When recharging, the
ambient
temperature should be in the vicinity

the
power
cable from the
power
outlet
when
not

use.
Do
not
short
the
batterycharger terminals. Failure
to
observe this precaution could result in overheating and
dam-
age
to
the charger.
When in
use,
the
charger
must
be kept level
with

CHARGE
lamp
facing up.

Before using the product for the firsttime,

before using the productfollowing an extended period
of
disuse, recharge
the battery
with
the Battery Charger MH-63.
Do
not
use
the battery at
ambient
temperatures
below
0
°C
(32
OF)
or above
40°C
(104
OF).
Failure to observe this
precaution could damage the battery or impair
Its
performance.
The internal temperature
of
the
battery may
rise
while
the battery
is
in
use.
Attempting
to
recharge the
battery
while the internal temperature
is
elevated could affect battery performance, and
the
battery may
not
charge
or
may
charge
only
partially. Wait for
the
battery
to
cool before charging.
Do
not
attempt
to
recharge afully-charged battery. Failure to observe this precaution will result in reduced
battery
performance.
Do
not
move
the MH-63 or touch
the
battery
during
charging. Failure
to
observe this precaution could in very rare
instances result in
the
MH-63 showing
that
charging
is
complete
when
the
battery
is
only
partially charged. Remove
and reinsert
the
battery
to
begin charging again.
In
the event
of
malfunction, stop
use
immediately and take the charger to aNikon service representative for inspection.
