Thesubmersiblewaterpumphasashock-
resistantplasticcasing.
Ithasacoolingjacket,throughwhichthe
pumpedwaterowsaroundthemotorto
thepumpoutlet.Thepumpisttedwitha
oatswitch,whichautomaticallyswitches
theequipmentonoroff.
Inaddition,thepumpalsohasabackow
stopthatpreventswaterfromowingback,
forexampleduringaninterruptioninthe
powersupply.

• Beforeoperatingyournewpump,have
aspecialistcheck:
- Theearthing,theprotectivemultiple
earthing;theresidualcurrentcircuit
breakingmustbecompliantwiththe
safetyregulationsoftheenergysup-
plycompanyandfunctionwithout
fault.



To mount the oat switch
height adjustment
 Loosenthescrewoftheoatswitch
heightadjustment(5)andpushthe
adjustmentovertheoatswitch
guideway(4).Checkthattheoat
switchcable(3)movesupward
(arrow topointup)(see„Opera-
tion“).
To t the cable holder
 Pushthecableholder(16)fromthe
packageallthewayintotheguide-
wayatthebackofthepumpcasing
(12).
Start-up
Connection of the pressure
line
Theinstallationofthesubmersiblewater
pumpisimplementedeither
- withxedpipeor
- withexiblehoseline
 • Ifusinga½”hose,attachthe
hoseoverthepump’shosecon-
nection(13)andfastenitwitha
hoseclampifnecessary.
 • Tousea¾”,1“or1½”hose,
cutofftheconnectionaboveand
attachthehoseoverthecorrect
connection.
 • Touseatapadaptor(G1“)to
connectexternalhoseconnec-
tionsystems,cutoffthetwotop
connectionsdirectlyabovethe
G1“tubethread.
- Theprotectionoftheelectricalplug
connectionsfromthewet.
- Ifthereisariskofooding,xthe
plugconnectionsinanareathatis
safefromooding.
• Ensurethatthemainsvoltagematches
thespecicationsontheratingplate.
• Theelectricalinstallationshallbeac-
cordingtonationalwiringrules.
• Thedevicemustonlybeconnectedtoa
mainssocketviaaresidual-currentcir-
cuitbreaker(RCD)witharatedleakage
currentofnotmorethan30mA.Fuse:
atleast6ampere.
• Beforeeachuse,checktheequipment,
cableandplugfordamage.
• Ifthesupplycordisdamaged,itmust
bereplacedbythemanufactureorits
serviceagentorasimilarlyqualied
personinordertoavoidahazard.
 Thesupplycordmustbe10mlong.
• Donotpulltheplugfromthesocketby
thecable.Protectthecablefromheat,
oilandsharpedges.
• Donotcarryorxtheequipmentbythe
cable.
• Useonlyextensioncablesthatarepro-
tectedfromspraywateranddesigned
foroutdooruse.Alwaysfullyunrolla
cabledrumbeforeuse.Checkthecable
fordamage.
• Beforeanyworkontheequipment,dur-
ingworkbreaksandinthecaseofnon-
use,removetheplugfromthesocket.
Assembly
To screw-on the adapter
 Screwtheangleadapter(15)and
theadapterwiththehoseattachment
(13)ontothepumpoutlet(11).



 Measurementofmaximumoutput
datatakesplaceduringdirect,
straightpumping.Theangleadapt-
er( 15)andthebackowstop-
per( 14)mayreduceoutput.
Toincreasepumpoutput,thebackow
stopper(14)maybetakenoutoftheangle
adapter(15)(see “replacingbackow
stopper”).Thisisparticularlyrecom-
mendedforhoseconnectionssmallerthan
1“.Pleasebearinmindthatthewatermay
thenowbackduringpumping,orinthe
eventofapowercut.
To set the suction level
Thepumpcansuckupresidualwater
downtoaheightofafewmillimetres.The
residualwaterlevelcanbesetat4suction
levelsfrom1mmto8mm.
Choosethehighestsuctionlevel(8mm)for
normaloperation.
Chooseasuctionlevelbetween1mmand
5mmforatsuction,dependingonhow
dirtythewateris.
Flatsuctiondownto1mmisrecommend-
edforclean,clearwateronly.
Themoresuspendedmatterthereis,the
higherthesuctionlevelshouldbe.
Thiswillpreventthewaterinletsonthe
rotarydisc( 8)fromclogginguptoo
quickly
 Ondelivery,thepumpissettoa
residualwaterlevelof1mm(at
suction).
1. Holdtheroundhandleofthe
rotarydisk(7)ontheoorofthe
base(10)andpullouttherotary
disk(8).
 2. Turntheroundhandle(8)tothe
rightortotheleftuntilitreaches
thedesiredclearanceposition
(seethearrowmarking(9)on
therotarydisk).
  Thefoursuctionlevelsarela-
belledwithaheightscaleonthe
base(10)andrepeated.
 Theresidualwaterlevelof1mm
(atsuction)isattainedonlyin
manualmode,astheoatswitch
switchesthepumpoffearlierinau-
tomaticmode(see“Operation”).
To erect / suspend
Thepumpshaftshouldhavethedimen-
sions40x40x50cmatleast,sothatthe
oatswitchcanmovefreely.
 Thepumpcanbeerectedorsus-
pendedinthewater.
 Thecord( 17)containedinthe
deliverycontentsmaybeusedto
suspendand/orextractthepump.
Fixthecord(17)totheholesinthe
carryinghandle(2).
 




 Notethat,overtime,dirtandsand
maycollectonthebottomofthe
shaft,whichcoulddamagethe
pump.Ifthewaterlevelistoolow,
thesiltintheshaftcanquicklydry
outandimpedethepumpwhen
warmingup.



Controls before operational
start-up
• Checkthattheoatswitchis
working(seechapter:“Opera-
tion–Automaticmode“).
• Checkthatthepumpisresting
onthepitbase
 • Checkthatthepressurelinehas
beenattachedproperly
 • Checktheproperstatusofthe
electricalplugsocketandmake
surethattheplugsocketissuf-
cientlyfused(atleast6A).In-
sertthepumpplugintotheplug
socketandthepumpisreadyfor
operation.
 • Makesurethatmoistureorwater
nevercomeincontactwiththe
mainsconnection.Thereisarisk
ofelectrocution.
Operation
Mains connection
Thesubmersiblewaterpumpacquiredby
youisalreadyprovidedwithangrounded
plug.Thepumpisdesignedforconnection
toangroundedsocketwith230V~50Hz.
 Onlystarttooperatethedevice
afteralltheaboveconditionshave
beenobserved.
Switching on and off
1. Insertthepluginthesocket.Thepump
startsworkingimmediately.
2. Toswitchoff,withdrawtheplugfrom
thesocket.Thepumpstops.
 Ifthewaterlevelistoolow,the
oatswitchwillautomatically
switchoffthepump.
 Supervisetheappliancewhileitis
inoperationinordertobeimmedi-
atelyawareiftheautomaticcut-out
operatesorthepumprunsdry,to
limitanydamagetoaminimum.
Automatic mode
Inautomaticmode,theoatswitchauto-
maticallyswitchesthepumponoroff.
 Inthecaseofstationaryinstallation,
checkregularly(nolessthenonce
everythreemonths)thattheoat
switch(10)isworking.
TheOn/Offswitchpointoftheoatswitch
(6)isinnitelyvariable:
 Loosenthescrewintheoatswitch
heightadjustment(5)andmoveit
tothedesiredposition.
 Checktheoatswitch(6).
 - Itmustbepositionedsothatit
canliftandlowerfreely.The
switchingpointheights“On”
and“Off”mustbeeasyto
reach.
  Checkthisbyplacingthepump
intoavessellledwithwater
andlifttheoatswitch(6)care-
fullybyhandandthenlowerit
again.Inthiscase,youcansee
whetherthepumpswitcheson
andoff.
 - Alsoensurethattheseparation
distancebetweentheoatswitch
(6)headandtheoatswitch
heightadjustment(5)isnottoo
