With this manual you an safely use and maintain
( lean) the s ooter.
Follow the instructions in the warnin s! If the
instructions are not carefully followed, bodily
injury or dama e to the scooter or to the
environment may result.
Service and technical support
Conta t the manufa turer for information on erning
spe ifi adjustments, maintenan e or repair. Always
provide the type, year of manufa ture, and
identifi ation number, whi h appear on the
identifi ation plate of the s ooter.

Approval
The produ t meets the following requirements:
1. EN12182; 1999 Te hni al aids for disabled
persons.
2. EN12184; 1999 Ele tri ally powered wheel hairs
and s ooters, lass C.
3. ISO7176-8 Requirements for stati , impa t, and
fatigue strength.
4. ISO7176-9 Climate tests for ele tri wheel hairs
and s ooters.
5. ISO7176-14 Standards and test methods for
ontroller systems of ele tri ally-driven
wheel hairs.
6. ISO7176-16 Requirements for fire resistan e.
The produ t has been awarded EN 12184; 1999
ertifi ation for EMC (Ele tro Magneti
Compatibility).
CE declaration
The produ t meets the standards of the dire tive for
Medi al Devi es and is thus provided with the CE
marking.
Warranty conditions
The terms used in the warranty and liability
stipulations are defined as follows:
• Product: The hand-operated or ele tri wheel hair
or s ooter manufa tured and delivered by
Handi are.
• Customer: The person who dire tly obtains a
Produ t from Handi are or an authorised
representative.
• Dealer: The person who delivers a Produ t
obtained from Handi are to ustomers or third
parties.
• User: The person who uses a Produ t
manufa tured by Handi are.
Irrespe tive of what is determined on erning
warranty onditions appli able to the Produ t, in any
ase the following applies with regard to the
warranty:
1. Ex ept insofar as des ribed otherwise Handi are
guarantees the Produ t for its suitability for the
purpose for whi h the Produ t is intended - all of
these points as des ribed in this manual - and for
the quality of the material of whi h the Produ t is
made and the manner in whi h the Produ t is
manufa tured.
2. Repairs or repla ement of parts of the Produ t
that may be ne essary as a result of faults that
are based on qualitatively faulty material or
manufa turing errors will be exe uted free of
harge, as long as su h faults o urred within one
(1) year after the date of delivery of the Produ t to
the Customer. The parts to be repla ed must be
shipped postage-paid to Handi are. Installation or
removal of these parts is for the Customer’s
a ount. Therefore, the following ases are not
eligible for free repair or repla ement as meant
above:
• The repair or repla ement that is ne essary in
onne tion with faults that arise after one (1)
year after the date of delivery of the Produ t to
the Customer;
• The repair or repla ement that is required in
onne tion with faults due to improper or
areless use of the Produ t or that are based
on the Produ t being used for another purpose
than the one for whi h it is intended, in whi h
regard it applies that if the Customer is a
Dealer, this Dealer will indemnify Handi are
against possible laims from Users or other
third parties for faults based on an in orre t or
areless use of the Produ t;
• Parts that are subje t to wear, and the need
for repair or repla ement of the parts are the
a tual onsequen e of normal wear. These
an in lude, but are not limited to, tyres,
shrouds, arm-pads, seatings et .
3. Irrespe tive of that stipulated under 2, it applies
as far as an ele tri Produ t is on erned that
with regard to the battery that forms part of the
Produ t warranty is only given in ase of faults or
non-fun tioning of the battery that are
demonstrably the dire t onsequen e of material
or manufa turing errors. A fault or non-fun tioning
of the battery as a result of normal wear is not
overed by the warranty as meant in these
warranty stipulations. Similarly not overed by the
warranty are faults or non-fun tioning that are the
onsequen e of improper or unprofessional use of
the Produ t or the battery that is part of the
Produ t, in luding the in orre t harging of the
battery and the failure to arry out timely and
good maintenan e, in whi h ontext it also applies
that if the Customer is a Dealer, this Dealer will
indemnify Handi are against possible laims from
Users or other third parties that are based on the
above mentioned improper or unprofessional use
of the Produ t or the battery that is part of the
Produ t. Handi are does not guarantee batteries
provided by dealers or pur hased by the
ustomer.
4. The warranty onditions as mentioned in above
stipulations in any ase be ome null and void if:
• The guidelines of Handi are for the
maintenan e of the Produ t are not, or
insuffi iently, followed;
• A ne essary repair or repla ement of parts is
based on negle t, damage or abuse of the
Produ t or a use of the Produ t for another
purpose than the one for whi h it was
intended;
• Parts of the Produ t are repla ed by parts of
another origin than those used by Handi are
and/or parts of the Produ t are repla ed
without the permission of Handi are.

5. The warranties as mentioned in stipulations 1
through 3 also be ome null and void if what is
involved is re-used by a new user within the
warranty period and that su h re-use ne essitates
adaptations to the produ t and those adaptations
are arried out without the instru tions and/or at
the order of Handi are.
6. To retain rights under the warranties delineated
above, the Customer must, in ase of damage or
other alamities, as rapidly as possible onta t
Handi are and inform them as fully as possible.
The possibility of taking re ourse to the above-
mentioned warranty onditions be omes null and
void for the Customer in any ase after 20
workdays after the laim situation or the alamity
arises that was the reason for the re ourse to the
warranty.
7. The repla ement of a part or the repair or the
re onditioning of the Produ t within a urrent
warranty period does not extend the warranty
period.
8. Handi are gives no warranty on repair to or
re onditioning of the Produ t arried out other
than under order of and/or at the instru tions of
Handi are. If repairs and/or re onditioning are
exe uted by or on behalf of a Customer, the
Customer indemnifies Handi are with respe t to
the laims of third parties who result, in the
broadest sense of the word, from su h repairs or
re onditioning.
Statement of liability
Irrespe tive of what is determined regarding liability
in the general onditions appli able to the Produ t,
with regard to liability in any ase the following
applies:
A. Taking into onsideration the following
stipulations, Handi are only a epts liability for
loss due to death or physi al injury that is the
result of a defe t in the Produ t for whi h
Handi are is responsible and for damage to
another obje t that is the private property of the
user of the Produ t, as long as said loss is the
dire t result of a fault in the Produ t.
B. Handi are a epts no other or further liability
than delineated under 1. In parti ular Handi are
a epts no liability for onsequential damage,
in any form whatsoever.
Used scooters and the environment
If your s ooter is no longer needed or needs to be
repla ed, it an usually be taken ba k by your dealer.
If this is not possible, please onta t your lo al
authorities for the possibilities of re y ling or an
environmentally friendly way of disposing of the used
materials.
For the produ tion of the s ooter several plasti s and
metals have been used. The s ooter also ontains
ele troni omponents that must go to ele troni
waste. Used batteries belong to hemi al waste.

1 Safety
Handi are a epts no liability whatsoever for
damage or injury aused by the failure to
stri tly adhere to the safety guidelines or due
to arelessness during the use and leaning of
the s ooter and a essories. Depending on
the spe ifi operating ir umstan es or the
a essories used, additional safety
instru tions may be required. Please onta t
the manufa turer immediately if you observe
any potential danger during the use of the
produ t.
1.1 General
• The user of the scooter is at all times
fully responsible for the fulfilment of the
locally applicable safety re ulations and
uidelines.
• The technical specifications must not be
altered.
• Modifications to (parts of) the scooter
are not permitted.
1.2 Labels on the scooter
• The labels, symbols and instructions
placed on this scooter comprise part of
its safety provisions. They may not be
covered or removed. They must remain
attached and be clearly le ible
throu hout the entire life span of the
scooter.
• Immediately replace or repair ille ible or
dama ed labels, symbols and
instructions. Consult your dealer.
1.3 Operation
Drivin up a slope
• Never drive up a slope with an an le
reater than 14°.
• On slopes always drive slowly and with
reat awareness.
• Do not drive down slopes with loose
ravel or a sandy surface, because one
of the rear wheels mi ht slip.
• Avoid sudden and abrupt movements.
• Avoid chan in directions or turnin
around on a slope.
• Do not turn on a slope.
• If you notice a si nificant decrease in
speed when drivin on a slope, choose
a less steep route.
• If you drive on a slope too lon , this may
result in overheatin of the motor.
Drivin down a slope
• If you need to reverse down a slope, use
the lowest settin of the speed
controller and drive as slowly and
carefully as possible.
• It can be very dan erous to reverse
down a slope.
Corners
• Never take a turn at full speed. Decrease
speed when takin a turn.
• Use the turn indicators when chan in
direction.
Additional
• Drive carefully on roads that are slippery
as a result of rain, ice, or snow!
• Prevent the scooter from comin into
contact with sea water. Sea water is
caustic and may dama e the scooter.
• Prevent the scooter from comin into
contact with sand. Sand can affect the
movin parts of the scooter, resultin in
unnecessary, rapid wear.
• You must not operate the scooter when
you are under the influence of dru s,
alcohol or medication that could affect
your drivin ability.
• You must have sufficient visual acuity to
be able to safely drive the scooter.
• It is imperative to turn on the li hts in
situations with reduced visibility.
• When drivin at a hi h speed, you need
to be extra careful. Use a lower speed on
sidewalks and in pedestrian areas.
• Be sure that no items of clothin han
loose. These could become cau ht
between the wheels.
1.4 Electronic precautions
• The standard version of your s ooter was
tested a ording to the stri test EMC
requirements. Mobile telephones have no
influen e on the driving behaviour of the
s ooter.
When using a mobile telephone in the

vi inity of a s ooter with spe ial adaptations,
you must first swit h off the s ooter.
• Your s ooter may influen e ele tromagneti
fields su h as alarm systems.
• If the ele troni s of the s ooter are not
properly shielded, this may affe t sensitive
ele tri al applian es, su h as shop alarms
and garage openers. The s ooter has been
tested for this. Should any problems of this
nature o ur, please report these to the
manufa turer immediately.

2 General description
2.1 Description of the Trophy
The Trophy is an ele tri ally driven s ooter for
use outside, for longer distan es. The unique
suspension, stability, and manoeuvrability
provide ex ellent drivability and maximum
omfort. The numerous adjustments allow the
Trophy to be onfigured to you needs so that
a relaxed position of the hands and shoulders
is assured. The well-organised ontrol panel
an be operated with a light tou h of the left or
right hand. The Trophy is the s ooter of
hoi e for maximum independen e!
The Trophy has been designed for:
• Transport of persons with a weight of up to
160 kg.
• Use on paved roads, sidewalks, footways,
and bike-ways.
• Use in and around the house.
The s ooter is not onsidered a motorised
vehi le for traffi regulations.
The Trophy has a maximum speed of 15
km/h.
If you use the s ooter for other purposes than
those for whi h it is intended, Handi are
a epts no liability whatsoever for damage or
injury resulting from su h use other than that
for whi h the s ooter was developed and
designed.
You must be familiar with the contents of
this manual before you be in to use the
scooter.

2.4 Software version identification
Software versions an be identified by the number whi h appears in the display when the Trophy is turned on.
2.5 Functionality and connections in software version 0.20 and lower
Software versions up to 0.20 provide basi fun tionality. This makes it possible to fit the Trophy with either one foot
throttle, one hand throttle or two hand throttles.
See page 22 for diagram.
A combination of foot throttle and fin er control is not possible.
Any uarantee on the Trophy is invalidated by the third-party fittin of electronic circuits, other than
as described below, which interfere with the fin er control or foot throttle si nal.

2.6 For otten lock combination
If the ombination for the lo k on the basket is
forgotten, it an be re overed in the following
manner.
A. Use an awl to press gently on the red
button (A) of the lo k housing (C).
C. Use an awl to remove the over (B) of the
lo k housing (C).
D. Turn the number wheels until the grooves
on the shafts are in alignment.
Work arefully to prevent eje tion of the
internal parts from the housing!
The ode an now be read from the lo k.
E. Pla e the over on the lo k housing: first
press the ends into the housing and then
the middle.
F. Install the red button (A), if the original
ombination will be used again.
2.7 Chan in lock combination
The ombination for the lo k on the basket an
be hanged in the following manner:
A. Use an awl to press gently on the red
button (A) of the lo k housing (C).
B. Move the button that omes loose (D) in
the dire tion of the wheels.
C. Hold the button in this position and set the
wheels to your personal ode.
D. Remember this ode.
E. Release the button. Your ode is set.
F. Install the red button (A). The new ode is
set.

3 Maintenance
3.1 Maintenance table
Time Description
Daily Load batteries after every use.

3.2 Char in the batteries
Check the manual for the battery charger.
With normal use, the batteries must be
re harged every night.
A. Swit h off the s ooter.
B. Put the plug of the harging able into the
harging onne tion. See 2.6.
C. Put the plug of the battery harger into the
wall so ket of the mains power supply.
When the batteries are harged:
A. Take the plug from the harging onne tion.
B. Take the plug of the battery harger from
the wall so ket of the mains power supply.
• The operation of the scooter is switched
off as soon as the plu of the char in
cable is connected to the char in
connection.
• Always remove the char in cable when
the batteries are char ed. This way, you
prevent the batteries from slowly
depletin themselves.
3.3 Battery maintenance
Refer to the instructions for the batteries.
• Make sure that the batteries are always
well char ed.
• Never use the scooter if the batteries are
almost depleted, and never allow the
batteries to become completely
depleted. This can cause serious
dama e to the batteries and you run the
risk of comin to an unintended
standstill.
Cleanin the batteries
Keep the batteries lean and dry. Dirt and
water may ause a urrent leak, redu ing the
apa ity of the batteries. Coat the terminals
with a id-free Vaseline after leaning.
Repla ing the batteries
If the apa ity of the batteries is redu ed to the
extent that the s ooter an only make very
short trips, the batteries are at the end of their
life span. The batteries must then be repla ed.
3.4 Checkin and fillin the tyres
• Make sure to maintain the correct tyre
pressure.
• Never exceed the indicated tyre
pressure.
Fill the tyres with a foot pump or a bi y le
pump. Use the supplied adapter. You an also
have the tyres filled at a petrol station.
• Tyre pressure front wheel: 2.4 bar
• Tyre pressure ba k wheel: 2.2 bar

4 Troubleshootin
4.1 Troubleshootin list
If the s ooter doesn’t fun tion, while the
batteries are fully harged, he k the following
points.
A. Set the s ooter off and then on again.
Che k if the problem is solved.
B. Che k if all the battery onne tors are
properly atta hed and firmly onne ted.
C. Che k whether the neutral handle is in the
D RIVE position.
D. Make sure the position of the speed
ontroller has not hanged.
E. If there is a problem, the lights of the
battery ondition meter flash. Use the table
below to determine the ause of the
problem.

The first red LED of the LED bar is
lit ontinuously.
The batteries require harging or
there is a poor onne tion to the
batteries.
Che k all onne tions between the
ontrollers and the batteries. If the
onne tions are OK, try re harging
the batteries.
The first red LED of the LED bar is
lit for 2 se onds, then the
omplete LED bar flashes on e
every 5 se onds.
The batteries are being harged. Dis onne t the battery harger from
the s ooter.
Two LEDs of the LED bar are lit. There is a poor onne tion to the
motor.
Che k all onne tions between the
ontroller and the motor.
Three LEDs of the LED bar are lit.
There is a short ir uit in the
motor.
Che k the motor ables or repla e
the motor.
Four LEDs of the LED bar are lit. The neutral handle is in the
neutral position.
Put the neutral handle in the drive

The throttle was held in during
start up.
Restart the s ooter without pressing
the throttle
Eight LEDs of the LED bar are lit. The ontroller is malfun tioning. Repla e the ontroller.

the brake and the ontroller.
• Repla e the brake.
Ten LEDs of the LED bar are lit. The battery is malfun tioning. • Che k the onne tions between
the batteries and the ontroller.
