Introduction
Thank you for choosing a Kilotech Scale. We appreciate your business and hope that you will enjoy using your
scale. Should you require support, please contact your local dealer where you purchased your scale.
Warranty
Kilotech scales are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one
year for the scale and 3 months for the adapter, from the date of purchase.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. Warranty expiration on products returned without proof of
purchase will be determined from the manufacturing date code or the date of shipment to the authorized dealer.
Coverage may be invalidated as this date is previous to purchase date. No other express or implied warranty is given by
Kilotech.
Freight damage on returns is not covered under warranty.
This warranty does not apply for the following reasons: the product has been damaged by accident or misuse, parts
and products of a consumable nature, exposed to radioactive or corrosive materials, has foreign material penetrating to
the inside of the product, or as a result of service or modification by other than Kilotech.

General Precautions
Avoid lengthy exposure to heat
or cold.
Allow the scale to acclimate to normal room temperature before
use.
Allow sufficient warm up time.
Turn the scale on and wait for a few minutes to allow the internal
components a chance to stabilize before weighing.
Do not leave a load or weight
on a scale for a prolonged
period of time.
Do not tamper with the scale
yourself.
This will void the warranty. Contact your local distributor to
properly repair your scale.
Do not dissemble the scale
yourself.

Do not load beyond max cap
the maximum weight limit.
Do not pull the plug by its cord

Always make sure to use a
Kilotech approved adapter.
Do not drop the scale or apply
a sudden shock.
Do not drag the scale.
Avoid exposing to other
electromagnetic devices.
These devices emit RF and can cause unstable readings. If your
scale should perform poorly, try moving the scale to a different
room or location.
Level the scale or make sure it
is on an even surface.
A scale used on an uneven surface may provide an unstable
reading.
Scale should be used within
stated temperature & humidity
limits.
Do not disassemble or modify
the scale, since this voids the
warranty

Unpacking and setup
•Remove the scale from the box and place it on a firm, level surface.
•Avoid locations with rapid temperature changes, excessive dust, moisture, air currents, vibrations,
electromagnetic fields, heat or direct sunlight.
•Adjust the four levelling legs by turning them so that the air bubble is centered on the black circle of the
level bubble. All levelling legs should be touching the surface.
•NOTE: Ensure that the scale is level each time its location is changed.
•Before using the scale for the first time, the internal rechargeable battery should be fully charged for at
least 12 hours.
•Connect the supplied AC adapter to the power input receptacle underneath the scale. Plug the AC adapter
into a power outlet and the battery will begin charging.
•If the scale will be stored or transported in the future, save the packaging material to ensure the best
possible protection for the scale.

BASIC PARAMETER SETTING
Press and hold “MODE” + “→0←” together for 3 seconds until “= = = = = =”is displayed then release. The
following parameters can then be set.

2= when zero displayed the backlight is off; when weighing
and the weight is stable the backlight is on.
B=1~9 means 10~90 seconds of backlight (only when A=1 is
selected above.)
Ex: B=1, means backlight stays on for 10 sec.

X=1 means after stable status, data sent out.

Press “→0←” to change setting digits (0%~40% can be
selected).
Ex: 20% means when rechargeable battery indicator is < 20%,
scale will power off automatically.

B= zero tracking range, 1~9 means (1~9) x0.25d for
tracking range.
C=zero display according to the division setting, C=1
means when the weight<1d, display will show zero.

WEIGHING UNIT
In the weighing mode, press MODE key once to cycle through the units to change to g/kg/Lb/oz PCS.
COUNTING FUNCTION
This mode is used to count the number of pieces of an item placed on the pan. To ensure accuracy, the parts
to be counted must be consistent in weight. The scale uses a sampling method to determine the average
weight of items to be counted.
How to enter the Counting mode
Press the MODE key once to cycle through g/kg/Lb/PCS until the PCS icon is displayed. When “n 0” is on
the screen, then the scale is in counting mode.
How to Count
Place a sample size of the item you wish to count on the pan (ex 50 pieces). After the icon is displayed,
press and hold the MODE key for three seconds. The display will read “000000” and the “PCS” icon will be
active. Press “→T←” to select the position and “→0←” to set the sample size until the display reads
“000050”. Then press MODE to see “n 50” displayed. You may need to add more items if you get the “Err
11” code since the weight of the item may be too light, or out of the test range.
*Press MODE return back to weighing mode.
ERROR MESSAGES
Error 1: Accuracy setting too high
Error 2: Zero Tracking wrong, check whether load cell is damaged.
Error 3: Out of the display range
Error 4: Inner code is 0 error
Error 5: Over load, over the setting range or display “------“
Error6: Cannot zero.
Error7: Cannot tare.
Error8: Cannot accumulate.
Error9: Cannot changing weight unit.
Error10: W/O connection to the battery or battery damage.
Error11: Weight of the item being counted is too light; outside of the detectable range.
