Before you install this kit — Read and understand all
instructions, warnings, cautions, and notes contained in
this installation instruction guide. Consult your vehicle
owner’s manual for proper disconnection of electrical and
lifting of vehicle if required for installation of this product.
This install may require some technical skills and
knowledge of basic mechanical work. If you do not feel that
you are capable of performing this install please take this
product to a trained professional.

Proper installation of this kit required knowledge of the factory
recommended procedures for removal and installation of original
equipment components. We recommend that the factory shop manual
and any special tools needed to service your vehicle be on hand during
the installation. Installation of this kit without proper knowledge of the
factory recommended procedures may affect the performance of these
components and the safety of the vehicle

Inspect all contents of this package to make sure product is not damaged
and all installation hardware has been included. If parts are missing from
kit, please be prepared to provide the following information

STEP 1 | Disconnect the wiring
harness for the license plate light.
This is located inside the bumper behind
the license plate.
STEP 2 | Disconnect the bumper
wiring harness using a panel clip tool
or at screwdriver to pry open the white
locking clip and remove.
Use a panel clip removal tool to
disconnect the two clips securing the
wiring to the vehicle.
This is located behind the bumper on the
driverside of the vehicle.

STEP 3 | Use a 8mm socket to
remove the bolts securing the rear inner
fender covers.
STEP 4 | Use a 16mm socket to
remove the bolts securing the bumper
brackets to the bumper. These are located
on the edges of the bumper behind the
rear tires.
STEP 5 | Use a 16mm socket to
remove the remaining four bolts securing
the bumper to the vehicle located
between the bumper and rearmost body
mount.
NOTE: Bumper may become loose while
removing these bolts. Assistance is
recommended to prevent injury and
damage to the vehicle or product.

STEP 6 | Remove the remaing
brackets from the frame rails using either
an 18mm or 21mm socket.
Note: The tool required may vary based on
model.

STEP 7 | Install the license plate
bracket onto the bumper using the
provided M6 hardware with a 4mm allen
bit and 10mm wrench.
Install license plate using the same
provided hardware and tools.
Begin by unpacking all items and
inspecting for missing pieces or damage.
If you have any concens, please contact the
company the product was purhcased from.

STEP 8 | Apply the foam on to the
license plate light and install onto the
license plate with the light facing down.
Use a philips head screwdriver while
holding the nut with your hand to secure.
STEP 9 | If you choose to run pod
lights, install these at this time using the
hardware provided with the lights.
Note: We are using a 3” elite series pod light for
our install.

STEP 10 | Install the brackets onto
the bumper using the provided M14x35
hardware. Use a 10mm allen bit, 21mm
socket, and a 21mm wrench.
We provided an allen head bolt to be used
for the exterior mounting on the bottom
corners.
Secure the brackets and leave only
enough slack for the brackets to be
adjustable.
STEP 11 | Slide the nut plate into the
passenger frame rail lining it up with the
mounting holes on the bottom.
STEP 12 | Lift the bumper to the
vehicle and loosely secure using the
factory hardware and a 21mm or 18mm
socket.
Ensure the wiring is not pinched during
install.
Note: It is recommended to open the tailgate
prior to installing the bumper.

STEP 13 | Adjust the bumpers up
and down position as desired.
When it is adjusted, secure the bottom
corner bolts using a 10mm allen bit and
a 22mm wrench Then secure the upper
hardware using a 21mm socket and 22m
wrench..
STEP 14 | Adjust the tment of the
bumper against the vehicles body.
When it is adjusted as desired, secure
using the M12x45 hex bolts under the
passenger frame rail with an 18mm
socket.
Finish securing all facotry
hardware using a 18mm or 21mm socket.
Note: The tool required may vary based on
model.

STEP 15 | Disconnect vehicle battery
by referring to manufacturers manual for
proper procedure.
Locate the factory license plate wiring
harness from the bumper and splice the
new license plate light into the end of
the wiring harness to retain the factory
connectors.
Once the wiring is spliced, reconnect it to
the factory wiring harness on the vehicle.
Reconnect vehicle battery by referring
to manufacturers manual for proper
procedure.
STEP 16 | Congrats! You are nished
with the install of the 2018+ Jeep JL
Wrangler Spec Series Rear Bumper.
