OPERATION ______________________________
Preparation
1 Remove all packaging materials, labels and
protective foil and dispose of them according
to the applicable legal regulations.
2 Clean the outer parts of the appliance as de-
scribed in the section “Cleaning and care“.
3 Place the appliance on an even, stable, dry
and non-slip surface.
Notes
7 During the first use, a light odour may arise from
the iron. This ceases after a couple of uses.
7 The “CLICK” sound you hear during ironing, is
because of the anti-drip feature of your appli-
ance. This is a normal sound.
7 In order to generate steam, the soleplate D
of your iron has to rise to a certain level of tem-
perature. By means of the “anti-drip” feature of
your iron, water dripping from the soleplate D
of the iron shall be prevented until the soleplate
attains the temperature required.
7 Your product is intended for use with tap water.
If your tap water is excessively limy, we recom-
mend to use a mixture of tap water with purified
water. Prior to ironing for the first time fill twice
and vaporize. Meanwhile, use the steam burst
G frequently. In this way, both the steam perfor-
mance will improve and also the dust particles
which might have penetrated through the steam
channels will be cleaned up.
7 If water runs out during ironing, you can top
up water without waiting for the appliance to
cool down. But do not forget to unplug it before
topping up.
7 When spray does not squirt water, in order to
eliminate any possible blocking, close the spray
hole with your finger and press on the spray
button several times.
Caution
7 When your iron is filled with excessive water,
it may overflow. To avoid this, when you hold
your iron horizontally, make sure that the level
of water in the appliance does not exceed the
MAX. line.
Dry ironing
1 Set the steam setting knob I to the “ ” posi-
tion.
Caution
7 Always read the care label on your garment
before setting the temperature.
2 Set the required ironing temperature. Do not
press the steam burst button during dry ironing.
3 After ironing let the appliance cool down in a
location that is safely out of reach of children.
Filling in the water tank
1 Always unplug the appliance. Set the steam
setting knob to “ ” position.
2 Open the water refill lid F on the iron. Use the
pouring cup to fill the water tank up to the MAX
level. Fill the water without removing the water
filter under the lid.
3 Close the water refill lid F.
Note
7 Even when ironing garments without steam;
water should be available in the appliance in
order to use the water spray E.
7 Do not fill the water tank with perfume, vinegar,
laundry starch, lime removers or other products
or chemicals which shall facilitate the ironing
process.
7 If your tap water is excessively limy, we recom-
mend to use a mixture of tap water with purified
water.
Setting the temperature
7 After plugging in the iron, set required ironing
temperature by turning the temperature setting
dial B to the appropriate position (see the tem-
perature and steam settings table below).
7 The temperature of your appliance can be in-
creased by turning the temperature setting dial
B clockwise. For steam ironing temperature
setting dial B should be in the range which is
restricted with the steam mark.

10 ENGLISH
When setting the temperature of your appliance,
we recommend to consider the following table.
Fabric
Type
Temperature
Setting
Steam
Setting
Synthetic •Without steam
Silk •Without steam
Wool •• Steam
Cotton ••• Steam
Linen -
Jeans MAX Steam
4 In order to learn the ironing temperature to be
used, check the garment’s care label.
5 If you don’t know the fabric of your garment,
first iron a part that is not visible and determine
a correct ironing temperature for it.
6 In order to prevent shiny stains that may form
on synthetic fabrics or silk, iron on the reverse
side of the fabric. Do not use the spray function
in order to prevent the stain formation.
Steam ironing
1 Set the desired steam level by pushing the
steam setting knob I.
2 Set the required ironing temperature (see chap-
ter “Setting the temperature”). Make sure that
the temperature setting dial B is within the
range marked with the steam mark. When the
thermostat warning light J turns off, the sole-
plate temperature has reached the level to gen-
erate steam.
Vertical steam ironing
Note
7 Vertical steam ironing can be applied to hang-
ing curtains or clothes (suits, jackets and coats).
Caution
7 Never direct the steam at people or pets.
1 Set the desired steam level by pushing the
steam setting knob I.
2 Hold the iron in a vertical position and press
the steam burst button G to steam iron your cur-
tains and your garments on the hanger.
Steam burst
1 During ironing, in order to remove the tena-
cious creases, you can gain strong steam by
pressing on the steam burst button G for 3-4
times with 5-second intervals.
2 When you start to iron, steam burst may not
emit in your first couple of presses. In order to
gain steam burst, the temperature setting dial
G should be at •• or a higher level.
3 You can iron the creased parts of the garments
with the steam power which is obtained by
pressing the steam burst button G during steam
ironing. However if this process is maintained
without an interruption, water may also come
from the iron soleplate D along with the steam.
Water spray
1 Make sure there is sufficient water in the water
tank. Spray function can be used in order to re-
move tenacious creases by pressing the spray
button H during dry or steam ironing.

11ENGLISH
Lime removing feature
(Self-Clean)
It minimizes the lime particles accumulated in the
steam reservoir of your iron.
Use the self-clean feature once in every 2 to 3
weeks. If the water in your region is very hard (if
lime particles fall down from the soleplate of the
appliance), we recommend to use the self-clean
function more frequently.
1 Unplug your iron.
2 Fill in the water tank up to MAX level.
3 Push the steam adjustment knob to the “ ”
position.
4 Plug in the appliance to a grounded wall socket
and set the temperature setting dial to MAX.
5 Unplug the iron when the thermostat warning
light J turns off.
6 Hold the iron over the sink, press and hold the
self clean button C and gently shake the iron.
During this process, the water in the water tank
comes down into the steam generation reservoir
quickly and is released through the soleplate
holes along with the lime particles (if any).
7 When the entire amount of water is discharged
from the tank, release the self clean button C. If
the iron still contains impurities, repeat this pro-
cess.
8 After the lime removal process is completed;
plug in the iron and make sure that the iron
soleplate is heated. When the iron reaches
to the adjusted ironing temperature, unplug
the appliance and gently iron on an old cloth.
Keep ironing until the water and lime stains left
on the soleplate are removed. Wait until the
iron cools down before storing it.
Caution
7 Do not add vinegar etc. and other lime remov-
ing substances into the water tank.
Lime protection system
(Anti-Calc)
The lime protection system in the water tank of
your iron prevents clogging of the steam holes.
Lime protection system is always active and there
is no need to replace it.
Automatic shutdown
The 3-way safety shutdown switches off the ap-
pliance automatically if the iron is left on the sole-
plate or on its side for 30 seconds, or is left in
the vertical position for 8 minutes without being
moved.
- The thermostat warning light J flashes to
show that the iron is switched off automati-
cally.
1 To reheat the iron, lift it up and move it gently.
The thermostat warning light J turns off.
2 When the temperature of the soleplate falls
under the set iron temperature, the thermostat
warning light J illuminates.
3 If the thermostat warning light J is illuminated
after moving the iron, wait until it turns off again
before starting to iron.
Note
7 If the thermostat warning light J is not illumi-
nated after moving the iron, the soleplate is
still at the required temperature and the iron is
ready to use.

Tips for ironing
7 Prior to ironing, always check the garment label
to ensure the correct temperature is set on the
iron.
7 Since the iron heats up much quicker than it
cools down, synthetic textiles, silk or similar fab-
rics should be ironed using lower temperature
settings first.
7 If the garment is made of combined types of
fabric, always begin with the lowest tempera-
ture setting first.
7 Silk and other textiles that tend to shine should
be ironed inside out. Velvet and other types of
fabric that shine should be ironed with very
little pressure and only in one direction. Always
keep moving the iron while ironing.
7 Do not use the steam function when ironing co-
loured silk. This could cause stains.
7 Garments made of 100% pure wool can be
ironed using steam. Set the temperature control
dial preferably to the MAX setting and lay a
dry towel between the garment and the iron.
7 Ironing wool garments can cause them to
'shine'. It is therefore recommended to iron such
garments inside out.
Caution
7 Never iron on metal parts, such as zippers,
rivets, or metal buttons as they could damage
the soleplate. Always iron around these metal
parts.
Cleaning and care
Caution
1 Turn off and unplug the appliance before each
cleaning process.
2 Wait until your iron cools down completely.
3 Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the outer
surface of the iron. Then wait until it dries com-
pletely.
4 Wipe the sediments and residues on the sole-
plate with a slightly damp cloth and soft, non-
abrasive liquid cleaner as necessary.
Caution
7 When you finished ironing, unplug the appli-
ance. Drain the water in the tank. You can drain
the water in the iron by opening the refill lid F,
tilting the iron to the front.
7 Never use gasoline, solvent and abrasive
cleaning agents or hard brushes to clean this
appliance.
Storage
If you do not intend to use the steam iron for a
long time, please store it carefully.
7 Make sure that the iron is unplugged and
cooled down completely before storing it.
7 Empty the water tank.
7 Please keep the steam iron and its accessories
in their original packages.
7 Store them in a cool and dry place.
7 Make sure that the appliance is stored in a
place out of the reach of children.
