pend” (Label Gap Sensor) and do same for this.
E) Put label gap in sensor take reading, Put label with backing paper in sensor and
take reading, then add up both readings and divide by 2 and enter number
there.

Ram Clearing: Press 1 mode then press ▲1 time to “init”
A) Press PRT/* then it asks you for password
B) Type in (22757) then press PRT/*
C) The screen will say ALL then press PRT/*
D) The screen will say PROCESS (about 2 minutes until complete)
NOTE: Please reset all the label specifications after RAM clear especially “CLABEL” because this
defaults to a number 5 and then reboot your scale.
Scale to Scale Transfer: Go to Trans Mode
A) Press 2 mode on the scale which has no data in it
B) Press ▲1 time and the screen says “trans” then press PRT/*
C) Data now transfers
D) Cable part number is J11 (25 pin Female to 25 pin Female)
Calibration: Take off platter and remove metal plate in front of the scale on top by removing
the 2 screws.
A) Make sure scale is off and flip micro switch to left and replace platter.
B) Scale reads CAL. Now press the 3 key and scale reads UNLOAD.
C) Press PRT/* and counts down and now scale reads LOAD.
D) Put 30 lbs. of certified weights on platter and press PRT/*
E) Remove weights, turn scale off and flip switch back.

F) Turn scale on and test.
