back music and radio programmes.
The device is intended for private use only
and not for industrial/commercial use.
Please note that we shall not be liable in
cases of improper use:

− Use only accessories (e.g., the mains

adapter, the power supply cord or the
device, pull the plug out of the power
point immediately.
− If the device is moved from a cold place
to a warm place, condensation may
occur in the device and mains adapter.

− The power point must be freely
accessible so that you can unplug the
device from the power point quickly if
necessary.
− Always pull the plug of the mains
adapter out of the power point each
time before cleaning.
− Always pull the power supply cord out of
the power point by its plug; do not pull
on the cord.
− If the mains adapter, the power supply
cord or the device is damaged, or if
liquids or foreign objects have entered
the inside of the device, immediately
pull the plug out of the power point.
− Do not bend or compress/squash the
mains power cord.
− Do not turn the device on if the device or
the power supply cord shows visible wear.
− If you ascertain that the device was
damaged in transit, please contact the
service department immediately.

− On no account should you make changes
to the device yourself, or try to open a part
of the device or repair it yourself.
− No user replaceable parts inside, refer
servicing to qualified service personnel.
− If the housing of the mains adapter or the
power supply cord is damaged, the power
adapter must be disposed of and replaced
by a new mains adapter of the same type.
Set-up location / surroundings
− New devices can emit a typical,
unavoidable but completely safe odour
that fades over time. In order to reduce
any odours, we recommend that you air
the room regularly. When developing
this product, we took care to ensure that
it falls well within the relevant regulatory
limits.
− Place and operate all components on a
stable, level and vibration-free surface in
order to stop the device from falling.
− When setting it up, maintain a minimum
distance of 5cm around the device in
order to ensure adequate ventilation.

− Ventilation must not be reduced by
covering the device with objects, e.g.
magazines, table cloths, curtains etc.
− Make sure that the device is not exposed to
any direct sources of heat (e.g., heating).
− Do not allow any naked flames (e.g.,
burning candles) to be placed on or near
the device.
− Do not put any objects on top of the
cord, as this may damage it.
− Only use the device in residential
premises or similar spaces.
− For indoor use only. The device shall not
be exposed to dripping or splashing. Do
not use in wet or high humidity areas,
such as kitchen or bathroom.
− Do not use the device in areas where
there is a danger of explosion. This
includes, e.g., petrol stations, fuel
storage areas or areas in which
solvents are processed. You should
also avoid using the device in areas
with particulate-laden air (e.g., flour or
sawdust).

− Do not subject the device to extreme
conditions. The following are to be
avoided:
−High atmospheric humidity or moisture,
−extremes of temperature (high or low),
−direct sunlight,
−naked flames.
Electromagnetic compatibility
− Keep the device at a distance of at
least one metre from sources of high-
frequency or magnetic interference
(televisions, other loudspeakers, mobile
and cordless telephones, etc.) to avoid
malfunctions.
Handling batteries
The device is battery-operated. Please note
the following:
− Avoid contact with battery acid. If contact
with skin, eyes or mucous membranes
occurs, flush the affected parts with
plenty of clean water and seek medical
attention immediately.

− Keep new and used batteries out of the
reach of children.

Risk of chemical burns!
If a battery is swallowed, it can result in
serious internal chemical burns within 2
hours, which can result in death.
− If you suspect that batteries could have
been swallowed or entered any part of
the body, seek medical attention without
delay.
− Do not swallow batteries – there is a risk
of chemical burns.
− Stop using the device if the battery
compartment does not close securely,
and keep it out of the reach of children.
− Before inserting the batteries, check
that the contacts in the device and on
the batteries are clean and, if necessary,
clean them.

− Only use new batteries of the same
type. Never use old and new batteries
together.
− Please note the polarity (+/-) when
inserting the batteries.

replaced incorrectly!
− Replace the batteries only with the same
or equivalent type.
− Never try to recharge non-rechargeable
batteries.
− Never expose the batteries to excessive
heat (such as direct sunlight, fire or
similar).
− Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
Strong direct heat can damage batteries.
You should therefore keep the device
away from sources of intense heat.
− Never short-circuit batteries.
− Never throw batteries into a fire.

− Remove leaking batteries from the
device immediately. Clean the contacts
before inserting a new battery. There is a
