
IMPORTANT ESCAPE RULES
The devices protects the wearer during escape from a
dangerous ambient atmosphere. During the escape, the
following rules must always be observed:
1. Stay calm!
2. Choose the shortest route to safe ambient air!
3. Breathe calmly! Extra air will be consumed if breathing is fast and
irregular. Do not talk or attempt to breathe the ambient air from
the side of the mouthpiece.
4. Do not damage or compress the breathing bag, otherwise
lifesaving oxygen may be lost!
5. The mouthpiece must be tight between teeth and lips and be
tightly enclosed with the lips.
The device must always be available for emergencies.
The device can be put into operation with a few simple
hand movements in about 20 seconds.
Opening the Container
ƔPull the locking lever in the direction
of the arrow until the seal breaks and
locking device falls o.
Inserting Mouthpiece
ƔPlace mouthpiece into mouth with
ange of mouthpiece between teeth
and lips. Ensure the mouth piece cord is
not twisted.
ƔBite down on the two lugs.
ƔInhale through the nose.
ƔExhale into the device.
• So the breathing bag is inated.
Fit Nose Clip
ƔGrasp nose clip by rubber nipples,
pull nose pads apart and t them unto
nose. Ensure nose clip is secured over
the nose and conrm the air passage
through the nostrils is closed - ensuring
a closed circuit is achieved with the user
taking breath and exhaling only through
the mouthpiece into the breathing bag.
Pulling out
ƔGrasp container cover with one hand.
ƔPull out the rescuer by the neck strap
with the other hand.
• If the cover falls away with the locking
device, the rescuer will automatically
unfold and be suspended by the
mouth- piece plug.
ƔDetach device from mouthpiece plug.
• Ensure that you unpack the waist
strap at the point. The breathing bag
is packed with the waist strap looped
around the bag, so unravel to release
the breathing bag.

Opening the Container
(1) Pull the locking lever in the direction of the
arrow until the seal breaks and locking de-
vice falls off.
Pulling out
(2) Grasp container cover with one hand.
(3) Pull out the rescuer by the neck strap with
the other hand.
ZIf the cover falls away with the locking
device, the rescuer will automatically
unfold and be suspended by the mouth-
piece plug.
(4) Detach device from mouthpiece plug.
Fitting the Neck Strap
(5) Take off the protective helmet, if used.
(6) Place the neck strap around the neck.

Set up Breathing Bag
ƔUnroll the breathing bag by hand until it
is stretched out and at full length.
ƔThink of the breathing bag as your
“Second set of Lungs”. Many experts
agree that diaphragmatic breathing
or“belly breathing”as it is sometimes
called, provides the most oxygen to
your lungs.
