Usecautionwhenyouoperatethemachineonslopes.Raisedequipment,fulltanksandotherloadswillchangethe
centerofgravityofthemachine.Themachinecantiporrolloverwhennearditchesandembankmentsoruneven
surfaces.
Neverpermitanyoneotherthantheoperatortorideonthemachine.
Neveroperatethemachineundertheinuenceofalcoholordrugs,orwhileyouareotherwiseimpaired.
Whendiggingorusingground-engagingattachments,beawareofburiedcables.Contactlocalutilitiestodetermine
thelocationsofservices.
Payattentiontooverheadpowerlinesandhangingobstacles.Highvoltagelinesmayrequiresignicantclearance
forsafety.
Hydraulicoilordieselfuelleakingunderpressurecanpenetratetheskin,causingseriousinjuryorinfection.
•DONOTuseyourhandtocheckforleaks.Useapieceofcardboardorpaper.
•Stoptheengine,removethekey,andrelievethepressurebeforeyouconnectordisconnectuidlines.
•Makesurethatallcomponentsareingoodcondition.Tightenallconnectionsbeforeyoustarttheengineorpres-
surizethesystem.
•Ifhydraulicuidordieselfuelpenetratestheskin,seekmedicalattentionimmediately.
•Continuouslongtermcontactwithhydraulicuidmaycauseskincancer.Avoidlongtermcontactandwashthe
skinpromptlywithsoapandwater.
Keepclearofmovingparts.Looseclothing,jewelry,watches,longhair,andotherlooseorhangingitemscanentangle
inmovingparts.
Wearprotectiveequipmentwhenappropriate.
DONOTattempttoremovematerialfromanypartofthemachinewhilethemachineisoperating,anyofthebaler
componentsareinmotion,orwhilethetractorengineisrunning.
Beforeyouoperatethemachine,installandsecurelycloseallofthemachineguardsandshields.Makesurethatall
theguardsandthatalltheshieldsareingoodcondition.Neveroperatethemachinewithshieldsopenorremoved.
Alwaysclosetheaccessdoorsand/oraccesspanelsbeforeoperatingthemachine.
Makesurethatnobystandersorpetsarewithinthemachineoperatingarea.Themachineand/ormovingcomponent
onthemachinecanstrikeorcrushbystandersorpets.DONOTallowanyonetoentertheworkarea.
Dirtyorslipperysteps,ladders,walkways,andplatformscancausefalls.Makesurethesesurfacesremaincleanand
clearofdebris.
Apersonorpetwithintheoperatingareaofamachinecanbestruckorcrushedbythemachineoritsequipment.DO
NOTallowanyonetoentertheworkarea.
Raisedequipmentand/orloadscanfallunexpectedlyandcrushpersonsunderneath.Neverallowanyonetoenter
theareaunderneathraisedequipmentduringoperation.
Alwayskeepwindows,mirrors,alllighting,andSlow-MovingVehicle(SMV)emblemcleantoprovidethebestpossible
visibilitywhileyouoperatethemachine.
Operatecontrolsonlywhenseatedintheoperator’sseat,exceptforthosecontrolsexpresslyintendedforusefrom
otherlocations.

3.Engagetheparkingbrake.Usewheelchocksifrequired.
4.Lowerallhydraulicequipmentsuchasimplementsandheaders.
5.Turnofftheengineandremovethekey.
WARNING
Somecomponentsmaycontinuetorundownafterdisengagingdrivesystems.
Makesurealldrivesystemsarefullydisengaged.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.W0113A
When,duetoexceptionalcircumstances,youwoulddecidetokeeptheenginerunningafteryouleavethe
operator’sstation,thenyoumustfollowtheseprecautions:
1.Bringtheenginetolowidlespeed.
2.Disengagealldrivesystems.
3.Shiftthetransmissionintoneutral.
4.Applytheparkingbrake.
Hydraulicsystemsafety
Hydraulicoilordieselfuelleakingunderpressurecanpenetratetheskin,causingseriousinjuryorinfection.
•DONOTuseyourhandtocheckforleaks.Useapieceofcardboardorpaper.
•Stopengine,removekeyandrelievethepressurebeforeconnectingordisconnectinguidlines.
•Makesureallcomponentsareingoodconditionandtightenallconnectionsbeforestartingtheengineorpressur-
izingthesystem.
•Ifhydraulicuidordieselfuelpenetratestheskin,seekmedicalattentionimmediately.
•Continuouslong-termcontactwithhydraulicuidmaycauseskincancer.Avoidlongtermcontactandwashthe
skinpromptlywithsoapandwater.
Thehydraulichosesandttingsonyourmachinemeetengineeringspecicationsfortheparticularfunction.When
replacingdamaged,blownorwornhosesorttings,useonlymanufacturerauthorizedserviceparts.
Careinhydraulichoseinstallationisamust:
•Makesurepressureisrelievedbeforestartinginstallationprocedure.
•DONOTkinkortwistahose,failuremayoccur.
•Properlyroutethehose.
•Removeairfromthehydraulicsystemafterinstallinganyhydrauliccomponent.
Periodicallycheckhydraulicsystemforleaksordamage.checkfor:
•Leaksathosettingorinhose.
•Damagedhosesand/orttings.
•Kinked,crushed,attened,hardblistered,heatcracked,charred,twisted,softorloosecoveredhoses.
•Corrodedordamagedttings.
•Leakingports.
•Excessivedirtanddebrisaroundhosesand/orttings.
•Damagedormissinghoseretainingclamps,guards,shields,etc.
DONOTstandonoruseahoseasastep.DONOTpullorapplyexternalforcestothehose.Thehosemayfailand
causeinjury.

Escapinguidunderpressuremayformamistornespraywhichcanashorexplodeuponcontactwithanignition

Vibrationcanreducehoseservicelife.Makesureallretainingclampsand/ordevicesaresecured.
Environmentalconditionscancausehoseandttingstodeteriorate.Inspecthydraulichosesperiodically.Replace
wornordamagedhosesandttings.

Keeptheareausedforservicingthemachinecleananddry.Cleanupspilleduids.
Onlyservicethemachineonarmlevelsurface.
Installguardsandshieldsafteryouservicethemachine.
Closeallaccessdoorsandinstallallpanelsafterservicingthemachine.
Donotattempttoclean,lubricate,clearobstructions,ormakeadjustmentstothemachinewhileitisinmotionorwhile

Jackorliftthemachineonlyatjackorliftpointsindicatedinthisoperator’smanual.
Incorrecttowingprocedurescancauseaccidents.Whentowingadisabledmachinefollowthetowingproceduresin
thisoperator’smanual.Useonlyrigidtowbars.
Stoptheengine,removethekey,andrelievepressurebeforedisconnectingorconnectinguidlines.

treatmentofsomeofthesubstancesthatadvancedtechnologyrequires,soundjudgmentshouldgoverntheuseand
disposalofproductsofachemicalandpetrochemicalnature.
Familiarizeyourselfwiththerelativelegislationapplicabletoyourcountry,andmakesurethatyouunderstandthis
legislation.Wherenolegislationexists,obtaininformationfromsuppliersofoils,lters,batteries,fuels,anti-freeze,
cleaningagents,etc.,withregardtotheeffectofthesesubstancesonmanandnatureandhowtosafelystore,use,
anddisposeofthesesubstances.
