SlingGuard™ Sling bars are available in two versions of aachment to the li. Fixed aachment or the quick-aachment device
Quick- Hook Mul. SlingGuard™ Sling bars has latches to protect against involuntary unhooking of the slings suspension loops.

Safety informaon
A Liko™ li system is a combinaon of products. Each product has its own maximum load marking. The lowest specied
maximum load of the products that comprises the system sets the maximum load for the complete li system.
The li system can contain following products; li rails, a li motor, a sling bar, a sling or other recommended accessories.
Idenfy the maximum load for the complete li system by reading the maximum load marking on each product in the system.
Contact your Hill-Rom representave for support and advice.
Intended use
A SlingGuard™ sling bar is used as an aid in carrying out lis but does not come into contact with the paent, therefore we do
not go into dierent paent condions in the instricon for use. Surrounding (funconal) environment: Temp. +5 °C to +40 °C,
relave humidity 15% to 93% non-condensed. Barometric pressure range of 70 kPa to 106 kPa.

Note! Always read the instrucon for use that comes with Liko´s dierent sling models for correct and safe use of the sling.
The total maximum load for a li system is always determined by the product in the system with the lowest
specied maximum load.
Read and understand the Instrucon for use in its enrety before using the product.
Use of the product without a full understanding of the contents is subject to risk.
Read the instrucon for use for both the paent li and liing accessories before use. Liing and
transferring a person always involves a certain level of risk. It is important to completely understand the
contents of the instrucon for use. The equipment should only be used by trained personnel. Contact your
Hill-Rom representave in the event of any uncertaines or quesons.

Note! For correct and safe use of a sling, always study the instrucon for use for the selected sling before liing.
Aach liing accessories correctly so that the sling bar hangs level and all sling bar hooks take all the
weight when liing!
Before liing always ensure that the sling’s strap loops are correctly connected to the sling bar hooks
when the sling straps are stretched, but before the paent is lied from the underlying surface.
The sling strap loops should be aached to the sling bar hooks so that the sling bar latches safely prevent
involuntary unhooking of the strap loops.

Quick-Hook Mul
Open the Quick-Hook Mul with the green buon, see g.a and aach the Quick-Hook Mul to Mul-link at the li strap,
release the buon. The Quick-Hook Mul is now aached to the Mul-Link, see g.b.
Always check that the quick aachment device is correctly aached to the li strap aachment.

Disinfecon Instrucons
1. For the use of suitable disinfectants see chapter “Use of cleaning and disinfecng agents on LikoGuard™ Overhead li“.
2. Use the choice of disinfectant according to the manufacturer’s instrucons and repeat the work step as in ”Cleaning instrucons.
3. Remove traces of disinfectant aer disinfecon. Wipe o the enre sling bar with a cloth moistened with clean water starng
from the top and working down. The cloth shall not be so damp that it drips.

Equipment
• Safety equipment (such as rubber gloves, protecve glasses, aprons, face masks/protecve masks and overshoes) according
to guidelines and rounes in your organizaon and the manufacturer’s instrucons.
• Clean buckets
• Cloths
• So brushes
• Warm water
• See chapter ”Use of cleaning and disinfecng agents on LikoGuard™ Overhead li” for choice of suitable cleaning and
disinfecng agents.
All parts must be kept clean in order to avoid the risk of infecon. Necessary precauons must be taken to eliminate all visible
stains and dirt. The cleaning and disinfecon methods described are specically aimed at the li and all accessories. It has
been designed to save me and contribute to eecvely ghng healthcare related infecons.

Cleaning instrucons
1. If the sling bar includes the Quick-hook Mul, remove the Sling bar by disconnecng the Quick-hook Mul from the lis
Mul-Link connector, see ”Assembly of SlingGuard™ Sling bar with Quick-Hook Mul”.
2. Clean the sling bar with a cloth moistened with warm water and a neutral cleaning agent approved by your organizaon.
A so brush may be used to remove stains and resistant dirt.
3. Wipe o the enre sling bar with a cloth moistened with clean water starng from the top and working down. The cloth
shall not be so damp that it drips.
IMPORTANT! The li strap or the Emergency stop cord shall not be exposed to following agents: CSI, Oxivir Tb, Dispatch,
Chlor-Clean, Dismozon Pur or the equivalent.
Cleaning and disinfecon must always be carried out in accordance with the recommended instrucons.
