SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, install or operate the product. If you
have any questions regarding the product, please call customer service at 1-800-527-1292, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.,
CST, Monday-Friday.
1. Before you begin installing the fan, disconnect the power by removing fuses or turning off circuit breakers
.
2. CAUTION: Read all instructions and safety information before installing your new fan. Review the
accompanying assembly diagrams.
3. Make sure that all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, or the National Electrical Code.
Hire a qualified electrician or consult a Do-It-Yourself wiring handbook if you are unfamiliar with installing
electrical wiring.
4. Make sure the installation site you choose allows a minimum clearance of 10 feet from the blades to the floor
and at least 30 in. from the end of the blades to any obstruction.
5. If you are mounting the fan to a ceiling outlet box, use a METAL octagonal outlet box. Secure the box directly to
the building structure. The outlet box and its support must be able to support the moving weight of the fan (at
least 35 lbs.). Do NOT use a plastic outlet box.
6. After you install the fan, make sure that all connections are secure to prevent the fan from falling.
7. Instructions for supply connections: conductor of a fan identified as grounded conductor to be connected to a
grounded conductor of power supply; conductor of a fan identified for equipment grounding to be connected to
an equipment-grounding conductor.
8. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, wire connectors provided with
this fan are designed to accept only one 12 gauge house wire and two lead wires from the fan. If your house
wire is larger than 12 gauge or there is more than one house wire to connect to the two fan lead wires, consult
an electrician for the proper size wire connectors to use.
9. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with a variable speed switch.

1. Turn off circuit breakers and wall switch to the fan supply line
leads. [Fig. 1]
Warning: Failure to disconnect power supply prior to
installation may result in serious injury or death.
4. Secure mounting bracket (A) to outlet box using screws, spring
washers, and flat washers (size 8 or M5) provided with the outlet
box. [Fig. 4]
*Note: It is very important that you use the proper hardware when
installing the mounting bracket (A) as this will support the fan.
Please make certain that you purchase any hardware that is
missing in order to install the mounting bracket (A) properly.
3. Check to make sure blades (D) are at least 30 in. from any
obstruction. Also check to ensure that blades (D) are at least 10 ft.
above the floor. [Fig. 3]
5. Loosen canopy set screw and lower canopy to expose hanging
bar. [Fig. 5]
PREPARATION
1. Before beginning assembly and installation of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with
"Package Contents" list and diagrams on the previous page. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to
assemble, install or operate the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts as indicated at the bottom
of page 4.
Estimated Assembly Time: 120 minutes
Tools Required for Assembly (not included):electrical tape, Phillips screwdriver, pliers, safety glasses, stepladder
and wire strippers
Helpful Tools (not included):tape measure, do-it-yourself-guide and wire cutters
2. After opening top of carton, remove mounting hardware package from foam inserts. Remove motor from packing
and place on carpet or on foam to avoid damage to finish.
CAUTION: Carefully check all screws, bolts and nuts on fan motor assembly to ensure that they are secured.
WARNING: When using an existing outlet box, make sure the box is securely attached to the building
structure and can support the full weight of the fan. Failure to do this can result in serious injury or death.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or
personal injury, wire connectors provided with this fan are designed
to accept only one 12 gauge house wire and two lead wires from
the fan. If your house wire is larger than 12 gauge or there is more
than one house wire to connect to the two fan lead wires, consult
an electrician for the proper size wire connectors to use.
Important: Be sure wiring box is properly grounded or that a
ground (green or bare) wire is present.
Warning: If house wires are different colors than referred to
in the following steps, stop immediately. A professional electrician
is recommended to determine wiring.
7. Separate electrical wiring and safety cable (H) from rubber band.
Lift fan to mounting bracket (A) and slide rubber bushing over J-hook
on mounting bracket (A). [Fig. 7]

6. Adjust safety cable (H) length by loosening screw and nut on the
safety cable vice (I) and pulling on the safety cable (H). Adjust slack
in cable to a hands length and tighten vice (I) screw and nut
securely. The loop at the end of the safety cable (H) should just fit
over the threads on the wood screw. [Fig. 6] Test safety cable (H) by
pulling on loose end with pliers. If the safety cable (H) slips, then
vice (I) screw and nut must be set tighter.

1. Find a secure attachment point (wood ceiling joist highly
recommended) and secure safety cable (H). It will be necessary to
use a heavy duty wood screw, washer and lock washer (not
supplied) with the safety cable loop. [Fig. 1] Extra cable slack can
be left in ceiling area.
Make the following electrical connections: (Make special note of
Step 2 on the following page while wiring.)
Connect WHITE wire from fan to WHITE wire from ceiling. Connect
BLACK wire from fan to BLACK wire from ceiling. Connect GREEN
wire from fan to BARE/GREEN wire from ceiling. Make sure that all
connections are secure using wire connectors (G) provided. [Fig. 1]

1. Remove existing wall switch and save the screws. Unscrew
screw on top and bottom of the wall control (B) and remove back
plate from wall control (B). Secure back plate to wall or structure
with screws from existing wall switch. [Fig. 1]
Make the following electrical connections: (Make special note of
Step 2 below while wiring.)
Connect BLACK wire from wall control to BLACK (AC TO FAN)
wire from wall. Connect BLACK wire from wall control to BLACK
(AC IN) wire from wall. [Fig. 1]

3. Screw wire connectors (G) on in a clockwise direction. Wrap
electrical tape around each individual wire connector (G) down to the
wire as shown in Fig. 3.
Warning: Make sure no bare wire or wire strands are visible
after making connections. Place green and white connections on
opposite side of box from the black and blue (if applicable) connections.
Turn spliced/taped wires upward and gently push wires and wire
connectors (G) into outlet box.

3. Screw wire connectors (G) on in a clockwise direction. Wrap
electrical tape around each individual wire connector (G) down to
the wire as shown in Fig. 3.
Warning: Make sure no bare wire or wire strands are visible
after making connections.
Turn spliced/taped wires in toward wall and gently push wires and
wire connectors (G) into outlet box.

4. Attach wall control (B) to back plate using screws that were
previously removed. [Fig. 4]

2. Strip 3/4 of an inch of insulation from ends of white wire. Twist
stripped ends of each strand of wire within the insulation with pliers.
[Fig. 2] Snip ends after twisting strands together. Repeat for black, blue
(if applicable) and green wires.

FINAL INSTALLATION
2. Locate and remove one pair of motor screws (E), lock washers
(F) and flat washers (J) from top of motor but leave black rubber
cushion intact. Lower one of the blades (D) over black rubber
cushion and attach blade (D) with screws (E), lock washers (F) and
flat washers (J) that were just removed. Tighten screws (E)
securely. [Fig. 2] Skip the screw end with the nut in the top of the
motor (see Note below) and then remove the next pair of motor
screws (E), lock washers (F) and flat washers (J) from top of motor
and repeat the rest of Step 2 until all three blades (D) have been
attached.
Note: Do NOT loosen or remove the three nuts on the threaded
ends of the screws on the top side of the motor.

FAN OPERATION
Adjust fan speed by turning dial on wall control (B). 0 is OFF setting
and 1 is for LOW speed, 2 for MEDIUM-LOW, 3 for MEDIUM, 4 for
MEDIUM-HIGH and 5 for HIGH.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
At least twice each year, lower canopy to check mounting bracket (A) and hanging bar, and then tighten all screws
on motor assembly (C). Clean motor assembly (C) with only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the
finish. Clean blades (D) with a lint-free cloth.
Important: Shut off main power supply before beginning any maintenance. Do not use water or a damp cloth to
clean the ceiling fan.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action
Fan does not move. 1. Power is off or fuse is blown. 1. Turn power on or check fuse.
2. Faulty wire connection. 2. Turn power off. Loosen canopy and
check all connections.
Noisy operation. 1. Blades (D) are loose. 1. Tighten all motor screws (E).
2. Bent blade (D). 2. Replace blade (D).
3. Unapproved speed control. 3. Replace with an approved speed
control device.
Excessive wobbling. 1. Blades (D) are loose. 1. Tighten all motor screws (E).
2. Fan not securely mounted. 2. Turn power off. Carefully loosen
canopy and verify that mounting bracket
(A) is secure.
Note: A small amount of "wobble" is normal and should not be considered a defect.
Warning: Before beginning work, shut off the power supply to avoid electrical shock.

1. Lift canopy over mounting bracket (A) and tighten the canopy set
screw to secure the canopy. [Fig. 1]

WARRANTY
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY: Litex Industries warrants this fan to be free from defects in workmanship and
materials present at time of shipment from the factory for Lifetime limited from the date of purchase. This warranty
applies only to the original purchaser. Litex Industries agrees to correct any defect at no charge or, at our option,
replace the ceiling fan with a comparable or superior model.
To obtain warranty service, present a copy of your sales receipt as proof of purchase. All cost of removal and
reinstallation are the express responsibility of the purchaser. Any damage to the ceiling fan by accident, misuse or
improper installation, or by affixing accessories not produced by the manufacturer of this fan, are the purchaser's
own responsibility. Litex Industries assumes no responsibility whatsoever for fan installation during the limited
lifetime warranty. Any service performed by an unauthorized person will render the warranty invalid.
Due to varying climatic conditions, this warranty does not cover changes in brass finish, rusting, pitting, tarnishing,
corroding or peeling. Brass finish fans maintain their beauty when protected from varying weather conditions. Any
glass provided with this fan is not covered by the warranty.
Any replacement of defective parts for the ceiling fan must be reported within the first year from the date of
purchase. For the balance of the warranty, call our customer service department (at 1-800-527-1292) for return
authorization and shipping instructions so that we may repair or replace the ceiling fan. Any fan or parts returned
improperly packaged is/are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. There is no further express warranty. Litex
Industries disclaims any and all implied warranties. The duration of any implied warranty which cannot be
disclaimed is limited to the limited lifetime period as specified in our warranty. Litex Industries shall not be liable for
incidental, consequential or special damages arising at or in connection with product use or performance except as
may otherwise be accorded by law. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights
which vary from state to state. This warranty supersedes all prior warranties.
