PROTECTOR ELECTRONIC KEY CABINET models 40E, 80E and 120E
GENERAL
1Each time a button is pressed the yellow light will flash
2If the next button is not pressed within 20 seconds the system will go back to the dormant state
3To reactivate the keypad press any button
4The function ‘*’ (star) key and the ‘#’ hash key is the same
5Preset factory code is 159#
6This cabinet can have 2 user codes, a master code and a personal code
7DO NOT KEEP THE EMERGENCY OPENING KEYS IN THE SAFE
OPENING THE SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME
1Gently remove the cover in the middle of the lock facia.
2Use the emergency opening key to release the lock
3Turn the knob to open the cabinet.
4Insert the batteries which will be found inside the cabinet
5Close the cabinet door, lock with the emergency keys
6Test with the factory code –press 1, 5,9, # then turn the knob to open the door
SET A NEW MASTER CODE
1Open the cabinet door using the factory code
2Locate the red button (set switch) at the back of the safe door
3Press 00 (zero, zero)
4Press the set switch –yellow light will flash, this means the password management feature
is active
5Input your new code –3 –8 digits
6Press # or * to confirm –there will be 2 beeps and the yellow light will go off
SET A NEW PERSONAL CODE
1Open the cabinet door
2Press the set switch (red button) once
3Yellow light shows password management is active
4Input your new code –3 –8 digits
5Press # or* to confirm –there will be 2 beeps and the yellow light will go off
USING THE SAFE
1Enter the master code or the user code and press # to confirm
2Two beeps will be hear and green light will come on
3You now have 5 seconds to turn the knob to the right and open the door
4After 5 seconds the green light will go off
5If you input an incorrect code the buzzer will beep several times
6After three incorrect code entries the system will lock for 20 seconds, after 20 seconds the
buzzer will beep for 20 seconds. When the buzzer stops try again.
