1Function and application
Valve sub-base type CPE...-PRSG-2/-3
(double or three-way) connects 5/2 or
5/3-way valves of type CPE-... with cen-
tral supply connections.
Two further valves can be supplied by
means of extension plate type CPE...-
PRS-2.
Different pressure zones or a bilateral
pressure supply can be implemented by
means of end plate type CPE-...-PRS-
EP. The maximum amount of equipment
which can be fitted is:
6 valves - with unilateral pressure
supply or
- for each pressure zone
12 valves - with bilateral pressure
supply
The diaphragms have been removed
from the variants CPE-...-PRSO-...
Valve sub-base CPE-...-PRS... is in-
tended for mounting on a wall or on a
hat rail.
Funktion und Anwendung
Der Ventilanschlußblock CPE...-
PRSG-2/-3 (zweifach oder dreifach) ver-
bindet 5/2- oder 5/3-Wegeventile vom
Typ CPE-... mit zentralen Versorgung-
sanschlüssen.
Mit Hilfe der Erweiterungsplatte
CPE...-PRS-2 können zwei weitere
Ventile versorgt werden.
Mit Hilfe der Endplatte CPE-...-PRS-EP
können unterschiedliche Druckzonen
oder eine zweiseitige Drucklufteinspei-
sung realisiert werden.
Die maximale Ausbaustufe beträgt:
6 Ventile -bei einseitiger Druckluftein-
speisung oder
-für jede Druckzone
12 Ventile - bei zweiseitiger Druckluftein-
speisung
Bei den Varianten CPE-...-PRSO-... sind
die Membranen entfernt.
Der Ventilanschlußblock CPE-...-PRS...
ist für die Wand- bzw. Hutschienenmon-
tage vorgesehen.

•Compare the specified limit values
with your actual application.
The permitted limit values, e.g. for
pressures and temperatures must not
be exceeded.
•Comply with national and local
safety laws and regulations.
•Unauthorized product modification is
not permitted.
Fitting
mechanical
Preparation
•First place all the CPE...-PRS... in
the order in which they are to be
fitted.
•Carry out the pressurization of the
valves (e.g. by first drawing a sketch).
Voraussetzungen für den
Produkteinsatz
•Vergleichen Sie die angegebenen Grenz-
werte mit Ihrem aktuellen Einsatzfall.
Die zulässigen Grenzwerte, z.B. für
Drücke und Temperaturen dürfen
nicht überschritten werden.
•Beachten Sie die Vorschriften der Be-
rufsgenossenschaft, des Technischen
Überwachungsvereins oder entspre-
chende nationale Bestimmungen.
•Verwenden Sie das Produkt ohne
jegliche eigenmächtige Veränderung.
Einbau
mechanisch
Vorbereitung
•Plazieren Sie zunächst sämtliche
CPE...-PRS... in deren Montage-
reihenfolge.
•Vollziehen Sie den Druckverlauf
nach (z.B. mit einer Skizze).

If several pressure zones are used,
•Make sure that the diaphragms are
not broken at the interface of two
pressure zones. Damaged dia-
phragms cannot be sealed again.
You must decide here, whether dia-
phragms should be removed from the
compressed air channels in order to
provide an unhindered flow.
Removing non-required diaphragms
•Proceed as follows
- Press the three diaphragms in the
compressed air channels on the
CPE...-PRS... inwards with a punch
(A) as shown in the sketch
- Deburr any broken edges
- Remove shavings
Due to this time-saving work mode,
irregular edges occur compared with
precision processing by machine.
For hat rail fitting
1. Hang all the CPE-...-PRS... onto the
hat rail in the correct sequence.
Bei Einsatz mehrerer Druckzonen:
•Stellen Sie sicher, daß die Mem-
branen an der Schnittstelle zweier
Druckzonen unversehrt bleiben.
Eingedrückte Membranen können
nicht wieder verschlossen werden.
Dabei ist zu überlegen, ob Membranen der
Druckluftkanäle für einen ungehinderten
Durchfluß entfernt werden müssen.
Zum Entfernen nicht benötigter Membranen:
•Vollziehen Sie folgende Schritte:
- die drei Membranen der Druckluft-
kanäle am CPE...-PRS... mit einem
Durchschlag (A) gemäß Druckver-
laufskizze von außen nach innen
eindrücken,
- Bruchränder entgraten und
- Späne entfernen.
Durch diese zeitsparende Arbeit-
sweise entstehen im Vergleich zur
maschinellen Feinbearbeitung unre-
gelmäßige Bruchkanten.
Zur Hutschienenmontage:
1. Plazieren Sie sämtliche CPE-...-PRS...
gemäß Montagereihenfolge auf der
Hutschiene.

In order to link the CPE...-PRS...:
•Proceed as follows (see Figs. 3
and 4):
1. Place a sealing ring between each of
the three compressed air channels
and press the sub-bases together.
2. Push a connector

onto the rail thus
formed on each side until it snaps into
place.
In order to fit the CPE valves (Fig. 5):
•Proceed as follows:
1. Press in all the valve slides
2
until
they snap into the first notch.
2. Push a seal onto each compresssed
air output.
3. Screw the valve connectors with the
seals fitted into connections 3 and 5 of
the CPE valve.

Zur Verkettung von CPE...-PRS...:
•Vollziehen Sie folgende Schritte
(siehe Bilder 3 und 4):
1. Je einen Dichtring zwischen die drei
Druckluftkanäle legen und die An-
schlußblöcke zusammendrücken.
2. Auf beiden Seiten ein Verbindungss-
tück

bis zum Einrasten auf die sich
gebildete Schiene schieben.
Zur Montage der CPE-Ventile (Bild 5):
•Vollziehen Sie folgende Schritte:
1. Sämtliche Ventilschieber
2
bis zur
ersten Rastung einschieben.
2. Auf jeden Druckluftausgang eine Dich-
tung setzen.
3. Ventilanschluß-Verschraubungen mit
aufgesetztem Dichtring in die An-
schlüsse 3 und 5 des CPE-Ventils
eindrehen.

4. CPE-Ventile auf den Anschlußblock pla-
zieren (Verdrehsicherung
4
beachten),
andrücken und gleichzeitig Ventil-
schieber in die 2. Rastung einschieben.
Ventilschieber und Ventil sind
dann zueinander bündig.
Nur so vermeiden Sie, daß ungesi-
cherte Ventile bei der Belüftung des
Anschlußblocks herausgeschleudert
werden.
Durchführung
•Achten Sie auf verzugsfreien Einbau
verketteter CPE...-PRS... .
•Berücksichtigen Sie genügend Platz
für die benötigten Anschlüsse.
Zur Hutschienenmontage:
•Drehen Sie die Klemmschrauben
des CPE...-PRS... mit der Hut-
schiene fest.
Zur Wandbefestigung:
•Drehen Sie folgende Anzahl an
Schrauben zur Befestigung ein:

valve are then flush with each other.
Only in this way can you prevent non-
secured valves from being pushed
out when the sub-base is press-
urized.
Carrying out the fitting
•Make sure that the linked CPE...-
PRS... are fitted free of distortion.
•Leave sufficient space for the con-
nections.
Fastening onto a hat rail
•Tighten the locking screws of the
CPE...-PRS... to the hat rail.
Fastening onto a wall
•Insert the following number of
screws for fastening:

•Verwenden Sie vorzugsweise runde
Steckverschraubungen vom Typ QS..-...
mit zylindrischem Anschlußgewinde.
•Verschlauchen Sie die pneumati-
schen Anschlüsse gemäß Druckver-
laufskizze (vgl. Bild 1).
Die Anschlußgewinde sind abzudich-
ten (Anziehdrehmomente siehe Tech-
nische Daten).
Bei Verwendung von konischen
QS-Steckverschraubungen:
•Stellen Sie sicher, daß die An-
schlußgewinde nicht auf Block einge-
dreht werden. Andernfalls kann das
Gewinde zerstört werden
•Drehen Sie die Verschraubungen mit
zwei Lagen Dichtband folgender-
maßen:

Pneumatic
•Use preferably round connectors of
type QS..-... with cylindrical connec-
ting thread.
•Connect the pneumatic tubing in
accordance with the pressurization
sketch (compare with fig.1).
The connection threads must be
sealed (tightening torques see
Technical specifications).
If using cone-shaped QS..-... plug
connectors:
•Make sure that the connecting
threads are not screwed in fully.
Otherwise the thread will be dam-
aged.
•Screw the connectors into the ports
with two layers of sealing tape as fol-
lows:

- zunächst von Hand ein

Ventilplätze:
•Verwenden Sie Blindplatten

Wartung und Pflege
•Reinigen Sie den CPE...-PRS... bei
Bedarf mit den angegebenen Reini-
gungsmitteln:
– Wasser oder Seifenlauge
(max. 60
oC)
– Waschbenzin (aromatenfrei).
Ausbau und Reparatur
Zum Ausbau von CPE-Ventilen:
•Entlüften Sie den CPE...-PRS...
•Ziehen Sie den Ventilschieber

eine Rastung nach außen.
- at first by hand
- then two turns more with a suitable
tool.
For closing non-required valve
locations:
•Use blind plates

tion) of type CPE-...-PRSB.
Maintenance and care
•Clean the CPE...-PRS... when
required with the cleaning agents
specified.
– water or soap suds (max. 60 oC)
– petroleum ether (free of aromatic
compounds)
Dismantling and repairs
In order to dismantle the CPE valves:
•Exhaust the CPE...-PRS...
•Pull the valve slide

outwards one
notch.

Zur Demontage verketteter CPE...-
PRS...:
1. CPE-Ventile ausbauen.
2. Rastnase

niederdrücken und Ventil-
schieber vollständig aus dem
Anschlußblock ziehen.
3. Einzelteile in umgekehrter Montage-
reihenfolge demontieren.
Zur Hutschienendemontage:
1. CPE-Ventile ausbauen.
2. Klemmschraube lösen.
3. Verkettete CPE...-PRS-... demontieren.
4. Befestigungsschieber der einzelnen
Anschlußblöcke mit einem Schrauben-
dreher nach außen hebeln.

In order to dismantle linked CPE...-
PRS...:
1. Remove the CPE valves.
2. Press down the locking nose

and
pull the valve slide completely away
from the sub-base.
3. Dismantle the individual parts
in the reverse order to fitting.
Dismantling from a hat rail
1. Remove the CPE valves.
2. Loosen the locking screws.
3. Dismantle linked CPE...-PRS-... .
4. Use a screwdriver to lift up the fasten-
ing slides of the individual sub-bases.
