1Benutzerhinweise
Der CP-Feldbusknoten 8 ist ausschließlich für den Einsatz als
Teilnehmer am Allen-Bradley RIO-Netzwerk bestimmt. Hierbei
sind die angegebenen Grenzwerte der technischen Daten ein-
zuhalten.
Ausführliche Informationen finden Sie in der Beschreibung
P.BE VIFB8-10....
WARNUNG:
• Schalten Sie die Spannung aus, bevor Sie Steckverbinder
zusammenstecken oder trennen (Funktionsschädigung).
• Schließen Sie einen Schutzleiter mit ausreichendem
Leitungsquerschnitt an den mit gekennzeichneten
Anschluß an, wenn der Knoten nicht auf einem
geerdeten Maschinengestell montiert ist.
HINWEIS:
Nehmen Sie nur einen komplett montierten und verdrahteten
Knoten in Betrieb.

2Konfiguration
HINWEIS:
Beim Öffnen des Knotens: Verbindende Kabel verhindern
das komplette Abheben des Deckels.
VORSICHT:
Der Knoten enthält elektronisch gefährdete Bauelemente.
Berühren der Kontaktflächen an Steckverbindungen und
Mißachtung der Handhabungsvorschriften für elektrostatisch
gefährdete Bauelemente können den Knoten zerstören.
Gehen Sie beim Konfigurieren wie folgt vor:
1. Betriebsspannung abschalten.
2. Knoten öffnen (Schrauben sind verlierbar).
3. Feldbusadresse einstellen.
4. Feldbusbaudrate einstellen.
5. Knoten schließen.
6. Ist das CP-System letzter Feldbusteilnehmer, muß ein
Abschlußwiderstand installiert werden.

1. Ein CP-Ventilplatz belegt zwei Adressen:
- niederwertige Adresse = Vorsteuermagnet 14
- höherwertige Adresse = Vorsteuermagnet 12.
2. Elektrische Ausgangs- oder Eingangsmodule belegen
je 16 Ausgangs- oder Eingangsadressen.

1User instructions
The CP fieldbus node 8 is designed exclusively for use as a
slave on the Allen-Bradley RIO network. The limit values of the
technical specifications must be observed.
Please refer to the manual P.BE VIFB8-10... for detailed infor-
mation.
WARNING:
• Switch off the power supply before you connect or
disconnect plugs (danger of functional damage).
• Connect a protective earth conductor with sufficient cross
section to the connection marked with , if the
node is not fitted on an earthed machine stand.
PLEASE NOTE
Only operate a node which is completely fitted and
electrically wired.

2Configuration
PLEASE NOTE
The cover is connected to the internal PC boards via the
operating voltage cable. It cannot therefore not be removed
completely.
CAUTION
The node contains elements which are liable to damage by
electrostatic charges. The node can also be destroyed if the
contact surfaces of plug connectors are touched, or if the
regulations for handling electrostatically vulnerable compo-
nents are not observed.
Please observe the following when configuring:
1. Switch off the operating voltage.
2. Open node (screws are liable to be lost).
3. Set fieldbus address.
4. Set fieldbus baud rate.
5. Close node.
6. If the CP system to be connected is at the end of a
fieldbus line, a terminating resistor must be installed.

1Instrucciones para el usuario
El nodo de bus de campo CP 8 está diseñado exclusivamente
para ser utilizado como slave en la red RIO de Allen-Bradley.
Deben observarse los valores límite de las especificaciones téc-
nicas.
Para una detallada información, consultar el manual P.BE VIFB8-10....
ATENCIÓN:
• Desconectar la alimentación antes de conectar o
desconectar clavijas (riesgo de daños funcionales).
• Utilizar un conductor de tierra de protección con sección
suficiente en la conexión marcada con si el nodo no
está montado en un bastidor puesto a tierra.
POR FAVOR, OBSERVAR:
Poner en marcha el nodo solamente cuando esté completa-
mente montado y cableado.

2Configuración
POR FAVOR, OBSERVAR:
La tapa está conectada a los circuitos impresos internos a
través del cable de alimentación. Por ello no puede retirarse
completamente.
PRECAUCIÓN:
El nodo contiene elementos que son susceptibles de dañar-
se por descargas electrostáticas. El nodo también puede
destruirse si se tocan las superficies de contacto de los co-
nectores o si no se observan las normas para la manipula-
ción de componentes sensibles a las descargas electrostáti-
cas.
Observar lo siguiente al configurar:
1. Desconectar la tensión de alimentación.
2. Abrir el nodo (cuidar de no perder los tornillos).
3. Establecer la dirección del bus.
4. Establecer la velocidad de transmisión del bus.
5. Cerrar el nodo.
6. Si el nodo se halla conectado al final de una línea de bus,
debe instalarse una resistencia de terminación.
