Funktion und Anwendung
Das pneumatische Taktvorschubgerät
BV fördert taktweise Endlosmaterial wei-
ter. Es ist für den Einsatz an Ferti-
gungsmaschinen konzipiert. Die Förder-
strecke ist einstellbar. Abwechselnd
wird das Endlosmaterial gespannt:
−durch eine ortsfeste Haltezange,
−durch eine bewegliche Vorschubzan-
ge.
Während die Haltezange das Endlosma-
terial festspannt (Bild 2a),
−führt die Vorschubbrücke des BV ei-
nen Leerhub aus.
Während die Vorschubzange das End-
losmaterial festspannt (Bild 2b),
−wird diese durch die Vorschubbrücke
weiterbewegt,
−fördert sie das Endlosmaterial mit.
Für die Steuerung des BV sind pneuma-
tische oder elektrische 8/2-Wegeventile
vorgesehen.
Function and application
The pneumatic feed unit feeds endless
material at regular intervals. It is inten-
ded for use on manufacturing machines.
The feed path can be adjusted. The
endless material is clamped alternately
by the:
−fixed holding clamp,
−moving feed clamp.
Whilst the holding clamp holds the end-
less material (Fig. 2a)
−the feed clamp of the BV performs an
empty stroke.
Whilst the feed clamp holds the endless
material (Fig. 2b),
−the latter is pushed further through
the feed clamp
−it pulls the endless material along.
The BV is controlled with pneumatic or
electrical 8/2-way valves.

Voraussetzungen für den
Produkteinsatz
Allgemeine, stets zu beachtende Hin-
weise für den ordnungsgemäßen und si-
cheren Einsatz des Produkts:
•Halten Sie die angegebenen Grenz-
werte ein z.B. für: Drücke, Kräfte,
Momente, Massen, Geschwindigkei-
ten, Temperaturen.
•Sorgen Sie für ordnungsgemäß auf-
bereitete Druckluft.
•Berücksichtigen Sie die vorherr-
schenden Umweltbedingungen.
•Behalten Sie die Zusammensetzung
des einmal gewählten Mediums über
die gesamte Produktlebensdauer
bei.
Z.B. gewählt: geölte Druckluft,
beizubehalten: stets geölte Druckluft.
•Beachten Sie die Vorschriften:
– der Berufsgenossenschaft,
– des Technischen Überwachungs-
vereins
– geltende nationale Bestimmungen

Während des Einbaus:
•Lassen Sie die Schutzhaube festge-
schraubt.
Für spätere Wechsel des Werkzeugs
oder der Abmessungen des Endlosma-
terials:
•Prüfen Sie die Notwendigkeit eines
in der Höhe oder der Tiefe verstellba-
ren separaten Unterbaus.
Dadurch ist eine einfache Anpas-
sung möglich.
Für schnelle Werkzeugwechsel:
•Verwenden Sie die Nut (4) zum Posi-
tionieren des BV mittels Paßfedern.
Damit reduziert sich die Rüstzeit.
•Plazieren Sie das BV an der Ferti-
gungsmaschine:
–direktoder
– indirekt über Haltewinkel
Der verstellbare Anschlag für die Vor-
schubbrücke muß dabei nach außen
weisen.

If the tool is to be changed or the di-
mensions of the endless material modi-
fied,
•you should check to see if a separa-
te base adjustable in height and
depth is necessary.
Simple adjustment is then possible.
For speedy tool-changing,
•use groove (4) for positioning the BV
by means of the feather keys.
Conversion time is then reduced.
•Place the BV on the manufacturing
machine:
–directlyor
–indirectlywiththeaidofthe
support bracket.

•Positionieren Sie das BV nach folgen-
den Gesichtspunkten:
– die Höhe des Endlosmaterial-Aus-
tritts aus dem BV muß der erforderli-
chen Höhe der Fertigungsmaschine
angepaßt sein;
– die Längsachse des Endlosmaterials
muß mit der Maschinenachse überein-
stimmen.
•Stellen Sie sicher, daß Sie die Stell-
schrauben stets bedienen können.
Bei senkrechtem/schrägem Einbau oder
hohen Taktzahlen mit großem Hub:
•Berücksichtigen Sie das Gewicht
bzw. die Trägheit des Endlosmateri-
als.
Eine angetriebene Haspel des End-
losmaterials vermeidet Vorschubfeh-
ler.
•Drehen Sie vier Befestigungsschrau-
ben ein.
Ausnahme: BV-200-125 C und
BV-100-70 C; hier sind nur zwei Be-
festigungsbohrungen vorhanden.
•Please take the following into account
when positioning the BV:
– the height of the exit for the endless
material from the BV must be
adapted to the height of the manu-
facturing machine;
– the longitudinal axis of the endless
material must correspond to the
machine axis.
•Make sure that you can always ope-
rate the adjusting screws.
If the BV is fitted in a vertical/diagonal
position or if there are a high number of
cycles and a long forward stroke,
•please take into account the weight
and/or inertia of the endless material.
A driven reel on the endless material
prevents feed faults.
•Tighten the four fastening screws,
except on BV-200-125 C and
BV-100-70 C. Here there are only
two fastening screws.

Bei Vorschub von Rund-, Vierkant-
oder Sonderprofilen sowie bei Material
mit empfindlicher Oberfläche:
•Wechseln Sie die Spannzangen aus
wie unter "Ausbau und Reparatur"
beschrieben.
Werkseitig ist das BV mit flachen
Spannzangen bestückt. Profil-Spann-
zangen können angebaut werden.
Bei Vorschub von dünnem, leichtem
Material:
•Plazieren Sie die beiliegenden Druck-
federn in den unterseitigen Sacklö-
chern der Spannzangen wie unter
"Ausbau und Reparatur" beschrieben.
Dadurch ist die Materialdurchlaßbrei-
te begrenzt.
If feeding round, square or special profi-
les as well as material with a sensitive
surface,
•you should change the clamps as de-
scribed under "Dismantling and re-
pair."
The BV is fitted at the factory with
flat clamps, but profiled clamps can
also be fitted.
If feeding thin, light material,
•you should insert the enclosed com-
pression springs in the lower blind
holes of the clamps as described un-
der "Dismantling and repair".
The throughput width for the material
is thereby limited.

Beim Anschließen der Druckluftan-
schlüsse:
•Achten Sie auf möglichst kurze
Schlauchleitungen.
Schlauchleitungen dürfen nicht in
den Verfahrbereich bewegter Teile
gelangen.
Die Entfernung zwischen rein pneu-
matischer Signalabnahme an der Ma-
schine und Signalverwendung am
Hauptsteuerventil sollte max. 2 m
sein. Sonst wird dessen Schaltge-
schwindigkeit beeinträchtigt.
Bei Bedarf an hohen Taktzahlen:
•Verwenden Sie folgendes Anschluß-
zubehör:
Damit ist ausreichende Luftversorgung
gewährleistet.
Pneumatic
When connecting the compressed air
lines
•ensure that short tubing is used
whereever possible.
Pneumatic tubing must not lie in the
path of moving parts. The distance
between purely pneumatic signal
scanning points on the machine and
signal points on the main control
valve should be max. 2 m sein.
Otherwise the switching speed will
be impaired.
If required,
•use the following connection acces-
sories with high cycle times.
Sufficient air supply is thereby guaran-
teed.

Bei senkrechtem/schrägem Einbau:
•Prüfen Sie die Notwendigkeit von ge-
steuerten Rückschlagventilen für die
Anschlüsse der Spannzangen (z.B.
Typ HGL-...).
Im Falle von schlagartig auftreten-
dem Druckabfall vermeiden Sie da-
mit ein plötzliches Nachlassen der
Spannwirkung.
Bei BV-100-...:
•Verwenden Sie die beiliegenden
Drosselrückschlagventile vom Typ
GRLA-... zum Einstellen der Hubge-
schwindigkeiten.
Bei Serienschaltung zweier BV (nach
Schaltplan, Bild 26):
•Verschließen Sie die Anschlüsse der
Halteklammern mit Blindstopfen.
Die Halteklammern haben in diesem
Fall keine Funktion. Verschmutzun-
gen der Anschlüsse werden so ver-
mieden.

If the BV is fitted in a vertical/diagonal
position,
•check whether open-loop controlled
non-return valves are necessary for
connecting the clamps (e.g. type
HGL-...).
In this way you can avoid sudden fai-
lure of the clamping effect in the
event of a sudden drop in pressure.
With BV-100-...
•you should use the enclosed one-way
flow control valves of type GRLA-...
for setting the stroke speeds.
If two BVs are connected in series (as
shown in circuit diagram, Fig. 26),
•the pneumatic connections for the
clamps should be fitted with blind
plugs.
The clamps have no function in this
case. The connections are then pro-
tected from dirt.

Definiton:
•Verwenden Sie ein zentrales Entlüf-
tungsventil vor der BV-Steuerung.
Bei Einstell- und Umrüstarbeiten ist
das BV samt Steuerung damit stets
drucklos zu schalten.
Beim Einsatz des BV an Pressen:
•Verwenden Sie für die Steuerung
des BV vorzugsweise Positionssigna-
le, die an der rotierenden Exzenter-
scheibe der Presse abgetastet wer-
den.
Diese sind in der Regel exakter und
wartungsfreier abgreifbar als bei li-
nearer Positionsabfrage des Pressen-
stempels.
Definiton:
•Ensure that there is a central ex-
haust valve upstream in the BV con-
trol circuit.
During adjustment and conversion
work the BV and the control circuit
pressure must always be switched
off.
If the BV is used on presses,
•you should preferably use position si-
gnals for controlling the BV. These
position signals are scanned on the
rotating eccentric disc of the press.
These signals are usually more preci-
se and do not require readjustment
of the scanner, as would be the
case with linear scanning of the
press punch.
