INSTALLATION
THE FIREPLACE MUST BE OFF AND COLD BEFORE BEGINNING.
ALL WARNINGS, PRECAUTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS IN THE
INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE
APPLIANCE APPLY TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
If you encounter any problems, need clarification of these instructions
or are not qualified to properly install this kit, contact you local
distributor or dealer.

WARNING
•Turn off, unplug, and let fireplace cool before install-
ing brick liner. Only a qualified service person should
service and repair fireplace.
•A qualified service person must connect and discon-
nect fireplace to gas supply. Follow all local codes.
NOTICE
If already installed, you must remove log assembly
before installing refractory kit. Refer to log assembly
owner's manual.

NOTE: Some installations may require the gas supply line to be
disconnected before removing log assembly. If so, call a qualified
service person to disconnect gas supply from fireplace.
IMPORTANT:Always handle refractory panels with two hands.

WARNING
•Test all gas piping and connections for leaks after
installing or servicing. Correct all leaks at once.
•Never use an open flame to check for a leak. Apply a
noncorrosive leak detectionfluid to alljoints. Bubbles
forming show a leak. Correct all leaks at once.

REFRACTORY PANEL INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Installation of refractory panels should
be done after the fireplace is placed in a permanent
location.
1. Remove screen assemblies and all hardware components out of
the firebox.
2. Make sure the bottom refractory panels is centered in the firebox
and flush with the front of the fireplace.
3. Match the top and bottom of the refractory panels before install-
ing.
4. Using one (1) of the refractory brackets and two (2) of the self
tapping screws, install rear refractory panel, center bracket and
screw it to the top of firebox, See Figure 2.
5. Install the right and left refractory panels with the gas line knock-
outs orientated down toward the bottom refractory secure them
with the remaining refractory brackets and self tapping screws.
6. Install the items removed in step 1.
