Delivery Check
Check the Top-Cutter for any damage when it is received at either the dealer and the final customer.
Check that the frame construction has not been exposed to impacts.
Check the hydraulic hoses, at hydraulic models, for cuts and squeezing damages. Check also the
other hydraulic components, are not damaged during transport.
Machine description
The Top-Cutter is either a rigid or a hydraulic foldable model as a 3-section construction.
The machine can be delivered as a Single or Twin model roller. When Twin roller model the knifes
are mirrored between front and rear roller, to make a cross pattern at the surface.
The machine is delivered as a front mounted model, and as accessories an A-frame for rear
mounting is available.
Additional equipment:
•A-frame for rear mounting at either rigid or hydraulic models
•Weight plates of 30 kg each. Maximum of 3 pc per meter working width
•LED-marker light
•LED-lights for rear mounted models
•2 pc. of reflex boards

Working with the Top-Cutter Solo
The area must be dry and firm to achieve the best result. Drive around wet spots where the machine
sinks and works unintentionally.
If the shape of the field allows it, it is recommended to try to drive with, for example, a 20° - 35 °
angle on the direction of travel to achieve a better effect.
The speed to be driven should be between 10 - 18 km / h. For solid stones, the speed must be
reduced and possibly lift the machine.
Avoid driving over deep tracks in the field that are perpendicular to the direction of travel, with the
Top-Cutter lowered.
On hydraulic models, the ball valves on the folding cylinders must always be closed when the
machine is in the transport position.
The tractor's lift arms must always be in the float position while driving. Do not transfer weight
from the tractor to the Top-Cutter.
The machine support legs must always be used when the machine is disconnected. The machine
can stand without support legs but is unstable and can tip over with a slight impact.
Important: When the machine is unfolded, the oil pressure in working position on the
machine's manometer must not exceed 60 - 80 bar.
The 3 parts of the machine must be able to move independently of each other while
driving. If the machine becomes completely stiff, the pressure must be reduced.

Safety around the Top-Cutter Solo
Do not operate the machine, if any people

are at risk in the dangerous area.

When persons are at risk in the dangerous area (e.g. when doing adjustments, maintenance or
connect or disconnecting), the following points must be met:
•Lower the machine on solid ground.
•Hydraulics must be relieved.
•Tractor must be turned off, and the key removed.
•Driver must be aware, when operating that there is no persons at risk in the dangerous area.
•When replacing knifes, it is not aloud to work underneath the machine without any rigid
support which are approved for the purpose. As an alternative the machine can be tilt around
to stand on the A-frame and fixed in this position.
Most accidents when operating the machine, transporting and doing maintenance occurs, when
avoiding the most simple safety regulations.
For this reason, it is of highest importance, that any person who is operating the machine, strictly
follows the safety regulations and other instructions, which belongs the machine.
The machine must only be operated, maintained and fixed by persons, who is confident with and
skilled for this work and is aware of moments of danger, which can occur.
ATTENTION!! Rotating parts and clothes in a loose condition, is a dangerous combination.
IMPORTANT!! It is strictly prohibited for any person to stand on the frame or chassis
of the machine, when it is either operating or the tractor is idling.
Instructions for transport on public roads:
Before transport on public roads, make sure that the attachment of the implement to the tractor, is in
accordance with the local rules and regulations in force (permitted total weight, permitted axle load,
transport width, lights and warning signs).
Front axle load:
When the implement is attached and at maximum load, the tractors driving properties must be
ensured. Check that the front axle is sufficiently loaded. The front axle load must be at least 20% of
the tractors weight. Permitted axle load and total weight for the tractor must be respected.
NB! The driving, controlling and braking properties are affected by the attached implement.

Safety Instructions, regarding Hydraulic System
•The highest allowable pressure, is 225 bar.
•It is recommended to mark the hydraulic connections between the implement and tractor, to
avoid incorrect operation!
•When checking for hydraulic leaks, suitable safety gear must be used due to danger. (Safety,
goggles, gloves, etc.)
At high pressure, hydraulic oil can penetrate the skin and cause serious injuries.
•Before any work at the hydraulic system, the implement must be lowered to solid ground.
Pressure must be relieved, engine stopped, and ignition key removed.
•Check the hydraulic hoses on a regular basis, however, every six months as a minimum due
to any cracks, wear and tear, etc. Replace any defective hoses immediately.
•Hydraulic hoses lasts for no more than 5 years.
New hydraulic hoses must be identical to the manufacturers specifications.

Markings on the machine
Several markings are located on your machine, which contains safety regulations and other
instructions to inform about correct operating.
Please read these instructions carefully, and make the driver aware about the markings and safety
regulations in this Operating Instructions. Keep the markings clean and readable. If they are not,
they must be replaced.

operation of the machine and observe all safety
instructions.
Plate with number and year of manufacture.
Warning instruction
Take care that no persons are within the machine’s
hazardous area during the unfolding and folding procedure.

Maintenance
After 10 hours of operation, tightening of wheels, bearings and stop rings must be done. If
this is not respected our warranty will lapse.

Eventually damages at the paint must be repaired at least once in the season. This will
preserve and make the machine stay in a good condition for many years.
•On foldable models the cylinder bushings and hinge joints must be greased at every 20 hour
of operating
•Bearings at the rollers twice a year and after every machine wash.
Disposal
When, after many years of use, the machine is to be regarded as end-of-life, it must be disposed of
to a registered and approved product dealer. This will carry out the statutory discharge and disposal
of hydraulic oil, as well as sorting materials for further processing for recycling.
