least 0.3m(300mm )between the bulb and
anyilluminated surface.Donotusethe fitting
without the safetyshield fitted.

bare fingers, grip the lampwithatissueor
clean soft cloth.

freshlypainted or otherwiseelectrically

Installation:
SURFACE
1) Check thatthetransformer you intend touseto
power your fitting isadequatelyrated for the
total number offittingsyou are installing and
thatithasbeen installedin accordancewithall
of the manufacturers instructions.
2) Choosethe location for your new fitting.
3) Prepare the routefor the cable between the
light and the transformer.
4) Extract the lightfromits surround bygently
levering itoutusing asmallscrewdriveror
other flatbladed implement. Takegreatcare
not todamage the decorativefinish.
5) Withthe cable threaded through the surround,
secure the surround in position usingsuitable
fixings appropriatetothe mounting surface.
6) Gently pull the cable through your prepared exit
routeand press the lightfitting backintothe
surround. Makesure thatyou do not trap aloop
of cable behind the light fitting.
7) Makethe connection ofthe cable tothe
transformer.Werecommend the useofan
Eterna Lighting transformer whichhassockets
designed toallowthe plug fittedtoyourlightto
plug directly in.
Note:Ifyou haveanyother transformer in
whichthere is no provision for connection using
the plug fitted toyour light,you willneed tocut
the plug off and usean alternativemethod of
connection.Theconnectionstothe lightfitting
are notdesignated Liveor Neutral.Make
connectionsusing aterminal block, ensure that
there are no strandsofwire protruding and
wrap well withinsulating tape.
8) Restore the power and switchon.

Assembling the plug:
>Onceyou havethreaded the cablesfromyour light toyour transformer,
you will need topushthe pinsatthe endsofyour cablesintothe plug
body. Note,oncethe pins havebeen inserted they cannot be removed.
