Introduction
The Stargazer Nano Long Skylight can be installed on the roof of a unit to provide ventilation and allow
sunshine in while providing privacy. The inner screen frame options allow for different types of ventilation
and guards against pests. The inner screen assembly is a combination of a flyscreen and shade for windows
that can be pulled across the skylight opening by hand using the two different profiles. The integrated
spring shaft tensions the fabric permanently and gives optimum hold. The Stargazer Nano Long Skylight is
positioned front to rear of unit or North to South and is designed for a curved interior roof. For information

Resources Required
Prior to Installation
Be sure to check that rough opening measures to the size stated on the Stargazer Nano Long Skylight label.
Be sure that the opening has proper framework supporting it, ie; aluminum, steel tubing or lumber.
1. Remove all packing material and tape before installation of the Stargazer skylight.
2. Clean the back surface of the outside flange, of the outer frame of the window assembly (Fig. 1A).
3. Install OEM provided inner seal along the back inside perimeter (Fig. 2A - red line) of the outer frame
surface of the window assembly. This helps to create a tight seal once the window is completely
installed inside the roof of the unit.

• Caulk gun
• Gunnable self-leveling Lap sealant
• Closed cell foam tape or butyl tape
• Scissors or cutting tool
• Cleaning cloths
• Alcohol based cleaner
• #8 x1 pan quad T-2 self drilling screw w/assembled 5/8"
neo-bond washer – (Approx. 48 for outer roof skylight)
• #8 x 3/4” pan head screws (6 for inner frame / screens)

Installation
Skylight Roof installation
1. Place the skylight window assembly in the rough opening of the unit, centered side to side with the
hinge pins (Fig. 3A) facing towards the front of the unit.
2. Install #8 x1" pan quad T-2 self drilling screws w/assembled 5/8" neo-bond washers (Fig. 4A) in each
pre-drilled hole (Fig. 4B) along the perimeter of the Stargazer Nano Long Skylight outer frame.
3. Apply the gunnable self-leveling sealant over each screw (Fig. 5A - green area).
4. Apply the gunnable self-leveling sealant around the perimeter where the skylight frame and roof meet
(Fig. 6A - green area).
Skylight Inner Screen Ceiling Frame
1. Insert the ceiling trim piece (Fig. 7A) inside the skylight housing (Fig. 7B) with the flange of the trim
(Fig. 7A) flush to the ceiling (Fig. 7C).
2. Place the screen frame (Fig. 8A) centered over the trim in the ceiling.
3. Install six #8 x 3/4” pan head screws (Fig. 9C) through the pre-driled holes (Fig. 9B) of the screen frame,
through the ceiling trim, and into the ceiling.
4. Install six screw caps (Figs. 9D, 10A) over the screw holes in the screen frame.

All windows must be fully closed prior to travel. Failure to close windows prior to
travel could result in product and/or property damage.
Skylight Open Position
NOTE: DO NOT rapidly slide the profiles of the screen frame assembly. Rapidly sliding the profiles may
cause damage to the screen frame or ceiling of the unit.
1. If applicable, toggle the screen latch (Fig. 11A) to slide the screens (Fig. 11B) back into the screen frame
to be able to access the Stargazer Nano Long Skylight's five skylight window latches.
2. Press in on the latch button (Fig. 12A) and swing the latch (Fig. 12B) from the closed position (Fig. 12)
to the open position (Fig. 13A).
NOTE: The Stargazer Nano Long Skylight opens to a maximum of 8 degrees. DO NOT force the skylight
window open any farther than it will extend.
3. Push up on the skylight window's handle (Fig. 14A) to open the skylight window.

4. If desired, slide the inner screens (Fig. 15) forward or back into a comfortable position or keep the
screens back in the screen frame to get the maximum air flow from the open skylight window (Fig. 16).
NOTE: DO NOT rapidly slide the profiles of the screen frame assembly. Rapidly sliding the profiles may
cause damage to the screen frame or ceiling of the unit.
1. If applicable, toggle the screen latch (Fig. 17A) to slide the screens (Fig. 17B) back into the screen frame
to be able to access the Stargazer Nano Long Skylight's five skylight window latches.
2. Pull down on the skylight window handle (Fig. 18A) and swing all five open latches (Fig. 19A) to the
closed position (Fig. 20A). The latch button (Fig. 20B) will click into place.
3. If desired, slide the inner screens (Fig. 17B) forward or back to shade the sun.
All windows must be fully closed prior to travel. Failure to close windows prior to
travel could result in product and/or property damage.

Maintenance
Spot clean only the frame with a damp cloth and mild soap.
