Function and application
The STAF-...-P-A-K stopper cylinder is
a single-acting cylinder with spring re-
turn.
If the filter nipple is unscrewed from the
compressed air connection and if
both connections  and are used,
the stopper cylinder can also be used
as a double-acting cylinder. This is of
use when higher extension speeds must
be achieved.
The STAF-...-P-A-K stopper cylinder is
designed for use as a retractable fixed
stop in order to reach defined stop posi-
tions with moving loads (e.g. in assem-
bly or sorting systems).
The integrated shock absorber brakes
the moving load gently.
Funktion und Anwendung
Der Stopperzylinder STAF-...-P-A-K ist
ein einfachwirkender Zylinder mit Feder-
rückstellung.
Durch Ausschrauben des Filternippels
aus Druckluftanschluß und Verwen-
dung beider Anschlüsse  und kann
der Stopperzylinder auch doppeltwir-
kend eingesetzt werden. Dies ist sinn-
voll, wenn höhere Ausfahrgeschwindig-
keiten erreicht werden müssen.
Der Stopperzylinder STAF-...-P-A-K wird
bestimmungsgemäß als einfahrbarer
Festanschlag eingesetzt, um bei beweg-
tem Fördergut definierte Haltepositionen
zu erreichen (z.B. bei Bestückungsanla-
gen oder Sortieranlagen).
Der integrierte Stoßdämpfer bremst das
auftreffende Fördergut sanft ab.

These general conditions for the correct
and safe use of the product must be ob-
served at all times.
•Compare the specified limit values
with your actual application.
The permitted limit values, e.g. for
pressures and moments must not be
exceeded.
•Ensure that there is a supply of cor-
rectly prepared compressed air.
•Comply with national and local safe-
ty laws and regulations.
Voraussetzungen für den
Produkteinsatz
Allgemeine, stets zu beachtende Hin-
weise für den ordnungsgemäßen und si-
cheren Einsatz des Produkts:
•Vergleichen Sie die angegebenen
Grenzwerte mit Ihrem aktuellen Einsatz-
fall.
Die zulässigen Grenzwerte, z.B. für
Drücke, Temperaturen und Momente
dürfen nicht überschritten werden.
•Sorgen Sie für ordnungsgemäß aufberei-
tete Druckluft.
•Beachten Sie die Vorschriften der Be-
rufsgenossenschaft, des Technischen
Überwachungsvereins oder entsprechen-
de nationale Bestimmungen.

•Remove all packaging such as pro-
tective wax, foils and caps (except
the sealing elements of the pneuma-
tic connections).
The individual materials can be
disposed of in recycling containers.
•Slowly pressurize your complete sy-
stem.
In this way you can avoid uncon-
trolled movements.
•Use the product in its original form.
Unauthorized product modification is
not permitted.
Fitting
mechanical
•Ensure that there is sufficient space
for the pneumatic connections and
for replacing the shock absorber.
•Entfernen Sie alle Transportvorkehrun-
gen wie Schutzwachs, Folien, Kartona-
gen und Kappen (mit Ausnahme der
Verschlußelemente in den pneumati-
schen Anschlüssen).
Die Entsorgung der einzelnen Werk-
stoffe in Recycling-Sammelbehälter
ist möglich.
•Belüften Sie Ihre gesamte Anlage lang-
sam.
Dann treten keine unkontrollierten
Bewegungen auf.
•Verwenden Sie das Produkt ohne jegli-
che eigenmächtige Veränderung.
Einbau

•Achten Sie auf genügend Platz für die
pneumatischen Anschlüsse und einen
Stoßdämpferwechsel.

Zur Ausrichtung des STAF-...-P-A-K:
•Stellen Sie sicher, daß folgende Punkte
eingehalten werden:
- Fördergut prallt auf die Rolle des
Rollenkipphebels.
- Transportrichtung des Förderguts
exakt senkrecht zum Rollenkipp-
hebel & .
Schräg auftreffendes Fördergut ver-
kürzt die Lebensdauer des STAF-...-
P-A-K.
•Plazieren Sie den Stopperzylinder so,
daß die Flanschoberseite folgenden Ab-
stand X zum Fördergut hat.

•Befestigen Sie den Anschlußflansch des
STAF-...-P-A-K mit vier Schrauben.
When fitting the STAF-...-P-A-K,
•ensure that the following points are
observed:
- the moving load must strike the
roller of the toggle lever.
- the direction of transport must be
exactly vertical to the roller toggle
lever & .
If the moving load strikes the lever at
an angle, the service life of the
STAF-...-P-A-K will be reduced.
•Place the stopper cylinder so that
the top of the flange is the following

Inbetriebnahme
•Stellen Sie sicher, daß niemand in die
Bewegungsrichtung des STAF-... faßt.
•Belüften Sie Ihre gesamte Anlage lang-
sam mit mindestens 1,5 bar
(bei STAF-80-...: min. 1 bar).
Nur so ist eine sichere Funktion ge-
währleistet.

Commissioning
•Make sure that nobody can place
his/her hand in the direction of move-
ment of the STAF-....
•Slowly pressurize the complete
system with at least 1.5 bar
(with STAF-80-... at least 1 bar).
Only in this way can reliable operati-
on be guaranteed.

•Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Durchdrück-
kraft F, die den Kipphebel nach dem
Aufprall bis in die Endlage drückt, die mi-
nimalen Werte nicht unterschreitet (sie-
he ’Technische Daten’).
Sonst besteht die Gefahr, dass die
Endlage nicht sicher erreicht wird
oder das Durchdrücken lange dauert.
•Starten Sie einen Probelauf wie folgt:
