Die ORTHOSERVICE AG erklärt als Hersteller in alleiniger Verantwortung, dass es sich
bei diesem Produkt um ein Medizinprodukt der Klasse I handelt und dass es gemäß
den grundlegenden Anforderungen der Richtlinien 93/42/EWG und 2007/47/EWG
hergestellt wurde. Diese Gebrauchsanweisung wurde nach den Vorgaben der
vorgenannten Richtlinien erstellt. Ihr Zweck ist es, die sichere und ordnungsgemäße
Anwendung des Medizinprodukts zu gewährleisten.

EIGENSCHAFTEN UND MATERIALIEN

Das Innenkissen in den klettfähigen Bezug einführen (falls die Klettfläche bereits
angebracht ist, diese entfernen). Das Innenkissen bis zu dem gewünschten
Volumen aufblasen; beachten, dass das Kissen zur besseren Stabilität am
Patienten seitlich anliegen muss. Die entsprechende Haftfläche zum Verschließen
des Bezugs (und zur Abdeckung des Ventils) anbringen.
Den Arm der gesunden Schulter durch den vom Schulter- und Achselgurt
gebildeten Ring führen, so dass die Öse, an der die verstellbaren Gurte
angebracht sind, nachdem sich der Arm in der richtigen Position
befindet, nach vorne zeigt (Abb. A).
Die Öse, an der die Gurte festgenäht sind, muss sich hingegen
auf dem Rücken befinden (Abb. B).
Das Kissen mit den entsprechenden Schnallen an den Trägern
befestigen (Abb. C). Die Länge der Träger regulieren, so dass der Arm auf dem
Kissen mit dem gewünschten Abduktionswinkel der Schulter aufliegt.
Die Handauflage in der günstigsten Greifposition positionieren
und am Bezug befestigen (Abb. D). Provisorisch auch die beiden Gurte
für den Unterarm befestigen.
Die Handauflage umfassen und die beiden Unterarmgurte (Abb. E)
gemäß ärztlicher Anweisung befestigen.
Hinweis: Darauf achten, dass der Humeruskopf nicht nach oben gedrückt wird.
Die keilförmige Armstütze unter der medialen (inneren) Seite des Arms anbringen.
(Es sollte möglichst kein Körperkontakt bestehen.) Den Keil durch den
entsprechenden Gurt befestigen (Abb. F).

Den Arm der gesunden Schulter durch den vom Schulter- und

Waschanweisung: Handwäsche bis 30° C mit neutraler Seife, nicht in der Nähe von
Wärmequellen trocknen.
• Das Produkt und seine Bestandteile nach dem Gebrauch sachgerecht entsorgen
VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN
Das Produkt sollte keinen Druck auf Körperteile ausüben, die Verletzungen, Schwellungen
oder Tumeszenzen aufweisen. Das Produkt sollte nicht zu stark festgezogen werden, damit
sich keine Druckstellen entwickeln oder darunter liegende Nerven und/oder Blutgefäße
abgedrückt werden. Es wird empfohlen, ein Kleidungsstück darunter zu tragen, sodass der
direkte Kontakt mit der Haut vermieden wird. Wenden Sie sich bei Zweifeln über die Art der
Anwendung bitte an Ihren Orthopädietechniker. Das Produkt sollte nicht in der Nähe von
offenem Feuer oder starken elektromagentischen Feldern verwendet werden.
HINWEISE
Das Produkt darf nur bei medizinischer Indikation oder auf ärztliche Anordnung
verwendet werden. Es muss von einem Orthopädietechniker angelegt werden, der sowohl für
das Anlegen wie auch für die Informationen über den sicheren Gebrauch entsprechend Ihren
persönlichen Anforderungen Ihr kompetenter Ansprechpartner ist. Die Wirksamkeit,
Verträglichkeit und die Funktionalität des Produktes sind nur dann garantiert, wenn es immer
mit größter Sorgfalt angelegt wird. Jede eventuelle Änderung der Struktur oder der
Einstellung muss von einem Arzt verordnet und von einem Orthopädietechniker ausgeführt
werden. Die Einstellung, die der Arzt/Orthopädietechniker vorgenommen hat, darf absolut
nicht verändert werden. Es wird empfohlen, dass das Produkt immer nur von einem
Patienten verwendet wird. Bei hypersensiblen Personen kann der direkte Hautkontakt zu
Rötungen und Reizungen führen. Sollten Schmerzen, Schwellungen, Tumeszenzen oder
andere ungewöhnliche Reaktionen auftreten, wenden Sie sich bitte sofort an Ihren Arzt.

Insert the inner cushion into the cover which is usable with Velcro®
(if the adhesive surface is already attached, remove it). Inflate the inner cushion
to the required volume. The cushion must be positioned against the side of the
patient to better ensure stability. Use the appropriate adhesive surface
to close the cover (and conceal the valve).
Insert the arm of the healthy side through the ring formed by the shoulder
and axilla strap so that the eyelet that is affixed to the adjustable strap faces
forwards after the arm has been moved to the correct position (fig. A).
The eyelets sewn to the straps must, on the other hand, be on the back (fig. B).
Secure the cushion with the appropriate buckles to the straps (fig. C). Regulate the
length of the straps so that the arm lies on the cushion with the desired angle of
abduction of the shoulder.
Position the hand support in the most convenient holding position and
secure it to the cover (fig. D). Provisionally attach both straps for the lower arm.
Grasp the hand support and secure the two lower arm straps (fig. E) in accordance
with the doctor’s instructions.
Note: Ensure that the head of the humerus is not pushed upwards.
Affix the wedge-shaped arm support under the medial (inner) side of the arm.
(There should be no body contact, if possible.) Secure the wedge
using the appropriate strap (fig. F).

PRECAUTIONS
It is advised that the pressure exerted by the product does not act on parts of the body
suffering from wounds, swelling or lumps. The product should not be tightened too firmly so
as to avoid the development of pressure points or compression of the nerves or blood vessels
underneath. It is advisable to wear the product over a garment, avoiding direct contact with
the skin. If in doubt about how to apply, contact an orthopaedic technician. The device should
not be worn in the vicinity of open flames or strong electromagnetic fields.
WARNINGS
The product may only be used in the event of medical indication or when prescribed by a
physician and must be applied by an orthopaedic technician, the competent authority figure
for the application as well as for information on the safe use, according to individual needs. To
ensure the effectiveness, tolerability, and correct operation, it is necessary that the device is
put on with the utmost care. Any changes to the structure or adjustment of the device must be
prescribed by a physician and performed by an orthopaedic technician. Under no
circumstances should the adjustment made by the physician/orthopaedic technician be
altered. Use of the product is recommended for a single patient. With hypersensitive patients,
direct contact with skin may cause redness or irritation. In the case of onset of pain, swelling,
lumps or any unusual reaction, immediately contact your physician.
