• Die Pedale sollten nach der Montage fest sitzen.
• Nach 50 km bzw. nach der ersten Fahrt die Pedalgewinde nachziehen und
danach regelmäßig auf feste Montage prüfen.
• Nach Stürzen sind alle Bauteile auf Beschädigungen zu überprüfen und eventuell
auszutauschen. Bei Fragen wenden Sie sich an Ihren Fachhändler.

Safety precautions:
• Torque: 35 Nm (25.7 ft-lb) – do not overtighten.
• The pedals should t tightly after assembly.
• Re-check the threads setting following the rst ride / 50 km of riding and then check
periodically to ensure that the screws are not loosening.
• Following any crashes or impacts, please check the parts of the pedals for damage.
Check to see that the parts are still secure. Replace if necessary. In the event of any
questions, please contact your local retailer.

• Couple de serrage: 35 Nm - Les vis de serrage ne doivent pas être trop serrées
• Les pédales doivent être bien xées après le montage.
• Vérier le letage après la sortie initiale ou après 50 km. S’assurer
périodiquement que les vis ne se desserrent pas.
• À la suite à d’une chute ou de tout autre accident, les composants des pédales
doivent être vériés et remplacés au besoin. Consultez votre détaillant pour
toute autre question.

(DE) Tragen Sie etwas Fett auf das
saubere Gewinde auf.
(EN) Add a small amount of grease to
the threads.
(FR) Ajoutez ensuite un peu de
graisse au letage.

(DE) Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gewinde präzise und gerade angesetzt wird und sich
leicht einschrauben lässt (mit der Hand möglich!). Lässt sich das Pedal nur mit großem
Kraftaufwand in die Kurbel eindrehen, so schrauben Sie das Pedal wieder los und
setzen Sie es erneut auf das Kurbelgewinde.
(EN) Please ensure that the pedal is correctly aligned and that it can be smoothly
tightened. To begin with do this by hand. If you are having diculties, please check
alignment again.
(FR) Assurez-vous que les pédales soient alignées correctement de telle sorte que vous
puissiez facilement les serrer. Vous pouvez commencer par les visser à la main. Si vous
avez des dicultés, vériez l’alignement.

(DE) Schrauben Sie die Pedale mit einem 6 mm Innensechskantschlüssel oder 15er
Gabelschlüssel an. Drehen Sie das linke Pedal mit dem Uhrzeigersinn fest, das rechte
Pedal gegen den Uhrzeigersinn (Aufdruck auf Pedal beachten).
(EN) Mount the pedals using an 6 mm Allen key or an 15 mm open-end wrench. Tighten
the left pedal by turning it anti-clockwise (counter clockwise), and the right hand pedal
by turning it clockwise (note imprint on pedal).
(FR) Puis vissez les pédales à l’aide d’une clé Allen de 6 mm ou une clé plate de 15.
Vissez ensuite la pédale gauche en la tournant dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une
montre. Vissez enn la pédale droite dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre
(Observer l'indication sur la pédale).

design of the tread. We recommend sport shoes for the pedals as with them you can
benet from the pedals best.

Nettoyage et entretien:
Les pédales doivent toujours être propres. À l’aide d’un chion, d’une éponge ou d’une
brosse à poils doux, il est conseillé de les nettoyer avec de l’eau chaude et un détergent
très dilué. Ne pas utiliser de pulvérisateur puissant ni de tuyau à haute pression; ils
risquent d’endommager les paliers de pédale et de réduire la durée de vie du produit.
Ne pas utiliser non plus de matériaux abrasifs, de détergents puissants, de solvants ni
d’alcool; ils peuvent abîmer les pédales.

Warranty:
During the rst two years of ownership of the product (measured from the day of
purchase) you have full legal rights to a replacement should the product have a fault
which makes it unusable for the original purpose. However, keep in mind that the pedal
surface is subject to natural wear and tear, which is not covered by warranty. Ourwar-
ranty does not cover any damage resulting from incorrect use of the product or failure
to observe any of the instructions given. The warranty does not cover crash damage.
The warranty is invalid should the product have been modied in any way. If you have
any cause to return the product please take it to a specialist bicycle retailer together
with proof of purchase.

Care and Maintenance:
Pedals should be kept clean. It is recommended that this is done using warm water with
a very dilute detergent, a cloth, sponge or a soft bristled brush. Do not use a pressure
washer or high pressure hose as these will damage the bearing and reduce the life to
the product. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh detergents. Do not use solvents or
alcohol as these may damage the pedals.

Während der ersten zwei Jahre nach dem Kauf dieses Produkts haben Sie vollen
Anspruch auf die gesetzliche Sachmängelhaftung (vormals Gewährleistung). Bedenken
Sie jedoch, dass die Pedaloberfläche einer natürlichen Abnutzung unterliegt, die nicht
durch die Sachmängelhaftung abgedeckt wird. Alle Gewährleistungsfristen werden
ungültig, wenn der Artikel auf Grund eines Unfalls beschädigt oder zweckentfremdet
wurde, Systemänderungen sowie andere Veränderungen vorgenommen wurden oder

Reinigung und Pflege:
Reinigen Sie die Ergon Pedale regelmäßig mit warmem Seifenwasser und einem Tuch,
Schwamm oder einer weichen Bürste. Die rutschhemmdende Trittfläche ist selbst-
reinigend, jedoch kann sich bei starker Vermutzung die Oberfläche zusetzen und die
Rutschhemmung nachlassen. Bürsten Sie deshalb am besten regelmässig die Oberflä-
che mit einer Bürste sauber. Benutzen Sie keinen Hochdruckreiniger, da hierdurch die
Dichtung beschädigt und die Lebensdauer der Pedallagerung verringert wird. Achten
Sie darauf, keine scharfkantigen Gegenstände (z.B. Messer oder Schraubendreher)
oder aggressive Reinigungsmittel (Nitroverdünnung, etc.) zu benutzen.
