Thisinformationinthismanualhasbeenstructuredusingauniquecodingenvironment.Thisisthewayinwhich
technicalinformationiscreated,storedandretrievedintheTechnicalInformationDatabase.Thelocation(onthe
machine)hasbeencodedusingSAPcodingtoalignlocationswiththewarrantysystem.
Thecodingclassiesallinformationinthreeways.
TherstcategoryistheLocation,thesecondcategoryistheInformationTypeandthethirdcategoryistheProduct:
•LOCATION-isthecomponentorfunctiononthemachine,thatthepieceoftechnicalinformationisgoingtodescribe
e.g.,Fueltank.
•INFORMATIONTYPE-isthepieceoftechnicalinformationthathasbeenwrittenforaparticularcomponentor
functiononthemachinee.g.CapacitywouldbeatypeofTechnicalDatathatwoulddescribetheamountoffuel
heldbytheFueltank.
