This manual provides critical safety instructions on the proper setup,
operation, maintenance, and service of this machine/tool. Save this
document, refer to it often, and use it to instruct other operators.
Failure to read, understand and follow the instructions in this manual
may result in fire or serious personal injury—including amputation,
electrocution, or death.
The owner of this machine/tool is solely responsible for its safe use.
This responsibility includes but is not limited to proper installation in
a safe environment, personnel training and usage authorization,
proper inspection and maintenance, manual availability and compre-
hension, application of safety devices, cutting/sanding/grinding tool
integrity, and the usage of personal protective equipment.

Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and
other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State
of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive
harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:
• Lead from lead-based paints.
• Crystalline silica from bricks, cement and other masonry products.
• Arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you
do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals:
Work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equip-
ment, such as those dust masks that are specially designed to filter
out microscopic particles.

Components
To reduce your risk of
serious injury, read this
entire manual BEFORE
using machine.
Refer to the following figures and descriptions to
become familiar with the basic controls and com-
ponents of this machine. Understanding these
items and how they work will help you understand
the rest of the manual and minimize your risk of
injury when operating this machine.
Control Panel
F. Glue Spindle ON Button: Turns glue spindle
motor ON (see Page 6).
G. Glue Spindle OFF Button: Turns glue spin-
dle motor OFF (see Page 6).
H. Panel Feeder ON Button: Turns panel feed-
er conveyor motor ON (see Page 9).
I. Panel Feeder OFF Button: Turns panel
feeder conveyor motor OFF (see Page 9).
J. Flush Trimmer ON Button: Turns flush trim-
mer motor ON (see Page 8).
K. Flush Trimmer OFF Button: Turns flush
trimmer motor OFF (see Page 8).
L. Emergency Stop/Reset Button: Stops all
machine functions except for glue pot heat
cycle. Twist clockwise to reset.
M. Glue Pot ON/OFF Switch: Turns glue pot
heater ON and OFF (see Page 6).
N. Coil Support Assembly: Supports edge-
banding coil during operation.
O. Adjustable Guide Rollers (4): Holds edge-
banding coil in place during operation. Adjust
as needed according to size of coil.

A. Thermoregulator Display: Displays actual
and set temperatures of glue pot.
B. Temperature SET Key: Saves temperature
setting after user input from Temperature UP/
DOWN key(s).
C. Thermoregulator Function Key: Only used
for initial factory programming of thermoregu-
lator. Not intended for end-user adjustment.
Qualified service personnel only!
D. Temperature DOWN Key: Incrementally
lowers temperature of glue pot when pressed.
E. Temperature UP Key: Incrementally raises
temperature of glue pot when pressed.

P. Edgebanding Coil Guillotine: Severs trail-
ing end of edgebanding from roll.
Q. Edgebanding Coil Limit Switch: Activates
edgebanding coil guillotine.
— When leading edge of workpiece triggers
switch, end trimmer guillotine activates
and moves into cut position.
— When trailing end of workpiece passes
over and releases switch, edgebanding
coil guillotine activates and blade severs
edgebanding from roll.

Glue System
R. Glue Flow Adjustment Knob: Rotate coun-
terclockwise to increase glue flow; rotate
clockwise to decrease glue flow.
S. Glue Spindle: Applies melted glue to
workpiece edge.
T. Glue Spindle Adjustment Knob: Rotate
counterclockwise to move spindle closer to
workpiece; rotate clockwise to move glue
spindle farther away.
U. Glue Pot w/Lid: Stores and heats glue for
bonding edgebanding to workpiece. Remove
lid to inspect glue pot or to add glue. Leave
closed during operations.

Rear
V. Stationary Pressure Roller: Presses edge-
banding against workpiece after glue is
applied. Position is not adjustable.
W. Adjustable Pressure Roller: Presses edge-
banding against workpiece after glue is
applied. Position can be adjusted to increase
or decrease pressure as necessary (refer to
Page 55 for more information).
X. Adjustable Pressure Roller Jam Nut:
Loosen to rotate adjustable pressure roller
bolt. Tighten to secure setting.
Y. Adjustable Pressure Roller Bolt: Loosen
to increase pressure of adjustable pressure
roller against edgebanding and workpiece.
Tighten to decrease pressure.

Pneumatic End Trimmer Guillotine
Z. End Trimmer Guillotine: Severs leading
and trailing ends of glued edgebanding.
AA. End Trimmer Limit Switches: Activate end
trimmer guillotine.
— When leading edge of workpiece triggers
first switch, end trimmer guillotine acti-
vates and right blade severs leading end
of glued edgebanding.
— When leading edge of workpiece triggers
second switch, end trimmer guillotine acti-
vates and moves out of cut position.
— When trailing edge of workpiece passes
over and releases first switch, end trimmer
guillotine activates, moves into cut posi-
tion, and left blade severs trailing end of
glued edgebanding.

AE. Flush Trimmer Axial Indicators (Upper
and Lower): Displays numerical distance of
flush trimmer cutters from workpiece edge in
millimeters.
AF. Flush Trimmer Axial Adjustment Knobs
(Upper and Lower): Rotate counterclock-
wise to move flush trimmer cutters closer to
workpiece edge; rotates clockwise to move
cutters farther away.
Note: For best results, always adjust upper
and lower flush trimmer cutters equally.

AB. Adjustable Flush Trimmer Tracer:
Guides upper flush trimmer cutter. Height
adjusts simultaneously with panel feeder
elevation adjustment (see Page 9 for more
information).
AC. Stationary Flush Trimmer Tracer: Guides
lower flush trimmer cutter.
AD. Flush Trimmer Cutters (Upper and Lower):
Rotates at approximately 10,000 RPM and
trims height of glued edgebanding, making it
flush with top and bottom of workpiece.
