Helpful bunk bed safety tips
Bunk beds should be checked periodically to ensure that the guardrail, ladder and other
components are secure and in the correct position and all connectors are tight.
We recommend that children under the age of nine (9) do not use the upper bunk. Children
should be discouraged from playing on the bunk bed.
No more than one occupant should use the upper bunk at any time (unless otherwise stated).
Bunk beds should be placed a minimum of 2 metres away from any ceiling fans to prevent any
injury to the upper bunk occupant.

! Never use power tools unless specifically instructed. They can damage your components or
hardware if used incorrectly.

! Periodically check and re-tighten all fasteners. Check the product care label or website for
product care instructions.
! Never use any glue until you are certain that the parts belong together.
! Bulky items such as wardrobes and bunk beds should be assembled in the room they will be
used as they may not fit through a door once assembled.
! Always use a soft surface (such as carpet or cardboard) when assembling your product to
avoid scratching or damaging the surface of the product.
! The most common mistakes made during assembly are using the wrong hardware or getting
components back to front.
Unless instructed, do not fully tighten screws
until the item is fully assembled.
Make sure you have all the required tools.
Never use power tools unless instructed.

bolts (H7) by tightening
with the allen key (H8).
Attach the 22 x medium bolts (H7)
into the headboard (P1) and
footboard (P2) by tightening with
the allen key (H8).
Do not fully tighten the bolts, and
ensure you leave a 8mm gap
between the head of the bolt and
the brackets on the side panels (P1
& P2).

You will need
1 x Allen Key

With assistance, attach the bottom front side rail (P3) to the
headboard (P1) and footboard (P2) by slotting the bracket on the side
rail (P3) over the bolts on the headboard (P1) and footboard (P2).
Repeat for the bottom back side rail (P4).
Do not fully tighten bolts until Step 9.

With assistance, attach the top back side rail (P5)
to the headboard (P1) and footboard (P2) by
slotting the bracket on the side rail (P5) over the
bolts on the headboard (P1) and footboard (P2).
Tighten 8 x medium bolts with the allen key (H8).
Do not fully tighten bolts until Step 9.

bolts (H9) by tightening with the allen

With assistance, attach the top front side rail (P6) and the front wood guard rail (P7) to
the headboard (P1) and footboard (P2) by slotting the brackets on over the bolts on the
headboard (P1) and footboard (P2).
Tighten 6 x short bolts (H1) with the allen key (H8).
Attached the connecting plate (H5) to the front wood guard rail (P7) and top front side
rail (P6) from inside with 4 x short bolts (H1) by tightening with the allen key (H3).
Ensure all bolts on the bunk are fully tightened.

Fix the 24 x slats (P9) for the top bed and bottom bed side rails with 96 x screws (H2) by
tightening with a phillips head screwdriver.
Attach the ladder (P8) to
the bunk on the top
front side rail (P6) and
bottom front side rail
(P3) with 4 x long bolts
(H9) and 4 x flat washers
(H6) by tightening with
the allen key (H3) from
the inside as shown.
