Der Airstep tight Walker Gehschuh ist ausschließlich für die orthetische Versorgung
des Knöchels einzusetzen.

ORTHOSERVICE AG erklärt als Hersteller in alleiniger Verantwortung, dass das
Produkt die grundlegenden Anforderungen des Anhangs I der Richtlinie 93/42/EEC

MATERIAL
Gehschuh aus widerstandsfähigem und leichtem Kunststoff mit entnehmbarer
Innenpolsterung mit COOLMAX®Antischweiß-Futterstoff und zwei über Ventile
individuell aufpumpbare Luftpolster. Der Verschluss erfolgt über Klettbänder,
die die vordere Stützschale am Gehschuh fixieren.

VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN

HINWEISE
Das Produkt muss von einem Arzt verschrieben und unter ärztlicher Kontrolle benutzt
werden. Es wird von einem Orthopädietechniker angelegt, der sowohl für das Anlegen
wie auch für die Informationen über den sicheren Gebrauch entsprechend Ihren persön-
lichen Anforderungen Ihr kompetenter Ansprechpartner ist. Die Wirksamkeit, Verträg-
lichkeit und die Funktionalität des Produktes sind nur dann garantiert, wenn es immer
mit größter Sorgfalt angelegt wird. Jede eventuelle Änderung der Struktur oder der
Einstellung muss von einem Arzt verordnet und von einem Orthopädietechniker aus-
geführt werden. Es wird empfohlen, dass das Produkt immer nur von einem Patienten
verwendet wird. Bei hypersensiblen Personen kann der direkte Hautkontakt zu Rötungen
und Reizungen führen. Sollten Schmerzen, Schwellungen, Tumeszenzen oder andere
ungewöhnliche Reaktionen auftreten, wenden Sie sich bitte sofort an Ihren Arzt.

Alle Bänder öffnen und provisorisch hinter dem Schuh schliessen. Die Polsterung
aus der Kunststoffschale herausziehen und öffnen.
Die Polsterung anziehen, so dass die Ferse gut am hinteren Teil anliegt, und
danach mit dem Klettverschluss schließen (Abb. A).
Die Plastikschiene weiten und den Gehschuh von unten auf das Bein ziehen (Abb. B).
Die Schiene muss senkrecht verlaufen und an den Knöcheln zentriert sein (Abb. C).
Beim Verschliessen der Klettbänder ist zu beachten, dass beim Untersten begon-
nen (in Zehennähe) (Abb. D) und nach oben hin fortgesetzt wird (Abb. E).
Die Luftpolster aufpumpen (Abb. F und G) und einen bequemen Sitz herstellen.
Aufpumpen: Die Pumpe (Abb. H) mit der Seite IN in das gewünschte Ventil ein-
setzen und damit Luft zuführen. Luft ablassen: Die Pumpe fest mit der Seite OUT
in das gewünschte Ventil einsetzen. Nun kann durch das Betätigen der Pumpe
oder durch das Zusammendrücken des Polsters die Luft abgelassen werden.
Der zuständige Orthopädietechniker muss dem Patienten erklären, wie Sitz,
Bequemlichkeit und Druck angemessen eingestellt werden können, damit der
Patient den Schuh später selbst anziehen kann.
Wenn nötig, kann man die beigelegten Zusatzpolster verwenden, um die Orthese
noch genauer dem Bein des Patienten anzupassen (Abb. I).
Achtung: Die Orthese darf nur mit der Zustimmung des zuständigen Orthopädie-
technikers abgenommen werden (um die Orthese abzunehmen, führt man das
oben beschriebene Verfahren in umgekehrter Reihenfolge aus).

SCOPE OF APPLICATION
The Airstep tight Walker is to be used exclusively for the orthotic care of the ankle.
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
As the manufacturer, ORTHOSERVICE AG on its sole responsibility declares that the
product meets the basic requirements of annex I of the Directive 93/42/EEC
MDD Medical devices rev. 2007/47/EU.
MATERIAL
Walker made from durable and light plastic with removable inner padding with COOL-
MAX®anti-perspirant filling and two air pads that can be individually pumped via valves.
The fastening uses Velcro®straps which secure the front supporting shell to the walker.

Open all the straps and spread them apart (on the back). Fasten them temporarily
on themselves. Remove the padding inside the plastic boot and open it.
Put on the padding so that the heel rests firmly up against the rear section and
then close using the Velcro®fastening (Fig. A).
Put the plastic boot on the leg from the bottom, spreading the plastic splint (Fig. B).
Position it so that the splint is vertical and centered on the ankle (Fig. C).
Close the Velcro®straps, starting from those closest to the toes (Fig.D)
and moving upward (Fig. E).
Inflate the air pads (Fig. F and G) and ensure comfortable fit.
To inflate: Insert the small pump (Fig. H) with the opening IN into the desired
valve and inject air by using the pump. To deflate: Insert the small pump with the
opening OUT into the desired valve. It is then possible to use the pump actively to
pump the air out or leave it in place and press on the padding until it is completely
deflated. The healthcare personnel assigned should teach the patient how to obtain
adherence, comfort and adequate compression, for when the boot is reapplied
later by the patient.
If necessary, use the additional padding supplied to adapt the splint to the patient’s
leg (Fig. I).
Important: Remove the boot only when prescribed by the healthcare operator (to
remove the boot follow the above sequence in reverse).

PRECAUTIONS
It is advised that the pressure exerted by the product does not act on parts of the body
suffering from wounds, swelling or lumps. It is advisable to wear a garment, avoiding
direct contact with the skin. If in doubt about how to apply, contact an orthopedic
technician. The device should not be worn in the vicinity of open flames or strong
electromagnetic fields.
WARNINGS
The product should be prescribed, used under medical supervision and applied by an
orthopedic technician, the competent authority figure for the application as well as for
information on the safe use, according to individual needs. To ensure the effectiveness,
tolerability, and correct operation, it is necessary that the device is put on with the
utmost care. Any changes to the structure or adjustment of the device must be
prescribed by a physician and performed by an orthopedic technician. Under no
circumstances should the adjustment made by the physician/orthopedic technician be
altered. Use of the product is recommended for a single patient. With hypersensitive
patients, direct contact with skin may cause redness or irritation. In the case of onset
of pain, swelling, lumps or any unusual reaction, immediately contact your physician.

Ouvrir toutes les bandes et les fermées provisoirement derrière la chaussure.
Sortir et ouvrir le rembourrage de la coque en plastique.
Enfiler le rembourrage de manière a ce que le talon soit bien positionné a l’arrière.
Fermer ensuite a l’aide de la fermeture Velcro®(Fig. A).
Élargir la gouttière en plastique et mettre la botte tuteur rigide par le bas sur
la jambe (Fig. B).
L’attelle doit être verticale et centrée sur la cheville (Fig. C).
Fermer les bandes Velcro®en commancant par le bas (Fig. D) puis vers le haut (Fig. E).
Gonfler les coussins à air (Fig. F et G) et réaliser un port confortable.
gonflage : placer la pompe (Fig. H) avec le côté IN dans la soupape souhaitée
et gonfler.dépressurisation : placer la pompe fermement avec le côté OUT
dans la soupape souhaitée. Il suffit ensuite d’actionner la pompe ou d’appuyer
sur le coussin pour purger l’air.
L’orthopédiste-orthésiste est tenu d’expliquer au patient ce qu’il doit faire pour
régler la mise en place, le confort et la pression de sorte que le patient puisse
mettre la botte tout seul à l’avenir.
Si nécessaire, utiliser le coussin additionnel fourni pour adapter l’orthèse à la
jambe du patient (Fig. I).
Attention: Enlever l’attelle uniquement au moment préscrit par le personnel
médical. (Pour enlever l’attelle suivre les indications dans le sens inverse).

Aprire tutti i cinturini, allargarli (nella parte posteriore) e richiuderli provviso-
riamente su loro stessi. Sfilare l’imbottitura dallo stivaletto in plastica ed aprirla.
Indossare l’imbottitura in modo che il tallone sia ben aderente alla parte
posteriore e chiuderla a Velcro®(Fig. A).
Allargare la guida in plastica e tirare il tutore a stivaletto rigido sulla gamba,
dal basso (Fig. B).
Posizionarlo in modo che le aste risultino verticali e che siano centrate in
corrispondenza dei malleoli (Fig. C).
Chiudere i cinturini a Velcro®, partendo da quelli più vicini alle dita del piede
(Fig. D) e salendo verso l’alto (Fig. E).
Gonfiare le imbottiture ad aria (Fig. F e G) e creare una buona vestibilità.
Gonfiare: inserire la pompetta (Fig. H) con il lato IN nella valvola desiderata e
quindi introdurre aria. Sgonfiare: inserire saldamente la pompetta con il lato OUT
nella valvola desiderata; successivamente è possibile o utilizzare attivamente la
pompetta per far uscire l’aria oppure lasciarla inserita e premere sull’imbottitura
fino a completo sgonfiamento. L’operatore sanitario abilitato deve insegnare al
paziente come ottenere aderenza, comodità e compressione adeguate quando lo
stivaletto verrà riapplicato successivamente dal paziente stesso.
Se necessario è possibile utilizzare le imbottiture aggiuntive in dotazione per adatta-
re ancor più precisamente il tutore alla gamba del paziente (Fig. I).
Attenzione: rimuovere lo stivaletto solo e quando prescritto dall’operatore sanitario
abilitato (per rimuovere lo stivaletto seguire la sequenza sopra descritta al contrario).

PRECAUZIONI
Si raccomanda che le pressioni esercitate dal dispositivo non agiscano su parti del
corpo che presentano ferite, gonfiori o tumefazioni. In caso di dubbio sulle modalità
di applicazione, rivolgersi ad un tecnico ortopedico. È consigliabile non indossare il
dispositivo in vicinanza di fiamme libere o forti campi elettromagnetici.
AVVERTENZE
Il prodotto deve essere prescritto e utilizzato sotto controllo medico e applicato da un
tecnico ortopedico, che è la figura competente di riferimento sia per l’applicazione
sia per informazioni inerenti ad un uso sicuro, in conformità alle esigenze individuali.
Per garantirne l’efficacia, la tollerabilità e il corretto funzionamento è necessario che
l’applicazione venga effettuata con la massima cura. Qualsiasi eventuale modifica
di struttura o di regolazione del dispositivo deve essere prescritta da un medico ed
eseguita da un tecnico ortopedico. Se ne raccomanda l’utilizzo da parte di un solo
paziente. In soggetti ipersensibili il contatto diretto con la pelle potrebbe causare
rossori o irritazioni. In caso di comparsa di dolori, gonfiori, tumefazioni o qualsiasi
altra reazione anomala, rivolgersi immediatamente al proprio medico.
