X556 IMEI Writing Procedure
2. CAUTIONS
I. Flashing & Servicing must be undertaken by qualified personnel only.
II. Ensure all work is carried out at an anti-static workstation and that an anti-static wrist strap is worn.
III. Use only approved Tools & components as specified in the parts list.
IV. Ensure all components, modules, screws, and insulators are correctly re-fitted after servicing and
alignment
V. Ensure all cables and wires are repositioned correctly if Handset disassembled
VI. Electrostatic discharge can easily damage the sensitive components of electronic products.
Therefore, Service Centre must adhere the precautions which mentioned above.
3. IMEI Writing Procedure
3.1 . Engineering code: Power On the device and type #*878*# to enter into Engineering Mode as
Shown below:
3.2. Para Set: Move down to 8 number which is Parameter set (Para Set) as shown below:

3.3. Update IMEI Number: Move down to 16 number for Update IMEI Number as shown below:
3.4. IMEI 1: Enter 15 Digit IMEI 1 as “a IMEI 1” (Ex: a123456789123456) by selecting the language
settings and after Enter 15 digit IMEI Press OK as shown below:

3.5. IMEI 2: Similarly Enter 15 Digit IMEI 2 as “ a IMEI 2”( Ex: a987654321987654) by selecting the
language settings as shown above fig and after Enter 15 digit IMEI Press OK as shown below:

3.6. EXIT: After entering the both IMEI press back for exit as shown below:

3.7. Restart: After Exit from Engineering Mode, restart the device. Your IMEI will write correctly in the
device. Press *#06# for checking IMEI shown like as below:
