Multi Line Client (MLC) is the softphone client
Once started Select “Activate”

given to you via the
telephony team
Successful activation
Next, Click “yes” to update
settings

Enter extension
number and
extension
password and
press save
Extension ready to be setup

MLC Headset setup
Bottom right icon tray
1.Have your headset connected to your USB
port of your laptop
2.Right Click on the Speaker icon
3.Left click on Playback Devices
4.Right click Headset icon
5.Left click on Set as Default Device
6.Press OK
7.Headset is now setup. This is a one time setup for your
headset

MLC Headset setup - continued
1.The Mic button needs to be RED
to ensure the Microphone on your
headset works
2.To mute your call so the caller can
not hear you press the Mic button,
the red light turns off, the caller will
not be able to hear you.
3.For the caller to recommence
hearing your conversation press
Mic again the red light will turn on

Laptop setup –In Coming Call Ringing Device
1.Click on the Option Cog
2.Click on the Ring Device down
arrow to select either your
Headset or laptop as your
incoming call ringing device
3.Click save once you have
selected your preferred option
When you press the AUDIO SETTINGS button you get the
following window. This allows you to select one audio device
for ring tone, usually your laptop speakers and a different
device for Audio ( speech)

MLC Headset
Please ensure your headset is fully charged to
ensure it works correctly. It is charged via the wired
USB connection.
The Headset can be used in a wired mode or
Bluetooth mode.
All incoming calls will ring via the headset

Voicemail setup
1. Dial 98900 and press the speaker button
2. Your default password is 0000
3. You will be requested to select a new password
(from 4 to 16 characters)
4. Follow the instructions on the phone
5. Once complete your voicemail is setup

MLC Call Forward –All Calls
1.Press the Speaker button to get dial
tone
2.Press the CF-AllCalls button
3.Enter the number you wish to forward
all. E.g. Mobile [phone].
You will need to ensure you place a “0”
before the phone number required
4.Press the Speaker button when
complete
5.The red light will now be on
To turn off the CF-AllCalls function press
the Speaker button, wait for the dial tone
and press the CF-AllCalls button again

MLC Call Forward –No Answer
1. Press the Speaker button to get dial
tone
2. Press the CF-NoAnswer button
3. Enter the number you wish to forward
all. E.g. Mobile [phone].
You will need to ensure you place a “0”
before the phone number required
4. Press the Speaker button when
complete
5. The red light will now be on
To turn off the CF-NoAnswer function
press the Speaker button, wait for the dial
tone and press the CF-NoAnswer button
again

MLC Call Forward –Busy Line
1. Press the Speaker button to get dial
tone
2. Press the CF-BusyLine button
3. Enter the number you wish to forward
all. E.g. Mobile [phone].
You will need to ensure you place a
“0” before the phone number required
4. Press the Speaker button when
complete
5. The red light will now be on
To turn off the CF-BusyLine function
press the Speaker button, wait for the dial
tone and press the CF-BusyLine button
again

MLC Making a Call
1. Press the digits on the MLC softphone and
press Speaker to make the call
For an external department call please place a
“0” in front of the number
2. To hang up the call press Speaker again

MLC Receiving a Call
1. Lights will flash on the MLC and a
ringing tone will come through the
headset
2. The calling number will be displayed on
the screen
3. To answer the call, press the Answer
button
4. To complete the call either wait for the
caller to hang up or press the Speaker
button

MLC Call Logs
1. Press on the Call Logs button
2. Call Logs will be displayed for
either All or missed depending
all the tab selected
3. To make a call, press the number
required and press the green
handset icon
4. To add the number to contacts,
press the number you require
and press the Add to Contacts
icon. Follow the on screen
prompts and press save.

DJCS staff to dial the vmail pilot number to access their voicemail.
